☆GEARING UP FOR RAMADAN 2☆

Asalamualaikum!  I recently got a message about these 10 things which should be kept in mind before and during Ramadan... So I thought of sharing this ♡

PLAN IN ADVANCE:

Time managment is divided between planning and application. To plan for Ramadan we need to clear regarding the goals(Maqasid) of Ramadan, which is to attain taqwa. Your goal for Ramadan

- to achive taqwa, and so on..

CALCULATE HOW MUCH IBAADAH TIME YOU WILL HAVE:

So work out in advance how much time you will have daily for Ibadaah, then set goals to get that much Ibaadah done.

The formula is simple: 24 Hours

- (Sleep time, Work time, Family Responsibility)= Ibaadah time.

 SET CLEAR GOALS:

Set S.M.A.R.T goals: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound.

ALLOCATE TIME FOR EACH GOAL:

Allocate specific times of each day things for each important act of worship. Be specific as possible and stick to your times.

UTILIZE THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING:

MORE BARAQAH + FRESH MIND

The early mornings are known having Baraqah (blessings) and it is a time when we are not pre-occupied with work and family.

SCHEDULE IN A FAMILY HALAQA:

Ramadan is the perfect time for the family to bond and grow in Imaan together. Read a chapter of an Islamic book (or listen to a lecture) the discuss its contents with family including small children.

DEDICATE TIME FOR QURAN:

Ramadan is the month of the Quran and so it is obvious that time must be dedicated daily to the Quran. So recite properly, study Tafsir, and reflect on it meanings.

AVOID MULTI- TASKING:

Allocate specific times of each day things for each important act of worship. Be specific as possible and stick to your times.

FAST FROM EXCESSIVE SOCIALIZING:

Ramadan is the month of ITIKAF, one of the goals of Itikaf is to take a break from our social lives so that we can focus on our relationship with Allah.

Attend less Iftaar parties, log into Facebook, Twitter, etc. for shorter durations and excuse yourself from unnecessary gatherings.

STAY HEALTHY... TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY:

You cannot accomplish your goals if you are feeling lazy, weak, sleep-deprived or agitated. Get enough sleep, eat healthy(avoid oily and sugary food) and stay hydrated(drink lots of water at night).
