~Birthday Tea~
He looked up from his phone with a frown on his face. "You bloody wanker I do NOT!" England yelled next to me to America.
"Dude! You totally do!" He laughed back, gasping for air as he laughed. England's face reddened.
"You git! Shut it before I come over and slap you around!" He stood, hands on the table threateningly. His furry brows scrunched together as he frowned harder. His face put Spain's tomatoes to shame.
"Make me!" He laughed again. France interrupted the two.
"~What is going on between you two? ~I would like to know." France said in his usual flirty tone. I stood up.
"Sí. I would like to know as well." England looked down to me as he straightened his tie and stood up straight.
"Nothing that is of any concern to you, Miss." He said and straightened his jacket and sat back down.
"I don't know dude, you might want to be a little." America said to me with a cheesy wink. I blushed and glanced over to France, who shrugged his shoulders. I sat back down slowly as Germany continued on about something in Europe. I didn't really pay attention because I was Mexico and was in North America.
After yet another unsuccessful meeting, I walked over to the coat rack and grabbed my "drug rug" (as America called it (that asshole...)) and Arthur's dress coat. They were arguing again about the same thing they were earlier. I walked up to them both. "You do too!" America poked Arthur's chest, which infuriated him.
"Don't touch me, fool! I absolutely do NOT!"
"Yeah-huh!"
"This is ridiculous! I know what I feel! Why am I arguing with an idiot like you!?" He yelled and snatched his jacket from my hands. It startled me because I didn't even think he saw me standing there, but also made me mad because he just snatched it. "Let's go before he burns anymore of my braincells." He mumbled. I followed him, a little angry myself. After we turned into the hallway, with America laughing in the background, I decided to speak.
"Hey, you seem a little enojado in there, can I know what you were arguing about?" I just let the snatching thing go. He was silent for a moment. His face went back to a slight blush and he stared straight ahead as we walked.
"It really is none of your concern." I was about to argue, but America popped his head into the hall and shouted at us.
"Do it!" He yelled and ran back into the room, giggling. I raised an eyebrow.
"Shut it you git!" A smiled cracked on my face.
"Now can I know?" I elbowed his arm playfully. He sighed.
"I would rather you didn't know." He gave a nervous smile. "Now, would you-..." he glanced down at me, but caught my eyes. He stared for a few seconds. I waved my hand in front of his eyes.
"¿Hola? Earth to England!" I giggled. He snapped out of it and blushed deeply, rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh-... My apologies, Mexico. I was going to ask you over for tea?" I smiled widely.
"¡Sí! I would like that very much!" I squealed with excitement. I was still a child mentally and emotionally, but physically I had the body of a short, Mexican teenager about the age of 17. "Vamanos!" I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him down the hall and out the doors to our cars. We decided to go in separate cars so I could still have mine. His house wasn't far from where the meeting was this time. I quickly got in my car and turned on the radio, bobbing my head to my catchy music. It wasn't annoying modern music, it was more alternative rock/pop.
He was parked right next to me. As I turned my car on, I caught him staring at me again with that same look he had earlier. I smiled slightly, then waved awkwardly, getting his attention. He snapped out of it again and I let out a laugh. He pulled out and I followed. It was about a 20 minute drive. Once there, we got out of our cars and headed inside.
I could always feel the presence of his magical friends, but I could never see them. "Down, unicorn! You know jumping is not allowed!" He pulled a fantasy creature off me like it was a jumping dog. I giggled and held out my hand for it to sniff, because I knew it liked me. I was over quite often enough to be familiarized with them, even if I could not see them. I felt quick tiny breaths on my hand, which made me smile.
We walked into the kitchen and I sat in my usual chair at the table. "Jasmin?" He asked as he walked over to the sink to fill the kettle with water.
"Sí." I had it every time I came over, which was often. I had my own room upstairs right next to Arthur's. It was like a second master bedroom, and practically my second home. I've spent countless nights here with Arthur curled up on the couch watching movies. I'd stay here for days, sometimes weeks at a time. I knew where everything was in his house, although I should say mansion. There were a total of 54 rooms in the whole house.
He heated the kettle and we chatted. It was November 1, my birthday. He asked me how my day was going, the usual. "And what did you want for your birthday?" He asked. The kettle screamed and he poured me a cup, brining it over to the table. I rested my arms on the table and my chin on top, staring out the window.
"Something no one can give me." I sighed. He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh? Like what?" He moved his over to the side, probably listening to his flying mint bunny. Then he blushed and clenched his jaw.
"Well... I just wanted to have fun today but there was the stupid meeting today..." I grunted and buried my face in my arms on the table.
"So, you want the day back?" He asked shakily. I raised my head to see him glancing around nervously in a sweat, blushing horribly. I raised an eyebrow and slowly nodded. His ear perked again. He turned around and yelled at one of his creatures. "Shut it you wanker!" I jumped at the sudden yell and my arms, out of instinct, wrapped around my torso. He looked back at me and sighed. "My apologies." He sipped his hot tea, although I could tell he was burning up. I stretched my arm out across the table and put my hand in his.
"It's okay." I went to grab my tea, but knocked it over, spilling all over my white shirt. It was hot and burned my skin. I screamed in pain and shot up. Arthur stood as well, running to the closet to grab a towel. The hot liquid seeped into my shirt and continued to burn me. The white cloth became see through. I blushed.
It was so unbearably hot, without even thinking, I pulled my shirt off over my head and gripped it in my hand, relieving myself from the searing pain. I breathed a sigh of relief. I looked up only to see Arthur staring at me, once again putting Spain's tomatoes to shame. I just realized I was only wearing a bra. I quickly held my shirt up to my chest in embarrassment. "Arthur!" I screamed. He turned his head to the side as if to respect the privacy he had already taken.
"I-... I am so sorry Isabelle! T-take this towel and g-go change..." He held out a towel to me, still looking away. His other hand was pulling down his shirt to hide his tightened pants. I snatched the towel and quickly walked out of the room upstairs to my room. I locked the door behind me and leaned against the wall. My heart was pounding and my face was hot.
"That just happened..." I whispered to myself. "That... That just... happened..." I had a sudden skip in my heart and it fluttered. Then I looked in the mirror on the wall across from me, realizing my quickly change in heart. I marched up to it. "Wait. What am I doing?!" I shook my head. "I just need to change and go back downstairs like nothing happened." I rummaged through the drawers in the room, soon realizing that there were no shirts. Or any clothes for that. I remembered that I took them all home to wash. I felt rude using his machines to wash my clothes. He even offered to wash them for me. How sweet. I cracked open the door to shout down to England. "Arthur..."
He took a second to answer. "Y-yes?" He said. His voice was high pitched and squeaky, which made me giggle.
"Can I borrow one of your tank tops? I forgot that I took all my clothes home." I was too warm to want to wear an actual shirt. Once again, he took a moment to answer.
"O-of course. I'll come get it for y-?"
"No! It's okay! I know where they are!" I squeaked and slammed the door. As creepy as it sounded, I knew where his clothes were and how they organized them. I opened the door that connected our rooms together like hotel rooms. A cold burst of air tickled my skin as it rushed past me into my warm room. He always kept his door closed. Goosebumps raised on my skin and began to tingle. I shivered.
I looked around for his dresser. I started walking over to it, but my eyes caught a little black jewelry box laying on his bed very neatly with a bright mint bow on it. It was my favorite color. I drifted over to it. I glanced down at the tag. "To: My Love - From: Arthur Kirkland." I slowly reached for it. Then the door burst open and Arthur looked very worried and startled. My hands shot up to my chest and my legs came together like a child. "Lo siento p! Lo siento! I didn't mean to-... I-..." I stuttered terribly. He eyes staggeredly scanned my petite body, making my face darken.
He walked over to his dresser, pulled out a gray muscle tank and handed it to me. I quickly pulled it on over my goosebumped body. My bra showing out of the sides of the tank. We stood there for a minute, saying nothing. I glanced down to the box to hint to him that I wanted to know what it was. He must have taken the hint because he picked it up and shakily handed it to me. "H-happy b-birthday Mexico..." His hand shook. I slowly took the box from him and carefully took off the bow, placing it on the bed. I opened the little black box and inside was a beautiful silver bracelet with the saying "Love is like a fairytale: it's only real if you believe it is" engraved on it. My hand went up to my mouth as I looked up at him.
"Ar-... Arthur..." I whispered. He looked at his shoes in embarrassment. I held up his chin and looked him in the eyes, even if he was much taller than me. His Kelly green eyes sparkled brightly in the sunlight that was seeping through the thin curtains. "You got this for me?" I said, barely a whisper. He nodded and took my hand that was under his chin.
"And-... And there's something underneath it..." He took the bracelet out of the box and put it on my right wrist, which revealed a silver necklace that had a gold key pendant. On the handle of the key, it said "I love you." I started welling up with tears... tears of happiness. My face grew to a loving grin. I jumped into Arthur's arms and wrapped my arms around his neck (which required him to bend over just a little). I let go of him and he took the necklace out of the box, putting it on me from behind.
After he clicked on, I looked at it in my hand. His arms wrapped around my waist and he nuzzled his face into my neck. "Te amo, Arthur." I whispered. His hands gently roamed up and down my sides, tickling my already chilled skin. He kissed my neck.
"I love you too." He whispered. His hand started to massage a little harder and they roamed onto my stomach through the large arm holes of the tank top. A moan escaped my lips and a smiled cracked through. I turned around and jumped into his arms, wrapping my arms around his neck once again. Our noses touched. He smiled and grabbed me by the waist, picking me up. I giggled and wrapped my legs around his waist. We brought me to the bed and gently laid me down, hands still rubbing my sides. He attacked me with kisses and almost immediately took dominance. "Happy birthday, my love."
