{Jaden's PoV.}

After Yusei got dressed as well and finally finished his hair, we were able to leave the apartment and go downstairs. I wonder what this Yugi Neko is all about... I hope he is nice. There are this stupid alpha Neko's who think they are the best. Just because their bigger and impregnated a female or two.

I shook my head. No. I can't just assume things without ever meeting him. He could be nice... I looked up at Yusei. He smiled and then knocked at the door. It opened a few moments later and a man with fluffy, white hair became visible. "Oh. Hey Yusei. Marik told us you wanted to come over so... come in I guess." Yusei smiled and we went inside. I walked closer to Yusei. This guy is scary... "You're definitely not a morning person." "Yeah well I don't have a choice about that!" We walked into a big living room where I saw this Yami guy from yesterday. And then I saw a Neko that looks very similar to him curled up against him.

"Good morning Yusei!" He had a warm smile on his face and stroke the Neko's, I think it's Yugi, head. I could hear him purr. "Sit down! Don't just stand there." Yusei gladly sat down next to him and I just followed. "So. We haven't introduced ourselves properly when we met yesterday. My name is Yami. It's really nice to meet you." I looked at the man suprised. Why is he so nice to me? "I'm... Jaden. I-it's nice to... meet you too." The man smiles and pats Yugi's head again. "Come on Aibou. Say something." The other Neko looked at me and smiled.

"Hi! I'm Yugi!" He smiled and his white, fluffy ears twitched in excitement. I looked at him a little nervous, but smiled as well. Yami must be a really nice owner, since I've never seen a Neko so happy. A man with sand blonde hair kneels down in front of me and grins. "Hello little guy! I'm Marik! And fluffy over there is our buddy Bakura. He maybe seems a bit scary and cold at first but don't worry. He has a soft heart. He just doesn't like strangers to see that."

I nodded again and smiled back. "Nice to meet you Marik." Marik grins from ear to ear and ruffles through my hair. "Oh Ra you're so adorable!" I blushed in embarrassment. Yusei laughed. "Be nice Marik. He's still very shy." "Sorry sorry." Marik smiled at him. "He's just so cute." "I know", Yusei said and smiled at me. I blushed even more. He called me cute! HE CALLED ME CUTE! Yugi chuckled and cuddled more against Yami, purring. Yami smiled and stroked through his hair.

"So Jaden. How is life with our stoic Yusei?" I tilted my head in confusion. "Stoic? He's not stoic. He's nice and friendly and keeps apologizing for things that aren't even his fault." I could see Yusei blushing in embarrassment. The other three men laughed. "Aww did Yusei finally show his soft side~" "S-shut up! He was scared okay? I just wanted to help him..." I smiled and cuddled a bit against Yusei. "Thank you... for taking care of me... you're the best owner I ever had." Yusei blushed more and smiled, softly stroking through my hair. "You're welcome..."

"Awwwwww~" I blushed a bit and glared at Yugi. "Says the one sleeping on your owners lap!" Yugi smiled and nuzzled more against Yami. "I'm allowed to do that... and it's nice and comfy." Yami patted Yugi's head and smiled more. "How about you two go to your room while Yusei and I catch up on some things?" "Sure." Yugi climbed off of Yami's lap and smiled at me. "Follow me. I'll show you my room." I looked up at Yusei and he smiled down at me and nodded. "Have fun you two."

I climbed off the couch and followed Yugi. He lead me into a room with a big bed and a lot of shelves. "It's not really my room... it's Yami's. We share his big bed. When I first came here I had a lot of nightmares and was terrified to go near someone else than Yami... so he never forced me into sleeping in a Neko bed." I nodded to show him that I understood. "He adopted me five months ago... and he never punished or hurt me ever since I came here..." Yugi smiled softly. "He's very nice... always worries about me and gets angry when Bakura is in a bad mood and yells at me."

"He sounds like a very nice person..." I smiled softly. "Yusei adopted me yesterday... and he is constantly worried about me and when he wants me to do something he's always careful... acting like I could break any second..." Yugi chuckled a bit. "Yami did that too... he's a bit calmer now... but still very protective... anyways. Where do you sleep?" "Yusei allowed me to sleep in his bed... and honestly... I'm glad he did... I had a nightmare and he immediately tried calming me down... he... he's the first owner that actually cares for me and wants me to be comfortable..."

Yugi smiles and pats my shoulder. "From what I've heard about Yusei... he lived alone for a long time. His foster brothers live far away from here... and the rest of his friends live in the city... Yami says that Yusei drowns himself in his work and almost never goes outside to enjoy the weather or see people..." I looked at Yugi with wide eyes. Yusei was completely alone? He locks himself away? "I... didn't knew that..." Yugi looks at me. "Jaden... Yusei is a very nice person... but he needs someone to take care of him... someone that makes sure he learns to enjoy his life again..."

"Yugi... I... I don't know what I could do to help him..." "Be there for him... make sure he does something else than work... that would already help him a lot." I nodded. "I'll try... thank you..." He smiled at me. "You're welcome..."

Two hours later Yami called us back into the living room. "Alright you two. It's time to say goodbye for now." I nodded and fave Yugi a quick hug. "I'll see you again soon." "Of course you will." He chuckled and we separated again. I walked over to Yusei and smiled. "Thank you for the nice noon..." "You're welcome. It's nice to see you doing something else than working", Yami said and smiled. Yusei nodded. "See you tomorrow." Yusei gave a small wave and left the apartment together with me. Once we were back upstairs he looked at his watch.

"2 pm... this took longer than expected..." He looked down at me and smiled. "Did you enjoy your time with Yugi?" I immediately nodded. "He's nice! We're gonna be good friends!" He smiled and ruffled my hair. "I'm glad you two get along. I need to get some work done so... you can go take a nap or watch something on TV." He stated to walk towards his small office. I looked at him with sad eyes and quickly grabbed his arm. "No... please... don't lock yourself away and work the whole day..." Yusei stared at me for a few moments.

"Jaden I really need to get my work done. I'm already behind schedule because I adopted you yesterday. So just let me work and stop keeping me away from it." I flinched and let go of his arm. Yusei immediately walked towards his room, not looking back once. I sat there on the floor and stared at the closed door, my ears folded back. "Yusei... if you didn't want me... then why did you adopt me? If you prefer work over me... then you should just bring me back..." I stood up and walked towards the bedroom, quickly climbing on top of the bed and hiding beneath the blanket, hugging a pillow close to me while I softly cried to myself.

Me: Wow... it's been 4 1/2 months since I've updated this story... I'm really sorry guys!

Jaden: you better be! You made Yusei be mean to me!

Yusei: I would never prefer work over Jaden!

Me: It wasn't my fault... I just wanted to have some feels in this...

Jaden: Still don't like it...

Me: I know...
