{Jaden's PoV.}

Sunlight hit my face. I growled and cuddled more into the pillows. A warm, steady sound lulled me back to sleep.

Wait... since when do pillows have a heartbeat? I opened my eyes and found myself in Yusei's arms. He was still asleep and his hair was messy. He looked tired... then I remembered. My nightmare. And how Yusei held me close, comforted me... he protected me. I smiled and carefully made my way out of his grasp. He stirred a bit but continued to sleep soundly. I covered him in the blanket again and left the room, making my way into the kitchen. Let's see... what would Yusei like for breakfast? I opened the freezer and looked inside. How about eggs and bacon? My previous owner liked it. And that's one of the only things I can do without instructions. So I grabbed everything I needed and put it on the counter. Then I grabbed a chair and pulled it in front of the stove. Dam my sice... why am I so small? Nevermind...I continued to make breakfast and hummed a song that I heard on the radio. I liked it and sometimes I heard it in my owners home.

After a while I started to sing instead of humming but stayed quiet enough for Yusei to not hear me. After a minute or so I heard a small noise but ignored it, since I believe it was just Yusei moving around in the other room. So I focused on the food I'm making and continued to sing to myself. Breakfast was almost finished when my stomach growled in protest and begged me to feed it first. But I ignored my hunger and put everything on a big plate. I hope Yusei likes it. I turned around to climb of the chair when I saw Yusei standing there. I yelped in suprise and almost fell down. Yusei quickly came towards me. "You okay? I didn't mean to scare you." "I-im fine... how long..." "I woke up when I realized that you were gone. I smelled something delicious and thought that might come from you. So I came here and saw you. You were singing to yourself and you looked so happy and peaceful, so I decided to not disturb you."

I blushed a deep red. He heard everything? I'm so screwed. "I'm sorry master. I didn't mean to wake you up." "You didn't. And just so you know. You have a beautiful singing voice." My blush spread over my hole face. "R-really? You liked it?" "Yes. I hope you don't mind me listening to it." "No... it's fine." Then I remembered the plate and picked it up. "I made you breakfast." He looked at the plate and smiled. His eyes sparkled again. "Awww thank you little one. You don't have to do something like this." "But I wanted to..." He smiled and grabbed the plate. "Have you eaten yet?" "No..." "then let's grab you something." He put the plate on the table and grabbed something out of the shelf. "I bought some stuff yesterday, but didn't know what you would like. So I let you decide, what you like most." He put a plate with Neko food on it on the table. I jumped on a chair and looked at it.

"That's... really for me?" "Yes. Now try it." I obeyed and ate a few bites. It tastes amazing! Finally something that's not like that grey slime in the shelter. Yusei just smiled and ate his breakfast. Once we both were done, he put away the plates. "So I assume you liked that." "Yes! It was amazing!" I realized what I said and folded my ears back. "I mean... it was good. Thank you master." Yusei just rolled his eyes and picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck and looked at him confused. "I told you what I think about this whole master thing." "I know... it's just... I'm so used to it." "I know... take your time, but try to call me Yusei." "I try..." He walked into his bedroom again and grabbed a few things out of his closet. "I picked some clothes for you. We both gonna take a shower now and then meet up whit Yami and Yugi." I nodded and he carried me to the bathroom.

"Ma... Yusei. I can walk by myself." "I know. But I want to carry you. It feels nice. And your bruises and wounds haven't healed yet. So I give your body a little rest." He sat me down in the bathtub and helped me taking of my shirt. Well more like his shirt but whatever. He still respected my fear and was very careful. After I was showered and dried up, he told me to get dressed while he was taking a shower himself. I grabbed the stuff he picked for me. It was a black sleeveless shirt, short, brown pants, a pair of boxers. I put everything on and grabbed the collar. It was red with gold dragon carvings on it. So he kept his word... I smiled and put it on. I added a red wristband on each wrist and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked so different... I smiled at my reflection.

My new life has now begun... with Yusei at my side.

Yusei: My baby~

Jaden: I can't sing... not that good.

Me: Are you kidding? I listened to your songs on YouTube! You can sing and rap very well!

Jaden: Really? No one seems to think like that.

Yusei: Me, Yugi and Yami think so. Remember.

Jaden: Singing with you guys is something different.

Yusei: No its not!

Me: Well let them continue this. Hope you enjoyed it!
