Sophie's POV

After the hail from Oralie

Sophie said bye to her friends and turned towards the demigods.

"Well, since you are all staying here, you all need clothes." Sophie said. "Well, I can give my clothes to all the girls here, since we're all almost the same height, and for the boys..."

"I could give my clothes to the boys." Grady offered, and the demigods thanked them.

Grady and Sophie gave them their clothes and showed them their rooms in Havenfield. (Havenfield had a LOT of rooms on the first floor)

Just to describe how I imagine Havenfield:

ground floor: living room, kitchen, bathroom, dining room (the dining room is attached to the living room and the kitchen)

first floor: several guest bedrooms with attached bathrooms, storage room

second floor: Edaline and Grady's bedroom, Jolie's bedroom, bathrooms, Edaline's workplace, Grady's workplace

third floor: ballroom/party room aka Sophie's bedroom with an attached bathroom and walk-in closet

I hope, that this helped you in imagining my version of Havenfield.

Sophie's POV

Sophie pretended to sleep for a while.

After she checked telepathically that everyone was asleep, she stood up from her bed and changed her clothes into a pair of black tunic, black cape and black boots -all of that without light, because if she would turn the light on, Sandor would know and would stop her from going.

Then, she quietly opened a portal to Atlantis and stepped in.

The portal led her directly in front of Oralie's palace.

The pink flowers in Oralie's garden glowed neon-pink at night, and the view was breathtaking, but Sophie was not here for sight-seeing.

She went to the doorstep and knocked as loud as she could without the other councillors hearing it.

After a little while, a half-asleep Oralie opened the door.

Her eyes widened as soon as she saw Sophie on her doorstep.

Oralie gestured her to come in quietly and carefully closed the door without making any noise.

"What do you want?" she asked Sophie while leading her into the living room.

Oralie clapped twice, and a soft yellow glow spread out in the room.

"Well," Sophie's voice sounded deadly silent. "I manifested as an Empath. I wonder why." Sophie added sarcastically.

Oralie's eyes widened in shock.

"But Mr Forkle had promised me that they had made sure you wouldn't manifest as an Empath!" she argued.

"Well, I did manifest as an Empath." Sophie said matter-of-factly.

What she didn't tell Oralie, was about Elysian's little visit to Havenfield and that Keefe had joined the Neverseen to save Sophie.

"And I need a mentor to teach me. I can't tell anybody that I have manifested as an Empath, or else..."

"...everybody could find out." Oralie finished Sophie's sentence.

"I have an idea." Sophie had already planned this out before she had gotten ready to come to visit Oralie in the middle of the night. "I could visit you every night at 1 in the morning. You should be awake too. Then, you could teach me. But, no one should know. I know that we both won't get enough sleep." Sophie and Oralie both sighed. "But this is a sacrifice we both have to make, if we want to keep this secret."

"Okay," Oralie replied. "but not today. I need to prepare some things to teach you. So come back tomorrow night at 1 in the morning, okay?"

They both agreed, and Sophie left back to Havenfield.

She changed her clothes once again into pajamas and looked out of her window into the night sky.

The moon shone brightly above the fields.

And Keefe was somewhere out there.

Goodnight, Keefe! she transmitted into the night sky. Wherever you are now, I will come and find you. I love you.

Sadie's POV

As soon as they were in front of Brooklyn house, Sadie stretched out her fist, and the huge door opened.

If Drew and Tim were surprised by that, they didn't show.

Sadie gestured them to follow her and led them inside towards the living room.

Walt was playing basketball with Cheops and invisible players, and as soon as he noticed Sadie, he waved and blew her a flying kiss and mouthed, What are those two doing here? towards Sadie.

Later! she mouthed back, and Walt nodded and continued playing basketball with Ra's sun disk as the basket.

She saw Carter and Felix playing chess and the younger kids watching TV on the couch.

Carter had started working at the food-court, but, apparently, he was REALLY bad at cooking Meat on a Stick, so, obviously, he got fired.

After he burnt down the food-court's kitchen.

Well, the initiates did fix it all up with a hi-nehm spell, but still.

Carter and Felix noticed her and also mouthed What are those two doing here? towards Sadie, and she answered the same thing she had answered to Walt a few seconds prior.

Clio wasn't at home since she worked part-time at the Brooklyn Central Library.

And the "babysitters" were outside on the terrace, talking and laughing.

The formal word for the adults was "Caretakers", but the initiates all just called them babysitters.

Y'all, I've never been to Brooklyn, so I don't know where the central library is, or if there is one at the first place.
So, I'm just gonna assume that there is a Starbucks, a central library, an elementary school and more in Brooklyn.

So, my idea was, that all the initiates worked according to a "work-schedule".

Week A:

• Sadie

Week B:

• Carter

• Walt

Others:

• Julian

They all had part-time jobs, but on week A Sadie, Clio, Jaz and Paul and Alyssa went to work. On week B, Carter, Walt, Zia and Jaz went to work.

But where were Zia and Jaz?

According to the delicious smell that wavered now in the air, she took it as a in the kitchen.

Zia had been baking a LOT now since she was a part-time baker.

So, she wanted to improve her baking skills, by baking sweets and desserts everyday.

And Jaz was more than happy to help Zia with that.

Honestly, those two could enter in a baking contestand win.

Apparently, they were baking chocolate cupcakes today, she found out as she entered the kitchen with Drew and Tim.

Zia and Jaz were both wearing baby-blue aprons with the words "A cook's best apron" stitched onto them.

"Hey, Sadie, what one?" Zia asked, offering her a cupcake.

So, Sadie replied just the right answer.

"Yeah, of course!!! Also, before you ask, these two are my friends, Tim and Drew!" she lied through her teeth.

Friends, pfft!!!

But she had no other choice than to bring them both here, she HAD to know more about the both of them.

Zia also offered Tim and Drew cupcakes and they thanked Zia and gladly took them.

"Now, um... Zia, uh, we, I mean Tim, Drew and I, need to go to my room... cuz... school stuff!" she improvised.

Wow, Sadie!!!

School stuff!!!

Really great!!!

"Umm... Sadie...? You don't go to school anymore... You go to college!!!" Zia knitted her eyebrows in concern.

"Sorry... um... Zia, I'll explain it to you later, ok?" Sadie looked at Zia with pleading eyes for understanding, then she grabbed Tim and Drew's hands and rushed out of the kitchen towards her room.

Once they were inside her room, Sadie closed the door and pressed her back on it.

"Oof!!!" She was breathing heavily. "You two got some serious explanation to do!" She glared at the both of them.

"Ok, ok, we'll tell you!!!" They both raised their hands in defense.

"But first, let's sit down, cuz this explanation will take REALLY long!" Drew said.

So, they sat down on the carpet in Sadie's room and Tim and Drew started the super-long explanation.
