Sonic pulled up to the parking lot of the Child Protection Center, he was thankful for Scarlet to give him the address so he can get an idea as to where the building is. Whenever he went out alone he ways had something that belonged to Scourge, so he was wearing a light plain gray long sleeve hoodie, underneath an old red t-shirt that had a hole in the chest in the shape of the two scars on Scourge chest and baggy jeans with his red sneakers, he took look at himself in the rear view mirror, besides the permanent burn scars on his neck and shoulders as well as the bite mark on his ear, he took a deep breath before leaving the car and heading inside the building.

Upon entering the building, he took notice of all the kids that were being taking care of Social Services Health Workers, people who are trained to be therapist for the children, who were suffering through mental issues...Something that he had when he was taken away from his Father, back then he didn't say anything to his Specialist cause of the fear that he was gonna be hit...he always flinched when some raised their hand towards him, he was still recovering from that, he felt his heart beating against his rib cage, he didn't need to think about that, not when he didn't have Scourge with him.

When made it to the room, that Raven was in...he lets out a sigh of relief, glad to see that the chipmunk was in purple light hoodie with a pink star printed onto it, a pair black sweatpants, and her purple sneakers. He pushed opened the door.

"Raven look who it is?" Scarlet said as she pointed to the door.

"M-Mommy!!" Raven called out as she got up from the floor running over to Sonic and hugging him.

"Mommy? Am I...doesn't matter at least safe..." Sonic thought, he wraps his arms around Raven before picking her up, he looked down to see what Scarlet and her were playing with, nothing but some plastic dinosaur toys as well as a dragon plush toy.

"Thank you for coming at such short notice...but after what happened yesterday, I just had to get her out of there" Scarlet said as her ears tilted back.

"N-Not at a-all" Sonic stutters. Raven wrapped her arms around his neck holding onto him, she didn't mind being held, since it was something that Silver did when she was to tired to walk.

Scarlet noticed the stuttering...of course the Center has records of all previous children that have been put into their care, and with this being Green Hill, which wasn't a long drive away from Seaside Hill, where Sonic and his family lives. She had seen records of Sonic being here before he was adopted by Amy and Rouge. "I'm sorry...I forgot this place brought back some unpleasant memories..."

"I-I can manage...I h-have to overcome m-my past I-if I want to m-make it t-to the future" Sonic stammers.

"Very well..." Scarlet clears her throat, "Well they are just as bad as I thought they be...when you told me your story, The Dad is smoker and doesn't think twice about not smoking in front of her...not to mention that random guns he has lying around, and The Mother is nothing but a self-center little brat...that exploits her own daughter in appropriate fashion, just for money" Scarlet pulls out her phone and shows Sonic the screenshots that she took from the social media account.

Sonic looked the photos and people were definitely paying, Sally for photos of Raven, he just handed the phone the back...not wanting to see more.

"Now normally...We let the court decide the final decision...but considering that I have proof of this illegal activity, court will be out of the picture" Scarlet said as she places down the document that needed to be signed. "Considering that you are Shaundre's Mother, that makes you and your husband legible to be her legal guardian, therefore only one of you are needed to sign"

Sonic took the pen in his hand, Raven looked at the sheet of paper in confusion as she was let go.

Sonic lets out a sigh of relief finally being able to breath after leaving the center, he still felt his heart pounding against his rib cage...and the strong urge to cry...not out of happiness, but just out of self pity, he was never gonna get over his past, it was just to traumatizing for his mind to just let go. He adjusted the rear-view-mirror, sitting in the backseat in her own car seat was Raven, holding her new dragon plush that was gift from Scarlet to her. He pulled out of the parking lot and make the journey back home.

After getting home, Sonic told Raven that her siblings are probably still asleep and so is Scourge. He opened the door, the small chipmunk ran inside and the hedgehog closed the door behind himself.

"Sonic?"

Sonic jumped before he saw his husband, "S-Scourge...I-I t-thought y-you'd s-still be a-asleep..."

Scourge pulled Sonic into a hug. "Your Stuttering...more than normal, and my mind was telling me to get up"

Sonic started trembling before the tears started streaming down his face, until he just couldn't keep in anymore and started to sob into his husband. "That's it...just let it all out" Scourge said.

"I-Is Mommy okay?" Raven asked looking up at Scourge.

The emerald hedgehog, smiled and patted her head "He's gonna be fine...this is just something Mommy's and Daddy's do when they are upset"

It took awhile, before Sonic just cried himself back to sleep, something he hadn't done in a long time, Scourge just wipes away the remaining tears from his husband's muzzle, before planting a small kiss on his lips. "You just rest, now" he whispers to Sonic, as he pulls the blanket over him.
