Age Seven

Hailey and JJ were running through Hailey's backyard when suddenly JJ stopped making Hailey and look at him.

"Hailey promise me something." JJ started.

"What?"

"Promise me, we will always be best friends." He said and Hailey smiled linking her pinky finger with JJ's.

"I Hailey Marshall promise to be JJ Maybank's best friend forever and ever." Hailey said making JJ laugh.

Age Fourteen

Hailey was helping her mom cook dinner they were having spaghetti Hailey's all time favorite. When suddenly her phone started to ring she looked at who was calling to find that it was JJ, she rolled her eyes and simply decline the call. Making her mother worried cause whenever JJ called Hailey would get all excited and leave the room and they would talk for hours.

"Honey, what happen with you and JJ?" Melissa asked and Hailey just shook her head.

"Nothing, don't worry about it." Hailey said trying to hold back tears from the memory of JJ and that girl kissing.

"Honey I just--"

"I said don't worry about it, mom!" Hailey yelled at her mom making her father and uncle come in.

"What's going on in here?" William asked.

"Nothing, just drop it." Hailey said.

"Hailey you were yelling at your mother we have a right to know." Jack exclaims.

"Fine, you want to know so bad! JJ was calling me and mom asked why didn't I pick up, I said don't worry about it, but she didn't drop it. Me and him are just going through a falling out ok." Hailey said then grabbed her phone and walked out of the kitchen, she ran to her room and slammed the door shut then she started crying.

Age Fifteen

Hailey and Sarah were laying on the beach as their other friends were all in the water, Rafe and Topper came up to the two catching the girls attentions

"Well, hello, boys." Hailey said covering her eyes protecting them from the sun.

"Hello, girls." Topper said and Hailey knew they had something up their sleeves.

"Can we help you?" Sarah asked and the boys smirked.

"Well, you two just look like y'all could use some water." Rafe said making the girls confused but that quickly left once they felt their bodies leave the ground and the were over the boys shoulders.

"Put me down!"

"Topper, no!"

They kept shouting and kicking until they were thrown into the water. Once, they resurface the two girls splash water at the two boys.

Everything eventually calmed down and now it was night time and everyone was by a fire. Topper and Sarah were next to each other, Scarlet and Kelce, Nathan and his girlfriend Ellie, and then Hailey and Rafe. Everything felt prefect and at that time Hailey was happy...or so she thought.
