Meanwhile as everyone was at the castle hearing the news and saying their goodbyes.

Mephisto was outside in the garden just sitting on a bench. Not sure what else to do.

But then Diavolo walked over to him and ask sitting down next to him.

Diavolo : how are doing right now?"

Mephisto : .....how do you think I'm doing?.....he killed himself to save me. When I should of been the one to die....."

Diavolo : ...... I'm sorry....."

Mephisto : ......it doesn't matter......
Your apologies won't fix this.
Nothing will"

Diavolo : ......I can't imagine how you feel"

Mephisto : I hated him......I hate him more that he made me love him just to do this....."

Diavolo : ......"

Mephisto : nothing will bring him back.....I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that......"

Diavolo :....!?"

Suddenly he got an idea and said.

Diavolo : I know it might be hard but you should at least say your goodbyes to him"

Mephisto : I can't...."

Diavolo : I'll leave you alone now"

After this Diavolo got up and walked away going to Barbatos with his idea.

Later once with Barbatos he started going over his idea.

Barbatos : Diavolo he's too far gone it wouldn't work."

Diavolo : there has to be something....."

Barbatos. : ..... between life and death there's a space between where souls will be until they have decided or force to cross over.

Clinging to life is a simpler term.

If Lucifer is strong willed enough and definitely is stubborn. It would be time to revive him.

But it all depends if there's enough of his candle left to be relit and would take 6 full lives to revive his"

Diavolo : ........how many of us would it take?"

Barbatos: we would not be able to do it. In order to save him we would need to 6  full lives like I said but would result in the 6 dying. It's a ritual that has been forbidden to do"

Diavolo : I see .....so nothing can be done......"

As Diavolo was talking with Barbatos he glance over at the hall and saw Mephisto watching them.

And as Barbatos walked away Diavolo nodded at him before also walking away and dropping a key.

And Mephisto quickly got the key and left knowing what he could do to save Lucifer. And what Diavolo gave him permission to do.

Later in the middle of the night as everyone was asleep.

Mephisto returned covered in blood and looking a little shaken up but other than that fine.

And Diavolo quickly walked over handing him a towel and then walking away and Mephisto followed him.

Diavolo : what is done is done?"

Mephisto : yeah....."

Diavolo : are you alright?"

Mephisto : I'm fine this will save him?"

Diavolo : yes it will take a little time. So you can get cleaned up and we can cover this"

Mephisto : you planned this. Had everyone set up for me to do?"

Diavolo : yes I only mentioned that one part to Barbatos in case it was found out the blame would be on me"

Mephisto : why for me?"

Diavolo : because despite everything you and your brothers are my son's? And that means I'll do anything for you"

Mephisto : ......if he finds out?"

Diavolo : Lucifer doesn't need to know"

Mephisto : I need a break after all this"

Diavolo : if you want to take a trip to the human world you can. I heard it's lovely this time of year"

Mephisto: we just committed so many crimes one being mini mass muder?. And you are talking about vacation destinations?"

Diavolo : Hawaii is nice?"

Mephisto : .....maybe"

Lucifer would be fine and nobody would ever know of what was done.

When Lucifer wakes up they could finally just be happy together.

And everything would be fine this would never come back to haunt them.
