Acra and Axis were right next to us, catching their breath.

They're faces were red and they both looked like they were dying.I don't think they were used to running that fast, or running at all. Which made me wonder how they did all their Defendant work.

But then again, Acra could just shoot her blow-darts and her enemies would fall to the ground and have the world around them go blank. I knew from experience.

Speaking of Acra, when she managed to catch her breath, she stood up straight and stuffed her blow-dart tube into her little satchel.

"What was all that about?" Trivia accused them, crossing her arms.

"We thought that it was time we left that organization," Acra explained. "I mean, Veker is an.. Interesting person to work with, but-"

"He's a jerk," Axis cut her off.

With the mention of Veker, I looked back to the side we'd just escaped from. You know, the side with an angry Veker, and unconscious ex-Bosses and Leader-Person. Veker was narrowing his eyes and glaring at us. I glared back at him. And that's how our staring contest started: across the highway were the cars that weren't involved in an accident zoomed by.

My eyes were starting to get watery when I saw Veker blink.

"Hah! I won!" I shouted.

Everyone's attention turned to me. Trivia muttered something that sounded like, "Just ignore her." Their attention wasn't on me anymore.

"Should we say something to him?" I asked. "He looks like he's expecting something from us." I turned towards everyone. "I mean, why else would he be staring at us like that non-stop, giving weird eye-signals?"

"You can do whatever you want. I'm officially done," Pay replied, putting both his hands up.

"Just because you helped us back there doesn't mean we're all chummy," Trivia continued, pointing at the siblings. "I don't know what you want, or what you're planning, but-"

"We want to help you," Acra explained. "At least for the time being."

"Don't think it means we can trust you either," Axis pointed back. "Just because we want to help you doesn't mean we trust you."

"That doesn't make sense," Pay commented, raising an eyebrow at them.

"As long as we don't die, get trapped, or get any of the blow-darts that make us unconscious again, I'm good," I smiled at Acra and Axis.

"Oh, don't think I forgot, but you still owe me," Trivia reminded Pay.

"Owe you what?" Pay asked. "The bobby pin I broke in the cell?"

"Yes, that. It was my favorite one, you know."

"You have hundreds of them, don't you? Just use one of those," Pay waved his hands.

"I've never been insulted like that my entire life," Trivia yelled at Pay, who still seemed really calm.

"So, what are we going to do now?" I asked them. "Oooh! Are we going to go on vacation? If we do, I think we should go to Hawaii!"

"You're still criminals, according the the public and police, you know," Axis reminded us. "And you want to go to Hawaii, as what, public enemy number one? While being hunted down by two other organizations as well?"

"I mean, no one said anything about our next steps, so I assumed we were going on vacation," I said. When everyone was looking at me weirdly, I asked, "What? No one was specific."

"How about a plan?" Acra suggested. "Like, something to do in the meantime?"

"Like escaping?" Pay asked. "Running away before anyone wakes up and tracks us down?"

"Shhh, don't say the p-word!" I shushed Acra.

"What P-word?" Acra asked. "Oh- you mean plans?"

"Shhh," I reminded her. "P-L-A-N-S are boring and no fun. Even Arrow agrees!" I took out Arrow from my pocket to show them.

"No one cares about your fox, Target," Trivia rolled her eyes.

"Hey! That was verbal animal abuse," I countered.

"What the-"

"How about we move out of here, before the Crowns and Defendants decide to come back here?" Pay suggested. "Unless you guys want to be captured again, which is fine by me."

"I'm with him," Axis replied, jabbing his thumb towards Pay.

With that, we all found ourselves walking into a new city.
