Jia POV

ONE WEEK! It’s been one week since I saw Viktor. He has just vanished in thin air.

After our pizza date, I was so happy. When I got up next day, I was elated but then I realised, he was not in the room. I thought he left for work early. The whole day I waited to hear from him, he didn't come back at night too.
Next day there was still no sign of him. I went and asked few people around about him, no one was aware of his whereabouts. I called him but his mobile was switched off.

"Don't worry Jia, he will come back" Michelle consoled me during our lunch break in school.

"But he could have informed me at least, that he had to go somewhere. Did he leave me Misch? Is he never coming back?” I asked with tears in my eyes.

"Don't be stupid. He must be busy, you know he has so many responsibilities." She tried to comfort me.

"Ya I know, but one small message won't harm him. I am so worried"

"Why don't you go to his office behind Gym" she suggested.

"I did, it was locked. I asked Kiara too. Still no answers."

"Then there is just one last hope, talk to Alpha" she said. I was shocked,

"how can I go and ask him. Like...
Alpha do you know where my mate is? It seems I have lost him somewhere" I said irritated.

"No but you can ask him, where his head Warrior is?" She reasoned.

I knew, she was right. But approaching Luna will not be that difficult. I hope so.

Next day I gathered all my strength and went to Luna while she was having her breakfast.

"Good morning Luna" I said bowing to her.

"Good morning" she said with smile and looked at me with frown. She didn't know me. What was I expecting?

"I...I am Jia... Jia Davis... Vikt..." I tried to say Viktor's mate but she recognised me. Thank goddess for that.

"JIA! oh my" She came and hugged me.

"I so wanted to meet you. I am so happy for both of you, congratulations. Finally Viktor found you." She said excitedly, breaking the hug and holding me at arm’s length.

"Thanks Luna" I mumbled.

"Tell me how are you doing?" She asked.

"I...I wanted to...talk to you about something" I told her.

"Ya tell me Jia" she said with concern.

"I...I actually Viktor is not there
anywhere..and.. I mean... I just don't know...where he is... Umm..It’s been more than 4 days...and I was getting worried..."

"Oh! No, not again" she said, shaking her head.

She took my hand and started walking upstairs. Does she know where Viktor is? Is she taking me to him? But he is not in the pack house right?. I can't smell him anywhere.

And what is this with everyone, dragging me along taking my hand, as if I am a child.

To my utter horror, she brought me in front of Alpha's office. She knocked on the door and peeped inside.

"Ah! Come in my love" I heard Alpha's voice. Luna went inside and I just stood there hesitating. She came out with her hands on her hips looking at me. She again took my hand and dragged me inside.

I had never been in Alpha's office. It was so luxurious and comfy. A large wooden desk took the centre of the space and a leather couch on the left hand side. A small coffee table and two chairs rested near the large window overlooking the pack's garden. One wall was lined with books. It was amazing.

"Look who is here to meet you" Luna told Alpha, who looked at me confused. He was sitting behind his desk, working on some papers, looking full of power and authority.

"Good morning Alpha" I bowed to him. He looked at Luna for help, clearly he didn't recognise me.

"It's Jia, Martha's daughter and Viktor's mate" Luna said smiling.

"Jia! Wow you have grown so much, how are you doing?" He asked.

"I am fine thank you Alpha" I replied.

"She wants to ask you something, Jason" Luna said.

"Yes Jia what is it?" He asked but I was not able to say anything. He looked at Luna and again at me. He stood up, walking in front of his desk and stood leaning on it. He was wearing dark blue jeans and plain grey T shirt

"Where is Viktor?, where have you send him? Why was she not informed? Poor girl is worried like hell" Luna bombarded him with questions looking at him intently.
Alpha was now in attendance, he was not expecting this, maybe.

"Viktor has gone... somewhere...but he will be back soon. You don't worry Jia, he can take care of himself. He is the best warrior we have you know. Nothing will happen to him, trust me" he assured me

"He could have just informed her" Luna said frustrated.

"Well, that was his decision." He said with authority and went back to his work.

I bowed to both of them with thank you and started towards the door.

"Jia, just let him be back, we both will bash him up for doing this to you" Luna said. I smiled at her and left. I was so hurt and devastated. How could he do this to me?

So he went somewhere, and didn't feel like telling me. And all I could do, is to wait. How long? No idea.
After my Sunday training with Kiara, I went to meet Ruby. I wanted to go away from my world. Where I could pretend to be human and be normal. Sure, Ruby pestered me about Viktor, I just told her that we are dating.
We were watching a movie at her place when I received a message from Michelle.

'He is back, come fast' - Michelle
