Ronny pulled his hands over his sweaters sleeves, the sweater a bit baggy on him which was just the way he liked it. He shivered against the biting wind, nipping coldly at his skin that was under the thin fabric he wore. He was leaning against the fence by the school, waiting for the bus to arrive so he could finally head home. He closed his eyes and listened to the music that was blasting in his ears. The music was a safe place for him, it drowned out everything around him and made him feel at peace with himself and everything going on - then it was right back to all the bad feelings once the music was off, a reminder the music was only temporary for him to ignore everything.

Ronny, unaware of Poppy right in front of him, jumped at the feeling of cold fingers digging into his sides. Poppy smiled up at him, looking as warm and beautiful as the sun. "How are you today on this beautiful afternoon?" She asked and he then noticed the happiness that was vibrant in her eyes. She picked up some dying leaves off the ground and tossed some to him.

Watching her now, he realized how utterly beautiful she truly was. For some reason, he felt a pang in his chest at the thought. "I'm alright," said Ronny and turned off his music to talk to her, watching the leaves she threw fall to the ground.

That stopped her in her tracks, her turning herself to him completely and her dark eyes met his. "What's up?" He appreciated that she knew him well enough to notice the hidden emotions in his tone of voice, but at the same time didn't like that. He didn't like it because it made him feel vulnerable and, although he opened up to her about a lot, he was scared of it.

Ronny shook his head at that, not wanting to talk about his feelings all the time. He was getting exhausted with trying to explain himself and sometimes he felt like he was just this huge burden.

On everyone. And everything.

She stepped closer and looked at him. "Talk to me."  She slowly put her hand on his arm, and he felt warm inside at the small gesture. "I'm here for you."

Ronny forced the smile on his face, looking away a moment. "I'm alright, seriously, Poppy." She frowned a bit, and he felt a pang in his chest. Seeing her like that hurt him. He didn't want her to be upset, especially not because of him. Especially since she looked so happy moments ago.

He watched as her thoughts swam in her head, an endless tsunami of endless thoughts that roamed every inch of her beautiful mind. "Are you sure?" She asked, concerned and he could see the vibrancy of her happiness fading a bit.

All because of him. And for that, he hated himself even more.

He was not sure about anything anymore. He wasn't sure about his future and what he was going to do with himself, he wasn't sure how he always felt and what he truly felt, he wasn't sure how he was supposed to figure himself out in ways that are too complex for him to do so.

He was only sure of one thing. And that was how much he cared for Poppy, the beautiful and emotional girl that stood in front of him now - and stood with him for all of his wild and raw emotions, she stood with him through all the times he broke down in front of her, and she always seemed to help him back up. As he watched her watching him, he realized how much he truly cared for this girl and how much she meant to him.

Ronny cleared his throat, washing away the thoughts surfacing into his mind. "Yeah, I'm sure. Just tired, that's all."

Poppy didn't seem to fully believe it, with one eyebrow raised and her pink lips pursed. But she didn't say anything about it. He thanked her for that. Poppy didn't seem to worried after that, and somehow distracted him from all problems circling and enveloping his thoughts. He even made her laugh, with her corny jokes and goofy acting.

Even though a few minutes ago, Ronny wasn't feeling the best, by the time his bus arrived he felt a lot better because of Poppy.
