Naira went to her room and opened her wardrobe to decide what to wear. She picked out two dresses.

"Which one should I wear?" She said herself.

"The blue one will look the best!" She heard Kartik and turned around.

"Kartik? Tum kab aaye?" Naira asked

"Just now! Where are you going?" He asked and Naira's smile faded as he asked.

"For dinner with Rishabh." She said softly, and turned back, but Kartik wasn't there.

"Why am I still not happy? What is even happening with me!" Naira said frustratingly and went down to the kitchen.

"Naira are you ready? You are going for dinner right?" Akshara asked

"I will get ready after some time. Can I help you?"

"It's okay Naira, I will do it, don't worry!" She replied

"I just want to divert my mind, please?" She insisted

"Is everything fine Naira? You sound off? Aren't you happy?" Akshara asked.

"No mamma, I am happy, I am fine, don't worry!" Naira replied

Akshara smiled, and went out. Naira was cutting some fruits. While she was doing it, she kept thinking about Kartik.

Till then she felt someone held her hand, to stop her, and she looked back.

"Kartik?" She said

"Naira, what were you even thinking? How can you be so careless? If you would have got a cut....?"

"If something would have happened to you?" Kartik continued

"I am fine Kartik!" She turned away

"No you are not! Naira, I love you so much, and I can't see you hurt!" Kartik said.

"Naira, Rishabh came! You're not ready till now?" Devyani entered and said bringing Naira our of her thoughts.

"Huh? Yeah I am going choti daadi!" She said and went to her room.

"Kartik?" Suvarna entered

"Ji maa?"

"You're going somewhere? If yes, then can you drop us to Singhania Sadan? There is so much work left, and it's Naira's marriage afterall!" Suvarna said.

"Maa, I have an important meeting, I will tell Shubham to drop you all there. Sorry maa!" Kartik said and walked to go out.

"Kartik?" Suvarna called and he turned back.

"You're not happy with all that is happening? It's your best friend's marriage, and you are not excited at all? Yesterday also you didn't want to come, today also. What happened Kartik?" Suvarna asked

"No maa, I am absolutely fine! It's just that I have been really busy with work. And maa, I have a meeting in delhi in 3 days, so I have to go there!" Kartik said

Kartik was feeling so jealous looking at Naira with him. And on the other hand, Naira was feeling bad for what she had done earlier.

"Why did you do this to me Naira? I really love you so much, and this is what I got in return. If you had to say no, then why didn't you show so much care and love towards me? Why does it affect you so much, when I am hurt? Why does it affect you to see me in pain? And the love that I saw in your eyes? Was that wrong? Was I wrong? My love was wrong?" Kartik thought.

"I don't know why I can't stop thinking about you Kartik! I always cared for you, and always will. I have never been this close to someone like I am with you. I don't know what is this feeling? Do I really love you, or..." She thought.

"Naira, I will just come back!" Rishabh said bringing her out of her thoughts.

"Yeah sure!" She replied.

Kartik got up and went out, as he didn't want to sit there any longer. He passed from behind Naira, and Naira tried to stop him, but he walked away.

When he came out, he heard Rishabh talking on his phone.

"Just 2 more days, and we will get what we wanted. Talking about Naira, she is too innocent, but she doesn't know who I am, and why I am even getting married to her! It's nothing more than her money and property!"He said laughing.

Kartik's was really furious by then. He clenched his hands into a fist and walked towards him, but stopped when his phone rang.

"Haa Gayu?" He said.

"Kartik, I want to talk about something very important! Kartik, I really think Rishabh is not the right person. I don't know why but I feel like he is just using Naira for money or something! Please find out Kartik, we can't let her life get ruined like this!" Gayu said.

"I know Gayu, I will see to it! I just heard him speak on his phone and I am pretty sure it's a girl! I think he has a girlfriend." Kartik said.

"We need to find about it Kartik! Please do something!" Gayu replied.
