"Heroin!" Aurora shouts, tackling the surprised boy to the kitchen floor. "
"Aurora!" He mocks, groaning as he sits up.
Aurora glances around the room suspiciously before dragging him to hide behind the island with her.
"Jonah doesn't know I'm in the kitchen," she whispers. "And I'm on a very important mission."
"I'm pretty sure yelling gave away our location."
"Then we don't have much time," she continues, not deterred in the slightest. "I need you to go wake Caramel up and convince her to convince Jonah to take-"
Aurora shrieks, unable to finish her sentence as someone wraps their arms around her waist and pulls her into a standing position. Turning around, she comes face to face with who she was hoping to avoid.
"Carmen needs to convince me to do what?" Jonah questions, raising an eyebrow.
"You know I love you, right?" Aurora counters, smiling as innocently as she can manage - which was genuinely convincing, if you didn't know the girl.
"Yes, and I love you too. But you're avoiding the question," he says. "Where is it that you're wanting to go?"
Aurora squirms, attempting to escape but Jonah's arms only tighten around her waist. She was tempted to go into full attack-mode but decides against it, instead opting to let him believe he had actually won.
"Fine," she huffs, accepting defeat. "I want to go to Walmart."
Jonah can't help but to laugh. "And why did Carmen have to ask instead of you?"
"Because after I got us banned from IKEA, you would have said no."
"THAT'S A LIE!" Daniel interrupts, dropping his banana in the midst of his shouting. "Jonah would never tell you no! He doesn't know how. You've got him wrapped around your finger."
"It's true," Corbyn adds, nodding along.
Jonah blushes, burrowing his head into Aurora's neck as the others continue to call him out.
"So, can we go to Walmart?"

"Is there an actual purpose to this spur of the moment Walmart trip?" Carmen asks, leaning forward to be heard from the back seat of Jonah's car.
"Yes," Aurora replies seriously, nodding her head. "We are dangerously low on gummies."
"They're extremely important to human survival," Jonah adds.
Jonah pulls into the parking lot, with Callie and Jack not too far behind in her Jeep. Climbing out of the Corvette, Aurora hisses at the blinding sunlight that hits her face.
Snatching Jonah's sunglasses from him as he attempts to put them on, she slides them on with a victorious smirk.
"I look fantabulous."
"Beautiful," Carmen agrees, shutting the car door. "PIGGY BACK RIDE!"
She jumps on Jonah's back, which surprises him. Zach is bewildered, glancing around as he had braced himself and was prepared for her.
"I want one too!" Aurora yells, jumping onto Zach's back as Callie does the same to Jack. "Onward, my noble steed!"
Zach begrudgingly complies, beginning the short walk to the entrance with the others on both sides.
"We're going to need three buggies," Aurora declares, jumping off of the younger boy's back as she examines the rows of shopping carts.
Choosing one, she promptly jumps into the back of it.
"Is there anything specific that we're looking for in here?" Callie asks.
"Nope. The plan is to divide and conquer," Aurora explains. "Caramel and Jonah will go one way. You and Jack will go another. Heroin and I will go get food."
Everyone looks at her, seemingly confused.
"When did we agree on this?" Jonah asks.
"Just now." She shrugs. "Let's go, Heroin. Chop chop."
Aurora waves goodbye to the others as Zach pushes the shopping cart away. Carmen waves in return before turning to the shopping cart that ahs a little car attached to the front of it.
"Don't give me that look," she chastises the younger boy, whose lower lip was jutted out. "You're not allowed to pout during this trip. I forbid it."
"I wasn't pouting," he defends himself indignantly. "I was simply lost in thought."
"Thinking about Caramel." Aurora smirks as a blush spreads across his cheeks. "How are things with you two, anyways?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean have you asked her out yet? Have you said you know what?" Aurora questions with an eyeroll, as though it was obvious. "Have you even kissed her yet?"
"Well, no." Zach rubs the back of his neck nervously. "I don't want to scare her off."
Aurora scoffs, flicking her ponytail holder at his chest.
"Hey! What was that for?"
"For being stupid!" She retorts. "The girl has seen what you look like in the morning, nothing can scare her away at this point."
"Not all of us move our relationships as fast as yours and Jonah's."
"How do you know Jonah and I have said 'I love you'?"
"Are you kidding?" Zach snorts. "He dragged all of us to a flower shop just so we could stare at five identical bouquets of white roses for an hour before he chose one. And then he freaked out over how to say it for another hour."
Aurora smiles, picturing an anxious Jonah.
"Really?"
"Really. Now, let's go stock up on gummies."
××××
"Zach," Jonah begins, staring at the overflowing shopping cart. "I thought I put you in charge of at least attempting to control Aurora's habits?"
"Don't worry." Aurora smiles. "He encouraged it."
Jonah sighs. Zach, however, wasn't listening to the conversation. Instead, his attention was fixed on Carmen who was still sitting in the shopping cart, sipping her frappuccino that Jonah had so generously bought for her.
She smiled at him but her eyes were swayed as Aurora gasped.
"Who's is that?" She questions, running over to the giant teddy bear sitting next to the cart.
"It's yours. Jonah picked it out," Carmen says, winking at him.
"Thank you!" She squeals, jumping up to hug him.
He sends Carmen a thankful smile. "It's no problem. Now, let's go pay for all of this."
Aurora hops into the front seat of a cart. Due to the fact that it's meant for toddlers, her long legs dangle over the side. Jonah laughs, pushing her towards a check out lane.
"Do you think you have enough gummies?" The man at the register asks sarcastically.
"Absolutely not," Aurora tells him. "We would've gotten more but the supply ran out."
The bored man barely cracks a smile. "Your total is $452.78."
The six of them reach for their wallets, all prepared to pull out their credit cards. Jonah, Zach, and Jack all wave away the girls' offers to pay, taking care of it themselves.
Carmen jumps from the shopping cart, linking her good arm with Aurora's as they leave the boys to carry the many bags.
"Let's wait on the boys outside," Aurora suggests, tugging Carmen out of the automatic doors.
Small barks are heard as soon as they step outside, capturing both of their attention. Carmen and Aurora immediately rush over to the box full of puppies that sits in front of a smiling woman.
"Look, Caramel!" Aurora squeals. "They're so cute!"
"You can have one, if you want," the woman offers. "They're free."
"Jonah!" Aurora yells, waving the group over as they walk outside. "Can we get a puppy?"
"Of course," he answers instantly, kneeling down beside her as Zach gives Carmen the same answer. "Which one do you want?"
"Are you serious?"
"I'm dead Sirius," he smirks. "Pick one out."
Aurora examines the puppies carefully, giggling as they scramble over each other. One puppy is so excited, he trips over his own paws.
"I want that one," Aurora decides, lifting the solid black puppy out of the box and glancing back up at the lady. "Are you sure you don't want any money for him?"
"I'm positive." She waves the offer away. "He's all yours."
"I want this one," Carmen decides, picking up a solid brown puppy.
"What are you naming yours?" Jonah asks.
"Snuffles."
