Walking next to Carmen, Aurora shivers as a cool breeze blows. Goosebumps cover both girls' arms, and while Carmen doesn't say anything about it, she instantly complains, asking for Jonah's hoodie. Chuckling, he hands it over without protest.

"Wow," Carmen gasps, examining the house in the dim evening light. "You guys live here?"

"Yep," Zach replies, jumping back a little as Aurora throws her bags into Carmen's arms and slams grandly through the door.

"Your lives just got better!" Aurora yells, her arms outstretched as she looks at Jack, Corbyn, Daniel, and an unknown girl.

"Thanks, Aurora," Carmen says, stepping into the house behind her.

"No problem," Aurora grins.

With a scowl, Carmen drops the bags onto the floor with a thump.

"Sorry," she apologizes with an innocent smile. "They slipped."

The girl moves quickly to help Carmen pick them up but Zach beats her to it. He slips to Carmen's side instantly, picking up over half the bags and shooting her a boyish grin. She rolls her eyes in return, failing to hold back her own smile.

"Callie," Jack says, wrapping his arm around the girl's shoulders. "Meet Aurora and Carmen."

"Hello!" Callie grins widely, waving at Carmen and Aurora.

"Hi," Carmen waves back. "It's nice to-"

"So you're Callie!" Aurora interrupts excitedly. "Jonah says that Jack always talks about you! I think we were talking about it once when he came into my apartment to raid my fridge-"

"It was your house?" Callie questions.

"Yup! Why? Did he say anything about it?"

"Yeah," Callie smirks, glancing at Jack. "He was wondering whether he should use a pizza for a shield or a peace offering after eating your Cheez-its."

Aurora and Callie break into laughter, seeing as Jack's face grows red in embarrassment.

"Stop laughing," he mutters. "It isn't funny."

He sinks down on the couch, immediately dragging Callie over to sit in his lap. He buries his red face into her shoulder, causing Callie's eyes to widen. She blushes heavily as Aurora winks at her.

"Okay." Jonah ckaos his hands together. "Aurora is planning on spending the night."

"Oh, cool," Callie says. "Do you guys think it would be cool if I spent the night too?"

"Yes!" Aurora fist pumps. "GIRL'S NIGHT!"

"I don't see why you can't spend the night." Zach shrugs his shoulders, looking over at Carmen. "You can stay too, if you want, Carmen."

"Are you trying to sweeten me up?" Carmen teases, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Maybe," Zach winks, not taking his eyes off of her. "Is it working?"

"Okay, I'm spending the night," Callie states before Carmen can answer. "But we have a problem."

"What's that?" Jack asks.

"What am I going to wear for pyjamas?"

"You can just wear some of my clothes," Jack offers casually, causing Callie's cheeks to heat up.

"O-okay," she stutters quietly.

"Come on, I'll take you to my room."

"Mr. Avery!" Callie's gasps as he stands up. "I don't do that until after the first date!"

"I like her!" Aurora decides gleefully.

Carmen's phone vibrates, distracting everyone as she drops Aurora's bags to check it.

"Hey guys, we have a problem," she says, staring down at a text. "I can't stay the night. My mom wants me home."

"Oh," Zach mutters, his face falling. "It's okay, I can drive you home if you want."

Carmen nods lightly, visually saddened as she sets down the remainder of Aurora's bags.

"Wait, you can drive?" Aurora questions.

"I have my license," Zach confirms with a stiff nod, holding the front door open for Carmen.

"I'm sorry you can't stay the night, Caramel! I'll miss you!" Aurora hugs her new friend tightly, before letting go as she pulls Frederick from the top of one of her bags. "Frederick will miss you too."

"Don't forget about Zach," Corbyn mutters, earning a glare from Aurora.

"I'll miss you too, Aurora," Carmen smiles, waving to the others. "Bye, guys."

It's silent for only a few moments as the door shuts behind the two, but Aurora quickly breaks it as she jumps onto Jonah's back.

"I'M BORED!"

He merely chuckles as everyone else winces.

"Come on, Aurora," he suggests, taking her hand in his as she slides back down and picks up several of her bags in his other hand. "Let's get you some pyjamas."

"Wait! I don't want them on just yet," she states stubbornly, turning back to face Callie with an innocent smile and mischievous glint in her eyes. "Want to hear Frederick talk?"

"Sure."

Aurora presses the button in Frederick's paw, laughing maniacally as a pterodactyl screech erupts from him and causes Callie to jump back.

"GOTCHA, BITCH!"

Getting another idea, Aurora snatches her bags from Jonah and sprints up the stairs.

"What are you doing?" Jonah questions, furrowing his eyebrows together.

"You'll see!"

It doesn't take long for Aurora to find everything she needs in Jonah's bedroom. Examining herself in the mirror, she can't help but to grin.

Dressed in fuzzy socks, Jonah's boxers, and a white button up shirt that's way too big on her, she pushes a pair of sunglasses onto her face before sliding back into the hallway.

Making it downstairs undetected, she quickly connects her phone to the speakers Daniel keeps set up in the den. The song she had pulled up begins to blast all throughout the house, effectively startling the others.

Sliding into the kitchen where Callie and the remaining boys sit, she pushes the glasses down her nose dramatically.

"So take them old records off the shelf. I'll sit and listen to them by myself."

The group bursts into laughter, Corbyn nearly falling from his seat as he does so.

Jonah grabs a nearly empty water bottle off of the island, using it as a microphone as he joins her.

"Today's music ain't got the same soul. I like that old type of rock and roll."

The duo spins through the kitchen, unsure as to who was serenading who at that point as Jonah spins and dips Aurora numerous times. The song ends with another dramatic spin, Jonah pulling her back to his chest as the final notes fade out.

The brunette looks up at the boy, completely out of breath, and fights the urge to close the gap between them.

"Not too bad, Marais."

Jonah grins, pressing his forehead to hers and leaning ever so closer. Aurora closes her eyes, tilting her chin up.

At that exact moment, the front door slams shut, causing the two to jump apart.

"ZACH IS BACK!" She shouts after an awkwardly silent second, running to the living room. But, seeing as she wasn't paying attention, she trips over a chair and faceplants onto the floor with a bang. She groans before looking up at Zach with a glare. "Why didn't you catch me? You always catch Caramel! Piece of shit."

She pushes herself off of the floor, wrapping her hair into a messy bun and sitting on the couch across from Zach. Jonah stumbles into the room, crouched over in hysterics as he points at Aurora.

"Fuck off," she glares, before glancing back at Zach. "Are you okay, Heroin?"

"Yeah," he mumbles, ignoring the nickname. "I'm fine."

"No you aren't," she states. "You miss Caramel, don't you?"

She gets no response from the boy, causing another idea to pop into her mind.

"We should kidnap her!" Aurora announces, standing up from her spot. "Come on Zach. Be happy, we're going to get your girlfriend back!"

"I don't think she likes me," he mumbles, not moving.

"You're almost as oblivious as she is," Aurora rolls her eyes, tugging Jonah to her side. "Don't you agree, Marais?"

"I think she likes you," Jonah adds.

"EXACTLY!" Aurora shouts triumphantly, pulling Zach off of the couch. "I know you're depressed, and while I'm here, there will be no depression!"

"Yeah," Callie agrees. "Come on, Romeo, we're going to get your Juliet back!"

"CARAMEL!" Aurora screeches, now dressed in pyjamas and tackling the girl to the ground. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too," she chuckles, glancing at Zach.

"Oh my, I like your pyjamas," Aurora says, pulling back to examine her outfit. "I'm sure Zach does too. Right, Heroine?"

Zach simply sighs, taking off his hoodie and giving it to Carmen to cover up her tank top and shorts.

"Jealous much?" Aurora accuses before directing her attention to the girls. "Now, this is where the real fun begins."
