"Are you ready for today?" Aurora questions, sliding into the passenger side of the red Corvette.

"As ready as I'll ever be," Jonah shoots her a nervous smile. "So, where do they live?"

Aurora gestures to Mark's car pulling out of the driveway in front of them. "Just follow Mark."

Jonah nods, following her directions. A comfortable silence fills the car, the duo each preoccupied with their own thoughts.

After Mark announced yesterday that he was taking Elle to meet their parents, Aurora immediately invited Jonah to meet them too.

With things between the two moving so quickly, she wanted to have their approval before moving any further. Jonah, to her surprise, had happily agreed to the proposal.

"Is there anything I need to know about your parents before we get there?" Jonah asks, taking her hand in his.

"Yeah, about that-" she admits slowly, squeezing his hand in return as she bites her lower lip. "You're gonna see that I look nothing like Mom or Dad because, technically speaking, they're not biologically my parents. They're Mark's."

"Oh."

Jonah was at a loss at how to respond to to her confession, leaving the girl to frown. She desperately wracked her mind for a way to change the subject to something lighter.

"But, Mark does have a little brother around Zach's age!" Aurora continues brightly. "His name is Jellybean!"

He smiles, briefly glancing over at her before directing his attention back to the road. "And what is Jellybean's real name?"

Aurora frowns, looking around as though that would help her to remember.

"I don't remember," she finally says. "I kind of forgot Jellybean isn't actually his name."

Jonah laughs, pulling into a driveway directly behind Mark's car. Jumping out, he quickly rushes over to Aurora's side to open her door for her. The brunette can't help but to smile, watching as Mark does the same thing for Elle.

Dragging Jonah past the happy couple, she throws open the front door - promptly causing a child to hit the floor as the door slams into his face. In unison, the two lean around to see who she had accidentally knocked over.

Laying on the floor is a teen boy, younger than both of them, that Aurora has never seen before. Mark and Elle appear next to them, taking in the crime scene as well.

"Damn, Aurora," Elle chuckles. "We've been here for five seconds and you've already killed someone."

"Fuck off," Aurora mutters, looking around the otherwise vacant room. "JELLYBEAN! I THINK I KILLED YOUR FRIEND!"

In a matter of seconds, a slightly smaller version of Mark comes running down the hallway. Brushing past his brother, he nearly tackles Aurora to the floor in a hug, squeezing her waist tightly.

"Oh, I see who the favorite is," Mark pouts. "It's good to see you too, James."

"JAMES!" Aurora shrieks, shaking Jonah's arm excitedly. "His real name is James!"

Finally pulling himself off of the ground, the new kid holds a hand over his nose and looks around at the group.

"Two questions," he begins, holding up two fingers. "Who are these people? And why did the loud one call you a jellybean?"

"Aww. Did you hear that, Jonah?" Aurora coos, nudging his side. "He called me loud."

Jonah smiles, wrapping an arm around her waist as James introduces everyone.

"That's my sister, Aurora, and her boyfriend, Jonah. And that's my brother, Mark, and his girlfriend, Elle," James explains, pointing to each individual in turn. "Guys, this is my friend, Harry."

Harry, slowly letting go of his swollen nose, waves.

"Nice to meet you, Potter," Aurora teases, poking his forehead. "Where's your scar?"

"You never told me she was crazy," he mutters to James, swatting her hand away.

"How da-"

Aurora's remark is cut off as an older couple appears in the hallway, both wearing broad grins.

"It's about time you two visited!"

Only an hour later and after being fed quite the feast, Aurora and Elle lay in recliners in the living room, both napping peacefully.

In the kitchen, Mark and Jonah help Mark's parents, John and Melinda, to clean up the mess the meal had made.

"So, Jonah," John clears his throat, fixing the boy with a harsh stare. "Have you been taking care of our daughter?"

"He's doing great," Mark chimes in, dropping a load of dirty dishes into the sink and causing bubbles to fly everywhere. "He stuck around even after Aurora got him banned from the zoo."

John can't help but to chuckle - having expected nothing less from the girl - and effectively ruins the serious facade he had on.

"And do you have any plans to hurt or use her in any way?"

"No, sir," Jonah answers immediately. "I-"

"Couldn't even hurt a fly," Mark once again interrupts, throwing an arm around his shoulders. "He has my seal of approval."

"Not very many guys are okay with how close Aurora and Mark are," Melinda comments, wiping down the counters. "How do you feel about it?"

Why wouldn't I be okay with it?" Jonah asks, furrowing his eyebrows together. "He means a great deal to her and makes her happy. And all I want is for her to be happy."

"They've always been close," John adds, pleased with Jonah's response. "Especially after what happened with her actual parents. I don't think her and Mark have spent more than a day away from each other since then.

"What happened with her parents?" Jonah immediately questions, wanting to learn all he could about his girlfriend. "If you don't mind me asking."

There's a pause as John glances around the kitchen, silently asking for confirmation from Mark and Melinda before continuing.

"Aurora's parents kicked her out when she was sixteen - you'll have to ask her about it, because it's not my place to say why. But anyways, we took her in," John begins, a frown overtaking his features. "Mark is always the first person she goes to, for anything and everything. She'd die without him."

"But it's a good thing I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," Mark jokes, lightening the mood.

Jonah nods along, processing the information. He so badly wanted to ask why her biological parents kicked her out but knew he had to respect her privacy. She would tell him when she was ready and he could wait.

In a matter of seconds, he finds himself engulfed in a hug.

"Welcome to the family."

"That was fun," Jonah comments, backing out of the driveway.

Aurora nods sleepily, yawning widely and resting her head against the window.

The four had stayed at the house long after night had fallen, leaving them all rather sleepy. Many hugs and promises to visit later, they were finally leaving.

A comfortable silence falls over the car, much like it had earlier that morning, leaving both lost in their own thoughts.

The second Aurora had woken up from her nap, her dad had sat down in front of her, excitedly informing her that both, Jonah and Elle, were welcomed to the family. It left her with many mixed emotions, none of which she could properly address.

Jonah, on the other hand, couldn't be happier with how the day went. He found himself falling even more in love with her, something he hadn't thought was possible. At every red light or stop sign, he open stared at the sleepy girl, admiring her against the halo of city lights.

"Hey, Jonah."

"Yeah?"

"I think I love you."

Aurora was wide awake as soon as the sentence left her lips, her heart pounding anxiously as Jonah's eyes widen.

"I hope you know you don't have to say it just because I said it," he instantly reassures her, taking her hand in his. "I promise you I can wait if you're not comfortable with saying it."

"I wanted to tell you as soon as you said it," she admits, suddenly deciding to let everything pour out. "It's just- it's just I don't know. I really do think I love you, because I've never felt like this towards someone before. But that's also the problem, I've never felt like this before so I have no basis for what love is. You're the first person to stay around this long and have good intentions.

This is different than all of my past relationships. I can actually see myself spending the rest of my life with you, and I don't want to be with anyone else. And that's what love is, isn't it? So I'm not just saying it because you said it, I'm saying it because I think I love you, Jonah."

The car comes to a stop in front of the Why Don't We house, and instead of climbing out of the car, Jonah leans over and crashes his lips onto Aurora's.
