Demon Apocalypse
Cɪɴᴅʏ #2
"And for today's weather forecast for Salina Kansas is gonna be pretty wonky. For the first few hours from 8 to 11am it'll be a little chilly but the skies will stay clear, onto noon through 2pm, The wind currents should start to change bringing in some rain and even storms for some parts."
Charx tapped their finger on the remote that controlled the green screen they were using to navigate through the screens. "And From 3 to noon tomorrow we should see nothing but Thunder and Rainstorms-"
"Charx!!"
Charx's eyes widened, looking away from the screen and faced their eyes to the sound of the voice. "Cee..? What're you doing here, we're on air."
"We gotta go!" Cindy called back to Charx. "Go?! I can't just leave work Cindy!"
"Charx, I'm telling you right now we have to go!" Cindy grabbed Charx by their arm and pulled them out of camera view. "Cee don't you think you should explain what's going on?!"
"Later, I promise! Right now I just have to get you somewhere safe!"
Just as Cindy said that, the lights shut off all at once and a menacing laugh was heard throughout the studio, followed by a growl. "Fuck! They got here before I did!"
"C. H. A. R. X."
Glowing red eyes started to form around the room. "C. H. A. R. X." They chanted again, the eyes dilating. Charx could feel a smirk creep onto their face. "Well looks like you have to explain it to me while we kill these assholes." Charx said.
"Charx, that's not-"
"Name a battle we ever lost when we were in it together?"
Cindy looked at Charx and sighed. "Here. You might need this."
Cindy handed Charx a metal stick. Charx pressed a button and it extended into a scythe, their weapon of choice. "Ah hell yeah, fucking with Isaac foster?! Never works well for his victims! Run while you still can~"
The beings shrieked and threw themselves at the two, making Charx swing the scythe threw their fingers, twisting in circles whiles Cindy started to pull out A Uzi and a Glock in her hands and stepped back.
Charx swung their body, flying in the air and swinging the scythe across the air and decapitating a few of the entities. Cindy was only using the Glock at the moment, headshoting every entity that dared get close to her best friend. Charx started laughing menacingly, cutting one in half vertically, another one horizontally, Cindy still being their offense.
One grabbed at Cindy, Causing her to shoot the Uzi. The Entity shrieked and she shot at it again. "Charx! My earpiece, press the blue button!"
"With pleasure." Innocently said Charx. "Here hold this for a sec!" They said before plunging the scythe into another entity and pressing the button on Cindy's ear piece. "Thanks!" They said removing the scythe and swinging at another entity.
The two heard a growl through the building again, and more red eyes came. "What the fuck...?!" Cindy said, the two were still attacking. "Charx! We can't fight this many we're only two people with 3 Weapons! Abort!"
"We can do this...! I know we can!"
"Charx We're not inhuman. THEY are! Every one we kill just gets sent back to hell! If we stay we both die!"
Charx's face filled with realization and then they smiled. "You're right." They said, swinging one of the entities into the window in the studio. "Which is why," they swung their scythe at another entity. "You're going home."
"Wha-"
Charx pushed Cindy through the window. "They want me!" Charx called. "I'll be okay, I promise!"
"CHARX WHY WOULD YOU-"
The girl collided into water, her lungs filling with it. Her first instinct was of course to swim, and when she reached land she hacked up the water. She wanted to run up and get her best friend again, but then a car came, and her sister exited. "I got your signal!"
"Charx...up...Need...Get...Them." She panted. "I can't." Sam said. "Get in the car."
Cindy felt the tears roll down her face but didn't refuse. She knew getting back to Charx was impossible but she didn't want that to be true. So she cried, but didn't fuss and got in the car. "I'm sorry, Cindy I really am..." Sam said. She put the car in drive and pulled off.
A thud was heard on the top of the car, making Cindy pull out her gun and had her finger one the trigger to fire but then heard "Open the roof!"
...
Charx?
Cindy opened the roof of the car and down came Charx, laughing their ass off as they put their scythe down after pushing it back into the tiny stick it was when it was handed to them.
"Told you I'd be alright."
Cindy's tears got heavier, hugging Charx. But then they heard a gun cock. "When did we meet...?" She asked Charx, And Charx laughed. "Depends on what you mean. On the Internet or in person?"
A few seconds later, Charx heard the gun fall to the floor of the car. "Don't scare me like that again...!" Cindy cried. "Alright Alright. I'm sorry, Cee. It won't happen again."
