silent screams ending
i love dance academy with all of my heart. this show brought so much awareness to me when i was younger, and sammy's fate broke my heart like no other. for this fic, i planned:
• olivia and christian would keep insisting they're just 'friends'
• when aaron comes back to stay at the academy for the night, he and olivia get into a fight
• aaron accuses christian of getting too close with his ex-girlfriend
• after aaron leaves, christian keeps some distance away from olivia
• this is when tara comes into the picture
• when tara cheats on ethan with christian, olivia takes kat's side in the argument
• ethan finds comfort in olivia and they start dating
• christian is uncomfortable whenever he sees them together and tara starts to notice
• she confronts him about it but christian denies everything
• when christian's court date approaches and aaron does nothing to help, olivia tries to support him as best as she can
• this causes distance between her and ethan
• they eventually call things off when ethan realizes she can't keep herself away from christian
• despite olivia supporting christian throughout his court hearing, they decide it would be better for them and their friend group if they stay friends
• things change when christian stays with olivia and her family over break
• they come back for second year as a couple
• tara tries to conceal her jealousy as best as she can
• kat tells olivia of tara's deep-rooted feelings for christian and olivia tries to confront tara
• tara denies it, and says she'll get over what she's feeling
• olivia begins worrying so much about the situation that she loses focus from her dancing
• she confides in christian and he helps get her back on track
for the rest of the series, i didn't have much planned and was going to take it chapter by chapter. i knew tara's lingering feelings would get in the way of olivia and christian's relationship, but it wouldn't get in the way of olivia and tara's friendship.
olivia would definitely get into the company and her and christian would stay together.
i'll leave you with the rest of what i wrote for chapter seven:
"YOU KNOW you're really good at this, right?" Olivia asked, taking a sip of her water.
"I'm not just a ballet boy, you know," Christian remarked, responding to Olivia's compliment over his hip-hop moves.
She laughed, exiting the classroom. Olivia eyed Sammy, who was acting as if he was the brand new hip-hop God.
"You know, for a middle-class Jewish boy from Rosebad, I think I'm getting the hang of this hip-hop, Kat," Sammy said, raising his hand for Christian. "'Sup, player?"
Olivia giggled when he was denied; Christian walked right past him.
"You know, it's kind of weird even hearing you say the words 'hip-hop,'" Kat teased.
Olivia nodded in agreement. "She's right, Sammy. Stick to being that cute, middle-class Jewish boy from Rosebad."
"Ethan!" The trio heard Tara call down the hallway, rushing over to the blonde. "I made you a mix CD. It's just a few dance tracks, some contemporary-"
"She isn't," Kat murmured to herself.
"No, she is," Sammy sighed.
"And it's not looking good," Olivia added.
"Sure, thanks," Ethan said. "I'll give it a listen."
He frantically left and Tara grinned. "Okay, great. That would be great."
Tara walked over to her friends, who were clearly judging her. "Did you just give my brother a mix CD?" Kat asked.
"It's just a few dance tracks," Tara shrugged off.
Kat rolled her eyes and began to walk down the hallway. Sammy and Olivia exchanged a look as Tara tried to dig herself out of the hole she just created. "I'm only being friendly. I tried. I really tried not to think about him. I can't help it."
"Yeah, she did try, Kat," Sammy defended.
Kat spun around. "Not hard enough," she emphasized.
"That's true, Tara," Olivia nodded. "It's been like what? Two days?"
Tara just sighed and the group continued to walk.
⚄⚄⚄⚄⚄
"Come with me."
"What?" Olivia hissed as Christian tugged on her arm. "Christian, I have class!"
"Don't worry, I got you excused."
Olivia glanced back at Sammy and Kat, who just shrugged and waved her off. Christian slung her dance bag over his shoulder and pulled Olivia into the hallway. She saw that Ethan was also present, and she fidgeted nervously.
"Um, where are we going?"
"Somewhere fun, I promise."
When they reached the other side of town, Olivia began to recognize her surroundings. "Are we visiting Kaylah?"
"Wait a minute," Christian paused. "You've met Kaylah, but you've never met me before the academy?"
"Aaron's picky on who he introduces me to," Olivia explained. They reached the area where hip-hop music was loudly playing. She hadn't realized yet, but Christian had been holding her hand the whole journey there.
"He's awesome," Ethan commented about the guy dancing in the middle on top of the flat cardboard boxes.
"Hey, ballet boy," Kaylah greeted. "Hi, Olivia!"
Olivia waved back as Ethan asked, "Who's that?"
"It's Kaylah. The one you should be looking out for," Christian responded.
As soon as Kaylah hit the floor, Olivia finally noticed another hand was snaked through hers. "Um, Christian? I don't think friends hold hands like this."
"Sure, they do. What's wrong with a little hand holding?"
"Christian," she spoke sternly, raising her eyebrows.
He chuckled, taking his hand away from hers. "Just playing with you, Liv. Don't you need some extra hip-hop lessons anyway? Heard you were just as bad as Abigail."
She gasped, hitting his arm. "Not true. Look, I may be a little stiff, but what do you expect? I grew up learning ballet, not hip-hop."
"Well, then, come on. I'll show you."
Christian pulled her to the side, teaching her how to move her body in a fluid motion. Olivia understood where he was coming from — most of the girls at the academy failed to relax their bodies and let loose. She had to admit that she was definitely one of those ballerinas.
"You got some nice tricks. How did you do that turning jump?" Olivia heard Ethan ask Kaylah. "I love that."
Kaylah chuckled awkwardly. "I don't know."
"See, you put your weight on your left leg, right?"
"I never really thought of it that way."
"Well, how about I just give it a go, and you tell me where I'm going wrong?" Ethan questioned.
His interaction with Kaylah was gaining attention, especially from one of the guys in the area. Christian noticed the growing tension and pulled Olivia towards them. "Alright, let's go."
"Why?" Ethan asked.
"Because we're done," Christian hissed, pulling him away.
"We'll maybe catch up sometime?" Ethan inquired to Kaylah before leaving.
"Christian, what's happening?" Olivia asked him as they walked away from the scene. Christian's hand was locked with hers again, and this time, she noticed but didn't say anything.
"Ethan's going to cause trouble," he replied.
"Like that guy's going to come kick our asses?"
He smirked. "Don't worry, Liv. I'll come to your rescue always."
⚄⚄⚄⚄⚄
"Sammy likes you!"
Olivia paused as she was brushing her teeth, raising one eyebrow at the two screeching girls in front of her. Kat and Tara stood there, waiting for the girl's reaction.
"Excuse me?" Olivia blubbered out through a mouth full of toothpaste.
Kat and Tara barged into her room and Bonnie threw them all a weird look. "Okay," Tara began. "Do you know how when you have a crush everything begins to revolve around them?"
For some reason, Christian popped into her mind. Olivia shook it off. "Yeah, kind of."
"Well, I was talking to Sammy about getting a crush and I thought he was giving me all of these signals about crushing on someone who you shouldn't be, but it turns out that he didn't like me," Kat explained.
"Then, I confronted him about it, but he doesn't like me either!" Tara added.
"So, that can only mean one thing."
Olivia's eyes widened. "No. Way."
"Yes!"
After much persuasion, Olivia traveled down to Sammy's room and knocked on his door. Her heart was thumping in her chest, and she honestly didn't know what to say to him. Did Sammy actually like her?
"Geez, not again," he exclaimed when he opened the door. "Look, I don't like you or Kat or Tara. Not in that way. It would be like dating my sisters."
Olivia released a sigh of relief. "Really? Oh, you don't understand how grateful I am to hear that, Sammy."
"Yeah-" he furrowed his eyebrows. "Wait. Why? Would there be something wrong with liking me?"
She rolled her eyes before someone grabbed her arm. She tilted her head. "Isabelle?"
The blonde huffed. "Do you know where Christian is? Totally bailed on Ethan."
"He didn't show up for the performance?" Olivia asked, confused.
"No, and he made a fool out of Ethan. He's going down to grab that girl Kaylah so she can substitute."
Olivia's blood ran cold. "What? No, Isabelle, he can't go there."
"Well, he's already on the way. He wouldn't have to if Christian-"
Olivia ran out of the dormitories, rushing to the academy. She tried to ignore the fact that she was still in her pajamas because she hopped right out of bed. She saw Christian walking outside and pushed his chest.
"Woah, woah. What's up with you, Liv?"
"You know what? I thought you were better than abandoning people, Christian! What's wrong with you? Ethan was counting on you!"
"Look, it was too much pressure, okay?" Christian shot back. "It was just too much on the line for me, and I wasn't into it."
"Well, because of you, Ethan is down there probably getting punched to oblivion. He went to get Kaylah."
"What?" Christian questioned in disbelief.
i stopped writing the chapter at this point, so i apologize for not finishing it. please comment your thoughts!
