The white tom sighed. They had found out. Not even in a cool way. By a spirit coming from the depths of hell. And they believed her.
"Get up, Hyenastrike. It's time to say goodbye," a voice said.Hyenastrike obliged. As soon as he left the den, his three kits ran up to him. "Daddy!" Thistlekit cried. "Daddy, don't leave! Please! She already left me! I can't lose you too!"
The other kits whined in agreement, tugging on Hyenastrike's paws.The father sighed with tears filling his eyes. "Kits, I did something bad a long time ago when I wasn't in my right mind. I must leave. They will surely kill me if I attempt to stay."
The kits cried in protest but Hyenastrike simply bent down, gently nuzzling each of their tiny heads and whispering sweet messages.Thistlekit leaped in front of Hyenastrike's paws. "No! Please! We're supposed to be a family!" The Kit sobbed. "Daddy, no! Don't leave us!"
Hyenastrike felt tears slide down his cheeks "I'm sorry, my kits. I have to go."
One of his former Clanmates stalked up to him. "You've said your goodbyes," they growled. "Can we go now?" Hyenastrike shook his head. "No. Where's Duskfire."
The cat groaned and rolled their eyes. "Get a move on!" They impatiently shoved Hyenastrike away.Hyenastrike was quickly escorted away.
Before leaving camp he cried, "Duskfire! I'm so sorry. I-I wanted to prove myself to them." He sobbed out the final words.
"Take good care of our kits!"
Hyenastrike has been exiled due to killing a kit! Duskfire will continue to watch his kits.
