Fallen leaves swirled around the crouched shape of Splashlight, crying over the spot where Streamwish was buried. "I-it sh-should've been m-me," He choked out. "Y-you were s-so perfect, my a-angel, I-" The sound of twigs snapping behind him interrupted his apology. Sudden rage fueled through him, and Ripplewave flashed through his mind. An image of innocent Streamwish, having her fragile white throat torn apart by the-the monster. He lashed out at the white and grey shape making its way through the tall ferns, fury taking over him as he slashed at the cat that he imagined was Ripplewave. He unsheathed his claws and tore them across the face of the mystery cat. Too late, he remembered that Ripplewave was already dead. He stepped back to see the fallen victim of his rage. It was his daughter, Sprayfrost.Starclan, what have I done?
