How will the world end?

That's another question of some people.

In some apocalyptic movies, the end of the world was depicted with earthquakes, tsunami and a great flood.

In the time of Noah, the world as indeed wiped out with water.

But God promised not to destroy the earth again with water.

It was written in Genesis 9:11-16:

And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

So in the future, this great flood wouldn't ever happen again. Instead, the bible declared that the earth shall be destroyed by FIRE and all its elements shall MELT with fervent heat.

It was prophesied by apostle Peter in his epistle at 2Peter 3:6-7, 10:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will
come as a thief in the night;
in the which

the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and

the elements shall melt with fervent heat,

the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
