Chapter 3 - Robin
Robin was bent over a heavy looking tome, occasionally turning the pages with a gentle touch. The library had many novels from many different worlds, and Robin was excited to read them all in an excitement only bookworms could understand. The other Robin shared the sentiment, but was busy showing Chrom around.
Robin moved the newly finished book aside and picked up the next one in his pile. It was a book about history, magic, and design. Before he could start reading the stale introduction, the heavy wood doors to the library opened. Robin turned to face whomever entered with a look of mild annoyance. Upon realizing that it was just the other Robin and Chrom, his face melted into a friendly smile.
"What did you think of the tour?" Robin rose to give Chrom a welcoming hug.
"This is a nice place. I have to admit, it's still a little overwhelming," Chrom said. The other Robin grinned.
"We ran into Marth and Ike on the way," she remarked. "I thought Chrom was going to faint."
Robin nodded knowingly. "I remember when we met them for the first time. It was quite an experience!"
Of course, for Robin, the whole Smash thing was an experience. He found out that an alternate universe existed in which he was a woman, which was strange to say the least. Then he got to meet some heroes, that where long dead in his time, as alive young men around his age. Both of the Robins sympathized with Chrom.
"But I'm enjoying my time here," Chrom said. "It's been a great experience and I can't wait for my first match."
"Hah, just pray you don't end up fighting us or Lucina," Robin laughed. Later that day, Chrom took arms against Little Mac in his debut match. Both of the Robins abandoned their studies temporarily to watch and cheer for their best friend. Chrom made quick work of his opponent with a few well placed sword strokes.
