for a girl as afraid of the world as i am

you would never guess the devious smile

that crosses my face as soon as i see

lighting crackle across the evening sky

as i wait in anticipation of the sky turning green

you have no idea how i've been waiting on this

although i know it will not be as grand as it looks 

as much as i am afraid i find an intense joy in 

chaotic danger that could just as soon destroy us
