Memories
Squeak squeak squeak squeak-
"Mark stop pacing, you're making me anxious." Jack mumbled, fiddling with his phone absent mindlessly.
Felix, Jack, Mark, Signe, Marzia, Amy, Taylor, and Smith were all sitting impatiently in the waiting room of the hospital to hear if Murphy, Dark, and Anti were okay.
Thankfully for Dark and Anti, the doctors in Finland had no idea about their "death" in Germany, saving them from having to answer too many questions.
At least if they ever woke up.
"Alright everyone, I have some good news, and some bad news." The doctor announced as he walked into the room.
"The good news?" Signe asked hopefully.
"Mr. Murphy is doing well, he is currently resting and should be out of the hospital in a couple of hours." The doctor informed them cheerfully.
"And the bad news?" Taylor chimed in worriedly.
"Your two friends Mark Fischbach and Sean McLoughlin...they're asleep and their wounds are too severe, there's nothing I can do for them." The doctor admitted slowly, his tone soft.
"Let us see them." Mark demanded harshly.
The doctor nodded and quickly led the group to their room, allowing them in before gently closing the door behind them.
Dark and Anti were in separate beds next to each other, their hands intertwined and eyes closed as if they were sleeping peacefully.
"Dark? Anti?" Smith spoke up quietly.
Neither of them reacted, their chests barely moving up and down as they took in shallow breaths of air.
Bandages were wrapped around Anti's bare torso, the white fabric already stained with blood. Dark's chest was sewn up, black thread visible under the bandages wrapped around his chest.
"I heard what happened-"
Murphy broke off when he entered the room, his eyes falling on Anti's prone form lying in bed with a heart monitor attached to him, as well as life support.
"No." Murphy whispered, stumbling over to the two and slumping to his knees by Anti.
"WAKE UP DAMNIT!" Murphy yelled at the top of his lungs, his forest green eyes glittering with tears as he grabbed Anti's free hand.
Both Anti and Dark woke up with startled gasps of surprise, their heart monitors beeping faster than before.
"And I thought I was loud." Anti teased, his voice barely audible as he sucked in another painful breath.
Murphy made a strangled sound between a laugh and a sob as he carefully hugged Anti with a wide smile of relief.
"Hey coach." Dark waved feebly at Smith, who hugged him in response.
"Do you two got registered as us?" Sean interjected.
"Yep, Infelix believes that you two as well as Felix are dead, meaning that he should be off all of our backs forever now." Anti grinned happily.
Everyone fell silent when the door opened, revealing a figure familiar to Anti and Dark.
"Hello." Virus waved sheepishly.
"What do you want?" Dark eyed him warily, holding Anti's hand tighter.
"Infelix left me for scrap, so I...I wanted to apologize. When he left home behind, I felt...Mad." Virus confessed with a slight grin.
"Did you just use your own name as a pun?" Dark scoffed in bewilderment.
"Who the hell are you?" Murphy frowned in confusion at the automaton.
"This is the virus I created called Mad. Infelix made him a body while I was gone." Dark explained.
"So...now what?" Felix wondered aloud.
"I dunno about you guys, but I'm going to a wedding." Dark shrugged casually.
"Whose wedding?" Murphy and Smith asked in unison.
"Anti, I made a promise to you, well, several hours ago that when our job was done I would marry you. So, Mario is red, and Sonic is blue, will you be my player two?" Dark proposed, grimacing as he got out of bed and bent down on one knee, offering Anti a simple copper ring.
"Like I said, as long as a get to keep the dog." Anti joked, scrambling out of bed to help Dark stand back up.
"Of course I'll be your player two. I always was." Anti whispered in Dark's ear as the two embraced, earning awws from Amy, Smith, Signe, and Marzia while the others clapped.
"I love the ring, it looks like its antique." Amy gushed, inspecting the ring as Dark slid it on Anti's finger.
"I guess it kinda is. It used to be my dad's ring, then my mom gave it to me when I turned eighteen. She and my dad weren't the richest when they got married, hence the copper." Dark explained sheepishly.
"I love it and you anyway." Anti assured Dark as he pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.
"What was the clapping about?" The doctor asked with a frown as they came in.
"We're married." Anti announced proudly, holding up hid hand with the ring, the copper glittering in the lights.
"O-oh, um...congratulations I suppose, I'm glad to see you two awake and well." The doctor stammered in confusion, shaking his head.
He had everyone leave so he could make sure Dark and Anti were fine.
After an hour or so, Anti, Dark, and Murphy were finally released from the hospital.
"I'm starving." Anti complained as everyone walked outside to Mark's van.
"Well there is this Irish pub." Jack spoke up with a grin.
"Sure, why not?" Mark chuckled with a shrug as everyone climbed into the car and drive to the pub.
"Ah, remember when you punched me in the face? Good times." Mark teased Dark as they walked in.
"Hey-"
"Here's my money." The manager broke off as Anti shove a handful of cash into his hand.
The manager paused for a moment before walking off, shaking his head in confusion.
Everyone talked and laughed while they ate, talking about wedding plans and the plans the group had for the future.
By the time it was midnight, Mark had driven everyone to the nearest hotel so they could sleep.
Only instead of sleeping, they played more Mario Kart until four in the morning when everyone passed out in Dark and Anti's room.
