CHAPTER 2
Cathy lived in a huge house, named The Skyside, on a cliff, was away from the rest of the civilisation. Her house had at least 500 rooms. The whole house was covered with multiple gardens which were so beautiful and filled with pretty flowers like roses, marigold and many more whose scent spread around in the house. The house was so beautiful that anyone can mistake it for a house in a fairy tale. It was white coloured with lots of windows.
Amy reached her aunt's house in the morning around 9:00 AM. Her aunt and her daughter, Lily, were waiting for Amy outside the house. They greeted her with their friendly smiles and hugs. The butler took Amy's bags into her new room.
The three of them went to the living room and sat on the couches. The maid brought them tea and some snacks, of which Amy was grateful because she was very hungry.
When they finished their food then Cathy said "I am so sorry dear to hear about your loss," she said with grief. Cathy was Amy's mother's sister, though she never visited her before.
"Aunt it's ok! You don't have to be sorry!" argued Amy.
"Oh dear!" said Cathy.
Lilly suddenly said "I can understand how are you feeling right now, sis. My father passed away a long time back and I still cry, remembering him."
Amy said nothing, she just nodded her head and smiled weekly.
Then finally Cathy got up from her seat and said " Lily can show you your new room. It's just next to her. I think you both will enjoy each others company. Besides, I am leaving now for some important business and won't be back before three days. If you want anything then you can ask the housekeeper, Mrs Scott. She will help you in each and every way. And also, I have done your admission in the same school as Lily. Your school will start on Monday. So enjoy yourselves my dear ones." And she went away.
Lily said all enthusiastically "Amy, we can be best friends, and besides, I don't have any friend, no one talks to me. So will you be my bestie? We can do everything together and we also live in the same house!"
"Ya sure Lily! Why not? Anyways I am new to this place, you can help me with many things," answered Amy.
"Yeah! I got a new bestie! " exclaimed Lily.
"So tell me about yourself, Amy," said Lily as they headed towards the bedrooms.
They continued to chit chat on their way. Amy thought Lily is not so bad. She is childish but is good from heart.
When they reached the bedroom, Lily said "so I'll come back in half an hour and help you in unpacking," and she went inside her room which was adjoining Amy's.
Amy locked the door and fell down on her bed. She wanted to use her magic so bad. So she grew some flowers on the empty pot kept on the windowpane with a swish of her hand. Then she studied her room. It was very big and beautiful. The walls were painted baby pink which was soothing to the eyes. The curtains were matching to the walls. The bed was king size and the mattress was very fluffy and soft. She had a big study table in front of her bed and a big closet next to the study table. The room had a big and beautiful carpet. The room was well lit and the sunlight coming inside from the magnificent window made everything more lively. She immediately formed a liking for her room.
She was still admiring her room when she heard a knock on her door. She went and opened it. Lily was standing on the door with a cute puppy in her hand.
"Awwwwww!" Said Amy and took the puppy in her hand.
"What is its name?" asked Amy.
"She is called Fluffy. Isn't she cute?" Replied Lily. "She usually doesn't go to the strangers. I think that she likes you."
Amy smiled and went inside her room and sat on the bed. Lily followed her. They played with Fluffy for a while when suddenly Lily remarked " oh! We have to unpack your bags! Better do it before lunch."
Amy agreed. The girls spend one hour unpacking the bags. They talked and laughed while arranging the stuff in the closet. When they finished, they went down in the dining room where the food was almost set.
There was a huge dining table on which at least fifty people can sit. It was an antique. Amy was very astonished to see such a large variety of food. She ate with amusement, talking with Lily in between, forgetting everything that had happened before coming here.
