( chapter three ! )
𝟢𝟢𝟥． 𝖺𝗅𝗅 𝖿𝖾𝖾𝗅𝗂𝗇𝗀𝗌 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝖺𝗍 𝖾𝖺𝗌𝖾

    Isaac, Lee, and Carmen walked into their school. As they walked, it was only halfway through the day, and a brunette girl approached them. "Hey." She spoke to them broadly.

"What do you want, Rory ? " Isaac asks the random young woman . "I'm Carmen's tour guide . " Rory says indicating to Carmen .

"I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to tour her," Isaac insists, but Rory shakes her head. "I was assigned to be her tour guide. So, no way."

"That's ridiculous," Isaac exclaimed angrily. "I've been at this school longer than you, but you were assigned here? Who assigned you? "

"The guidance counsellor. I don't see anything wrong with that. " Rory replied with confidence. "I don't see anything wrong with that." Isaac mocks her with a funny face.

Rory was obviously annoyed by Isaac's remark. She took a deep breath to calm down. "Look, I don't understand the problem with her helping." Carmen looked over at Isaac.

"Thank you! By the way," She holds out her hand for Carmen to shake, "I'm Rory."

Lee just stood there, not really sure what was going on. He wondered if the girl was really going to show Carmen around.

Rory usually hung around their small group of friends — which wasn't that big considering that it did consist of him, Isaac, Rory and two other friends.

Rory was very spontaneous. She wasn't really the person to always be the same every day. She had a new personality every day, it's what kept her happy.

As the young girl stuck out her hand, the new student happily took it and shook it.

"Now let's leave these two dickheads." Rory smiles as she wraps her arm around Carmen's neck. "Hey!" Isaac and Lee complain in unison.

Rory smirked at the group as she led Carmen away. As the two of them walked, Carmen looked around her new school. She was excited but still a bit nervous.

Rory was quick with the tour, she didn't like keeping things going for a long time — especially if it was boring.

"Your home room is here." Rory led Carmen to a classroom, "I think you have it will Isaac. Sorry." She pours as she stands at the door.

"Uh thanks." Carmen smiles before she walks into the class. She notices Isaac sitting at the back with a few other students.

As Carmen walked into the classroom, she began to glance around at her new classmates. She quickly picked out Isaac sitting in the back of the room.

"Well look who decided to show up." Isaac smirks as he slowly turns to face her. "I don't think it took that long." Carmen sighs placing her bag on the ground.

The teacher walks into the classroom with a big folder full of papers for their next class. The teacher began to call out the name on the roll.

"Alyssa Arentz, Dimitri Forbes, Isaac Gracia, oh and it looks like we have a new student with us today. Carmen Howard." The teacher announced to the class.

Carmen hesitantly stands up at her desk, "Hi Carmen, what brings you here to Silver falls high?" The teacher asks unaware of her family situation.

She didn't want to blurt out that she's now living with the Walters because they felt pity and took them in but she didn't know what to say exactly.

"To get out of the big city." Isaac saved her as he stood up. "Fair enough." The teacher groaned, Carmen flashed a thank you look over at Isaac who just nodded.

It felt weird to Isaac — him being all nice to Carmen. He usually isn't the type to go all soft on a girl let alone a person.

He just didn't know what had changed, and it wasn't going admit that he had a little crush on Carmen. It just wasn't like him.

The first two periods went by really fast, so when Carmen finally came back to earth, it was already lunch time.

Carmen smiled gratefully at Isaac and thanked him for assisting her with the teacher.

Being in a new school made her a little anxious, but Isaac's encouragement helped her feel more at ease.

"Thanks again." She glanced over at as the two got their trays.

"It's all good." Isaac replies as he puts the food on hie tray. Once they finish getting their food they reach the end where they have to pay.

Carmen goes to pay for her food but Isaac pushes her hand away, "This one's on me — food here is crazy expensive." He says as he goes ahead paying for her and his food.

She could feel her cheeks beginning to blush but she quickly distracted herself from letting herself be vulnerable.

Rory waved them over to her table with Lee. As they sat down, she introduced them to her other friends and made sure Carmen felt included in the conversation.

The lunch break flew by as they all talked and got to know one other better.

Carmen noticed that she was beginning to feel more at ease in her new school when the bell for the next lesson rang.
