Many many years ago Alma Madrigal was given a miracle when her candle was transformed into a magical flame that couldn't go out. The candle created a safe haven for Alma and others. Mountains grew from the ground as a protective wall. From the candle Alma's new family home was created. La Casa Madrigal. Over time all of Alma's family was given magical Gifts to help their community. Alma's children Pepa,Bruno,and Julieta were the first Madrigals to get Gifts. Pepa was given the ability to control the weather with her emotions,Bruno could see the future,and Julieta could heal people with the food she made. Then when Pepa and Julieta married their loves they had children of their own with their own magic Gifts. Pepa's daughter Dolores had super-human hearing,Pepa's son Camilo could shapeshift,and Pepa's younger son Antonio could communicate with animals. Julieta's first daughter Isabela could grow flowers with a wave of her hand,and Luisa was abnormally strong. (A/N: Forgot to mention this in also an au where Mirabel didn't exist and the magic faded a different way. More about it soon). The Madrigals used their Gifts to help their community. Until one day the color started to fade from the houses in the Encanto. As the color faded the candle started to go out and the lights of the doors in La Casa Madrigal started to go out as well. As the days went by the colors faded and the magic was lost. The mountains around the Encanto sank back into the ground and those who lived there left including the Madrigals after Alma left instructions on how to bring back the miracle and use the Gifts properly.

Years later a man named Andrew cam across the lost Encanto. He went up to La Casa Madrigal which still had some magic in it. The Casa Madrigal led Andrew to Alma's old bedroom where he found the candle and the instructions. He followed the instructions and brought back the Encanto and the magic. When the mountains came back a magic gate appeared in them that let those with magical Gifts into the Encanto. Which led new users of the Gifts into the Encanto. Pepper with Pepa's Gift. Brock with Bruno's Gift. Juliette with Julieta's Gift. Dina with Dolores's Gift. Cameron with Camilo's Gift. Anthony with Antonio's Gift. Isabel with Isabela's Gift. And Leah with Luisa's Gift. But they weren't the only ones with the Madrigal's Gifts. More people with magic Gifts came to the Encanto which brought Andrew and the new Gift users to make the Encanto into a school for those with the Madrigal's Gifts. Thus the Encanto Academy for Magic Gifts was created. The academy put in place different tracks for each Gift. The Pepa Track,The Bruno Track,The Julieta Track,The Dolores Track,The Camilo Track,The Antonio Track,The Isabela Track,and The Luisa Track. Now the students of the academy learn how to control their Gifts.
