Today is the day Lucy starts at the tavern.  I'm a little nervous for her, there is a lot of intimidating people there, most of which don't take kind to strangers in their town. I mean unless your a trader; as for tourists let's just say...they don't stay long.

A lot of us have a very good reason for not welcoming people. Others who were effected but chose to not be a dick to everyone who passed by were still on high alert.

Hence why our town needs to be under surveillance at all times, the slightest pinch of suspicion can lead to deadly effects, so we take that kind of stuff seriously.

Anyway me and happy will be at the tavern today just to make sure everything goes smoothly...unfortunately I know for a fact it won't. Lucy's new and Erza and gray both knew that and how much of a hard time they all will give her.

I gritted my teeth, Lucy isn't ready. I know that for a fact. I knew she tried to hide her dark thoughts behind her antidepressants- ones she thinks she can hide from me- I know Lucy. Even in the short times we have been in each other's presence, I know she's not okay. When I would bring her food to try my best to get her to have Atleast somthing; she kept it down the best she could. I could tell from the slight grimace when she swallowed.

She didn't wanna eat. Her ex sure did a number on her. How the hell could you even lay a finger on someone as precious as Lucy?

If I ever met this dude, He would die. No doubt about it, I don't even know what all he did but what ever it was; it's bad. Very bad, Lucy don't know that she has nightmares. She screams but never wakes up. I go in there and calm her, until she's stopped trembling.

It really makes me wonder, what all had she endured?

"Your lookin pretty pissed there, Natsu." Happy decided to say and I just rolled my eyes at him, ignoring the thoughts I had from before. I won't let her get involved in that situation. So I must keep my emotions - anger- intact.

"It's nothing happy." He snickered before minding his own business.

Happy. My little brother, a real pain in the ass if you ask me. This kid is insane, literally.

Everyone is completely oblivious as of how he lost his mind at the age of 13. He has never shown any different emotions other than; playfulness and slyness. Happy is a rare kind of person though so we all love him and wanna kick him upside the head at all points of the day.

He's a jokester and trouble maker; which may be my fault. As I was getting older I was a bit of a bad boy, still am but with Lucy being around I calmed down.

Maybe I'm just scared? Scared of her not liking My bad boy style. Maybe it would scare her..I don't want that.

"Do you think she's gonna last today?" I asked him and he just shrugged "you wanna hear my honest opinion?" I shook my head but he went on anyway. Of course he would, he's lost his mind so what he's about to say next is probably some sick shit.

"I honestly believe they are gonna grill her alive. She don't stand a chance being in the tavern, me and gray just suggested it as a joke but she actually bought it." He snickered and I glared at him, of course he did it for his own cruel laughter.

I can't really blame him though, it's not even him. The happy from my childhood died along with our fellow members when we were attacked.
He lost his mate, I may have said the others don't know why but I never said I didn't.

By mate I mean soulmate, whether you wanna believe it or not we all have one.

Erza walked up to me and happy, we were seated at the back tables of the tavern watching everyone around us.

"You look tense." She commented and I shrugged "I am. This is one of the worst places to work if your new here, which is why I can't get my head wrapped around why the hell you would want to have her work here." I hissed and she smacked the back of my head.

I scowled as I tried to spot the pain, what a raging she devil.
"She will be fine Natsu. She has to do this, you can't keep her all to herself. That's not healthy for her until you been in her position don't stop her from bettering herself. It makes you look selfish." I sighed Erza has a point. She went through the same exact thing lucy did.

Abuse.

"Look here she comes! Mira is gonna be showing her the ropes round here huh?" Me and Erza glanced at happy with a strange expression on our faces.

Mira. Our original bar tender and her sister lisanna are the ones who waitress and bartend.

Lucy is kind enough for one. Maybe this will work for her?

I really hope it does

Also yes, happy has lost his mind in this book. So he's never really serious. I was also gonna say Somthing about lisanna's character in this book awhile ago but forgot about it so here it is.

I do not hate lisanna or anything so for future reference when I do add her in more please don't think of me as someone who hates her just because of her past with Natsu. I actually really like her character! I just don't really ship her with Natsu 😅

But her attitude in this book will kinda be all over the place. Also all of these chapters are unedited so there's tons of mistakes. Sorry about that. Haha
