Chapter One (cuz I suck at chapter names)

  (Y/N's POV)

  Why did I even want to be here in the first place? I dunno. Welp. I put this upon myself. On this stupid bus that smells like multiple people died. Yup. That smell's familiar.

  The sudden stop of the reeking bus broke me out of my internal rambling. I was sitting at the very back at the bus, so I tilted my head and looked down the isle. A very excited-looking girl with mint colored hair bolted out of her seat and out of the bus doors. Then, a taller boy with light brown hair hesitantly stepped out of his seat, twidling with his fingers and sweating like crazy. He finally got off the bus after double checking every step he took like he was gonna step on a nail or something.

  I was about to get off of the bus when I got a weird feeling that something interesting was about to happen. And I would do anything for something different to happen.

  So, I sat back in my chair with my earbuds and my hand radio. I knew that I had nothing to worry about, because from what I observed, the bus driver isn't the most attentive person in the world. He left the bus without remembering to check the back of the bus and he also forgot to turn the bus off, so the air conditioning was on and I didn't have to worry about my insides boiling. Eventually, I dozed off in my own sea of thoughts.

                           ~~~~~~
  I awoke as I felt the bus revving back up and a couple of people yelling at each other.
  "Do you even know how to drive this thing?!"
  "I've seen it in movies! I'm fine!"
  At least, it was something like that. I wasn't really paying that much attention. I was still concentrating on trying to wake up completely. Then... I felt the bus twisting and turning everywhere. Two voices were screaming in excitement, and one was screaming bloody murder. I just sat there, still trying to process what was happening.
  See, I'm not asking for a death wish, and I actually wore a seat belt. Then... boom.
  The bus crashed. Yep, I was expecting that.
  (Max's POV)
  "Let me go!" I screamed at the policeman. Nikki and Neil were more cooperative,  so they were walking next to him. Neil looked slightly disappointed, but Nikki still looked excited.
  "There you guys are!" David said as him and Gwen walked up to us. David and the policeman talked for a minute, then the policeman finally put me down.
  "Oh, also," another policeman started, "we found this girl at the back of the bus." I looked behind me and saw him holding a girl up above the ground by the hood of her (Ho/C) [Hoodie Color] hoodie. She had (H/L) [Hair Length] (H/C) [Hair Color] hair that was frizzed from the bus, I'm assuming. She also had a fairly small, gray backpack on her back. I looked at her face, and she had a dead expression. Her (E/C) [Eye Color] eyes looked dull and were half-closed. If she wasn't blinking and I couldn't see her chest rising and falling slightly, I would've assumed that she was dead.
  The guy set her down gently, and she started walking forward. "Hey, idiot. Welcome to hell." I said with a smirk. She didn't say anything and kept walking, the same expression plastered on her face.
  "Oh, welcome new camper! You must be (Y/N)! No wonder I didn't-" David started, but stopped as she walked right past him too. "-see you before..." he finished. What the hell is her problem?
  (Your POV)
  I don't have time to deal with these people. They don't care about me anyway. Seeing as I was in the bus for a few hours, it was kinda late, around sunset, so I decided to walk around. I remembered hearing about a lake with a good view of the sunset, so I decided to go there, and get my mind off of everything.
  Once I got there, I found a picnic table next to the lake, so I sat there. I watched the lake refleciting the sun for a little, then I rested my head. "Hey." I heard someone say sharply.
  I opened one eye and realized that it was night and the stars were out. I looked it the direction of the voice, and saw the emerald-eyed boy from before. I tilted my head a bit, indicating for him to continue talking.
  "What're you doing out here, dumbass? What, ya don't have any friends or something?" he inquired, smirking.
  I said nothing. He looked slightly irritated and furrowed his eyebrows. "Hellooo? Earth to mute? Can you eyen talk? Say something-"
  "I know your type." I said in my low, calm voice.
  "What?" he said, thinking that I should be threatened. But I'm smarter than that.
  "I said, I know your type. Your life sucks, so you enjoy making others' lives suck. When you don't get the response you want, you get mad. And by me telling you this and you realizing that I'm right but not wanting to admit it, you're going to have an outburst in which you threaten me, trying to ignore all that I just said." I explained, my face expression not phased.
  His face turned red in embarrassment and anger. "DON'T EVER TALK TO ME LIKE THAT OR I'LL TURN YOUR LIFE TO HELL!" he barked. I turned my head again.
  "My point proven." He growled at that and, not knowing what to say, he stormed off.
  A couple minutes passed, and the overly happy co-counselor came over to me. "Hello, (Y\N)! We didn't get to talk before!" he exclaimed. I turned my head toward him slightly with one eye open and my signature dull expression. "My name is David! It's late, let me show you to your tent!"
  ". . ."
  I could tell that David started to feel a bit awkward from my lack of words.
  ". . . Okay." I responded at last. David seemed relieved.
  "Okay, (Y/N), follow me!" he exclaimed as he started marching happily to the area where the tents were. After a minute or two of walking, he stopped at the front of a tent. "We're, eheh, running low on tents, so you're gonna have to share... B-But there are seperate beds and this tent is slightly bigger, so don't worry!" David explained. I shrugged, implying that I didn't care. I'm not the most... talkative person.
  David unzipped the tent and pushed aside the flaps to reveal the emerald-eyed boy. The boy whipped his head around from sitting on his bed and gave us both a glare. "David, why the hell is she here?" he demanded.
  "She'll be sharing the text with you!" David responded cheerfully. The boy's eyes widened.
  "HELL NO!" he barked. David ignored him.
  "(Y/N), this is gonna be your tent buddy, Max."
  Max. This is gonna be an interesting Summer with him around.
  I simply nodded and walked to my bed, setting my backpack down and rummaging through the few things that I brought. "See you two in the morning!" David said before leaving the tent and zipping it back up.
  I could feel my back burning from the glare that Max was giving me, but I just ignored it and continued searching through my backpack until I found what I was looking for. "Yes." I mumbled to myself. Max heard it apparently.
  "Yes, what?" he asked in an annoyed tone. I didn't answer him and pulled out my stuffed panda bear, Camo. I climbed onto my bed and sat near my pillow, holding Camo close to me. I could hear Max's muffled snickering, so I turned and faced him to see what was so funny. "Why'dya have a dumb bear?"
  "I could ask you the same thing." I responded almost immediately, motioning to a brown stuffed bear on the other end of his bed. He quickly grabbed it and hid it behind his back. I turned my attention back to my backpack and pulled out my radio and earbuds.
  "Hey." Max started. I turned back to him. "Aren't you gonna put on pajamas or something?" he asked, tilting his head. I looked down at what I was wearing, and I was still wearing black jeans, my hoodie, and a dark red shirt under.
  "Oh." I thought out loud. I looked through my bag to find no pajamas, then turned back to Max. "Guess I forgot 'em." I said while shrugging. He furrowed his eyebrows, but didn't say anything. I then grabbed my backpack and set it down on the ground so it was leaning against my bed.
  "Uh... Isn't sleeping in that... uncomfortable?" Max pushed.
  I paused. "...Kinda." I looked away, continuing to do my own thing. He finally got the hint and dropped the subject.
  As I continued organizing where I put everything, I could feel him staring at me. Not a glare this time. I ignored it and finally finished putting everything away.
  After finishing, I laid down, pulling the covers over me, and getting my radio and Camo. I put in one earbud and played soft music at half volume while hugging Camo. A couple minutes after closing my eyes, I could feel Max staring at me again.
  This kid is really confusing...
  I opened one eye and saw him looking at me. "Could you turn that damn music down?" he asked, irritated.
  I closed my eye again. "No. Deal with it." I responded coldly. I could hear him growl, but he stayed silent. Eventually, I drifted off to sleep.
  (Max's POV)
  Damn, this girl is good. What'll it take to get some emotion out of her?
  I decided not to think of it too much, and I slowly fell asleep, hugging Mr. Honeynuts, and listening to the soft music coming from (Y/N)'s radio.
  1665 words?! Dang. Welp. Hope you liked it so far! They're both 14, so are Nikki and Neil. I'll do some chapters based on episodes, but they'll be out of order and stuff so yeaaaa
  Oke bai! :3
