Truth & Lies
Hey so this is the Martyn in the other dimension. The one where Scott's actually the one who killed himself. Some background for it is that Martyn and Scott had been dating for about 2 years when Scott couldn't do it anymore and pulled the plug.
He was found hanging from his living room ceiling fan. Martyn was heartbroken and is now alone. Mumbo sits with some other kids and Scar and Grian are dating. (Grian was put in a different dimension bc this is too confusing if it was the same one Grian was teleported to)
So right now, Martyn's heartbroken and doesn't really have any friends. Cool? Cool.
Also, those of you who have been wishing Rick's death, this should turn your perspective around. Go join RPS (Rick Protection Squad) and help me protect my boy!! He doesn't deserve this hate he's been getting >:(
Anyway,
Enjoy!
Martyn's Perspective-
I sighed as I sat down with my food tray.
I looked around and saw everyone else talking to each other, laughing and smiling.
I tried to forget all the memories that were coming back to me like a slap in the face.
The memories of me and Scott goofing off together.
I miss his giggle, his smile.
I miss him.
And it had only been two days.
"Come on, Martyn, just forget it." I told myself, shutting my eyes.
"That'd just make things worse."
I opened my eyes and saw a guy in a hoodie that had a dog on it and the words 'Let's Go Richmond'.
He nodded at me as he took out his lunchbox.
"Er- hi? Who are you?"
"Rick. Rick Denson."
"Oh...how come I've never met you?"
"I just moved here a couple days ago. I sat here yesterday and now you're here. No one else want me at their tables so," He shrugged, "I'm sitting here."
I nodded slowly.
"So...what do you mean by 'things will get worse if I try and forget everything'? And how do you even know what I'm talking about?"
"You're Martyn, right?"
I nodded.
"Yeah," Rick said, taking a bite of his sandwich, "I've overheard people talking about you and your boyfriend dying in a car crash or something."
"He didn't die in a car crash!" I shouted before sighing and looking down, "He killed himself."
"Oh, I'm so sorry."
"It's fine."
Rick looked at me before shrugging.
"But trying and forgetting everything won't make anything better."
"How?"
"You'll want to remember those memories you have with your boyfriend when you're older. When someone leaves us, forgetting them just makes everything worse. The most you want to do is try and remember them, no matter how they left the planet. I know it's hard, and especially now, when all you can do is remember them, but you have to trust me."
"And why is that?"
Rick sighed and put down his sandwich.
"The reason why me and my mother moved here is because my dad died."
Rick then winced in pain, and he looked as though he was on the verge of tears.
He snapped back and started to take deep breaths.
"It's okay. Everything's okay." He whispered.
"I feel you." I said, smiling weakly at him.
He smiled back.
I then looked down at my lunch and started to eat the tater tots.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"Hm? Oh I just said I needed to use the restroom."
"Oh, okay."
"Be right back."
He got up and walked away.
As he did, I noticed a paper under his lunchbox.
I lifted up his lunchbox and grabbed the paper to see that it was a note.
I unfolded it, wondering if it was for Rick or if someone left it on the table, and I was surprised to see that it was for me.
'Dear Martyn Little-Wood,
Hello. How're you doing? Who am I kidding, you're probably devastated that your boyfriend died. But do not worry. We have a solution. We can help you. Just trust Rick and what he's doing.
Sincerely,
Well...you'll see me soon :)
I reread the letter, getting more and more nervous.
Rick then sat down, and I looked at him.
"What?" Rick asked.
"I- er- "
"What's that?" Rick tried to look at the letter and I folded it up.
"It's just...a random piece of paper that said something stupid."
"Oh...okay." Rick shrugged, "Well hey, wanna hang out at my place later? We can talk more about...you know, if you want."
I smiled softly, "Sure."
Later (Rick's Perspective)-
"So," I said, sitting down, "Wanna get started on homework or do something else?"
Martyn shrugged.
"Hey...what's up?"
"I- ..." Martyn took out the letter from earlier and showed it to me.
That was the ticket.
The second Martyn mentioned what the letter was about or showed me the letter, we would get teleported.
And sure enough,
We got teleported to the main Watcher.
"Ah, hello there, Martyn."
Martyn's eyes widened and I started to feel guilty.
No, I have to do this.
'But look at him! He's your fucking true love and you're watching him cower in fear. You're tricking him, you're playing him. Controlling him. You are ruining his life. You're a terrible person.'
I shook my head, getting rid of the voices.
But they just got louder.
It got so loud that I couldn't hear what the main Watcher was saying.
All I had to do was act scared, but this time, I actually was scared.
I watched as Martyn nodded and looked fearfully as a giant purple eye formed.
He agreed to being a Watcher. Oh Martyn, your life isn't going to get better.
Martyn walked up to the eye and reached his hand out to it.
He then stopped and pointed to me, asking the main Watcher something.
They both looked at me and the main Watcher laughed before comforting Martyn.
Martyn bit his lip and reached out his hand again.
Purple light started to surround his arm and reached out to grab him and pull him in.
"NO!" I shouted.
Martyn stopped and turned to me.
I finally regained control of myself, but I knew that I was glitching by the look on Martyn's face.
"Rick? What's going on? What's wrong?"
Martyn ran over to me and kneeled down.
"Rick? What's wrong?"
I felt my face heat up and I looked up at the main Watcher, who was death staring me.
"You can't do this." I said shakily.
I picked myself up and started running.
I then snapped and teleported away.
