They All were working towards finishing their classes
Jimmy stayed close to scotts side the whole time they were in the dorm.
He got him everything he needed and was there to comfort him no matter what.
Xornoth Was worried the rest of the day, but knew his focus had to be school as he was already on the brink of failing English
Joel helped calm Xornoth down if he were to get too mad.
Despite Xornoth not being fond of joel most of their life,
He came to the conclusion he wasnt too bad.
More "acquaintances" than friends.
But joel took it as progress
Grian and Lizzie didnt know what to think
They were worried about their friend of course
But also had no clue where they sat in this.
Joel was scotts childhood best friend,
and Xornoth was his twin brother.
They were not as close with him as those two
technically "three" including shelby, who wasnt aware of the situation.
And they had no clue if they ever would be.
Over the past couple months Jimmy and Scott grew very close,
hung out together nearly every weekend, at the arcade or a cafe.
Now jimmy was taking care of a very sick Scott when they've barely known eachother for 6 months.
But that didnt matter to them,  scott was jimmys priority at this moment.
He was going to make sure he was there and scott was okay until Xornoth got back and possibly drop kicked him out of the door for being close to his twin
Over protective much... jimmy thought to himself
Jimmy looked down and scott was asleep on his legs, it was sweet.
He enjoyed it.
He looked so peaceful.
And he wasnt going to be the one to wake him up, especially in this condition.
He smiled at the sleeping blonde and texted xornoth, what was he going to do?
Just leave a worried xornoth to potentially explode the school with everyone in it?
Hah- not a chance.

{Xornoths POV}

I stood infront of joels locker, listened into him talking to lizzie, mostly them flirting.. ew
I continued to stand there, disgusted by joels awful flirting towards the pink haired axolotl hybrid.
I could see my phone light up for a split second in my hand as i lifted it to see, the weird cod kid texted. Weird.

I then closed my phone and slid it into my bag, "Im just gonna head to class early." I said blandly, walking away from the two.

"BYE DEMON BOYYY!!" Lizzie yelled, i chuckled as i walked into class.
"Ah! Mr. Major the second, early i see?" Our math teacher spoke
"yes sir, thought i could get some studying in before the test, plus the halls are busy" I replied, smiling and sitting down in my seat
"Im very proud of you kid, from going from a D+ to a B+ in half a school year? Im impressed, may i ask, who helped you?" He said sitting at his own desk
"Ah, Gemini Tay, Joel Beans and Shelby Grace are the main three, scott has helped in other subjects but maths isnt exactly his strong suit" I said, taking my book out of my bag
"Hes getting better, ive saw progress in you two." He said looking up and smiling
"Ive saw a bit of improvement myself Mr. Ivan" i said, smiling as he smiled back
"Im glad your able to see your achievements Xornoth." he said
"Mr. Ivan, if its just easier you can call me X, alot of people do considering my unique name"I said, smiling at him
"Alright then! Does your name mean anything, why Xornoth afterall?" He quizzed
"The definition of it is 'Give up what you want' me and my brother are known to be 'champions' or something according to our agency, though never meeting our parents makes figuring that out quite hard" I said looking down into my book, tapping my pencil
"I understand that, if you ever need to talk about it im always open, too all my students. ill leave you to your studying, X" He said smiling going back to grading papers
"Thank you Mr. Ivan" I said before going to answer some problems

~After school~

i headed back up to the dorms and heard jimmys annoyed yet muffled by the door, voice
"Scott, you cannot continue working please for the name of cod rest!!" He yelled
"No- i alway' keep workin' 'hats my thing." scott said
"my cod your stubborn.." Jimmy mumbled
"What have i walked in on-?" I asked, opening the door
"Jimm' cal'ed me stubbornnnnn!" scott complained
"you are- but please rest, white paint has more color than your face right now" I said
"wow you two are- so nice to eachother-" Jimmy said
"..'e can be.. som'times" Scott slurred and chuckled
I chuckled back "You can go if you need jim" I said, smiling at jimmy
"yo' two are nice to eac'ther?!" scott slurred yet stunned
"Sometimes, depends if he hurts you or not" I said, smirking
"I would never- i couldnt hes too sweet and cute." Jimmy said, scott blushed on his pale and flushed face 
Jimmy then realized what hed said and flushed a bright pink "Uh i- bye, feel better scott!" He said before tactically running out of the room
"Pfft-" i tried to hold back a laugh "its so obvious hes in love with you!!" I yelled laughing
"no he isn' why would h' choos' me-" scott slurred
"alright enough of this angsty couples talk, please rest, you dont need to work." I said
"I hav' a dam' job unlik' yo'.." he mumbled, his words slurred and blending together
"AN' im no'.. si.. *coughing*"
"You were saying mr. Im not sick?" I said smirking
"..'m..not.." he mumbled 
"Fine fine, if you want go on with your day. Not my fault if you turn out miserable." I said, walking away to my room and slamming the door shut.

{Scotts POV}

..ugh- this sucks- i really shouldve given in, but i have a show to run and a job to do.. and put applications in for collages.. and.. My thoughts were interrupted by a voice
"Hi sir who decided to disappear today" joey said looking at me, sitting on the couch my wings covering my face 
"..hi joey." I said bitterly
"You good dude?" He asked me 
"..'m fine. " I said getting up and brushing out my hair with my fingers. I hadnt changed so i was still presentable to go to my meeting 
(Scott works for a gameshow, nox crew runs it, im using this as a way to import him being an admin without making this back into the video game like thing it once was)
"You sure-? you dont sound well" Joel added, stopping in the doorway, lizzie standing behind him, confused.
"I told you guys im fine." I spoke bitterly "Now i have to go get ready." I said, forcing my words out of their slurring state.
"Scott if somethings wrong you ca-" i cut joel off
"I. told. you. guys. im. fvck!ng FINE!" i said, snapping and going to my room to get ready but i could hear their now whisperish voices 
"Hes 100% not okay-" i heard joey add
"yeah no- did you see him-? his complexion is honestly scary." Joel said
"his wings were covering his face in my view." Joey added
Hearing their voices talking about me i began to tear up, they just wanted to help and i snapped at them.. how could i?! i threw my headphones on, crying. again. i went into my room and slammed the door, sliding down against it

{Joels POV}

"ill be right back liz.. wait for me?" i said 
"I will!" she said smiling as i walked deeper into our dorm to check on scott after he lashed out
"Scott.?" I said gently 
"GO THE HELL AWAY..! i dont wanntalk to anybodyrig.. right now.. i have to get teady.." he mumbled, i frowned, his words were entirely blurred together, i didnt know how to help 
"you sure your alright.?" i asked 
"y..yes..yes i...m.. su- sur *!coughing!* sure.. "
"Please be honest, you honestly dont sound well." I said, keeling down to where i could hear his voice from 
"im fine joel.. i.. *!coughing!* have to get ready.." he mumbled 
His cough honesltly sounded awful, the same as his voice, but i could do anything. as worried as i was i just went back to lizzie. 
"you okay my favorite green boy?" lizzie said twirling my green streak of hair 
"im fine. but scotts lying to us. which i do not like." I said bitterly
"hes such a workaholic its crazy!! hes clearly sick and going to work i ca-" lizzie cut me off
"Its not your fault joel, let him be stubborn. he always has been hasnt he?" She said 
"i guess your right. " i said, following her reluctantly 

~12:00 AM.. because drama and sh!t..~

{Scotts POV}

I sat in my office provided by NoxCrew, coding.
I was tired, but had work to get done. 
My brain wasnt functioning. I felt dead being honest.
I remembered what happened earlier that day. No no scott. your fine. i told myself, repeating a few times in my head.
"scott? your working overtime?" one of my coworkers eloise spoke
"Yeah- dont have a choice today, these teams need to be re-coded by saturday" I said
"You alright man? your voice sounds like sh!t-" eloise commented
"Im fine Soup-" i said chuckling
"Again with the nickname!! i like soup but not that muchh-!!" eloise complained
"how long has it been sense youve ate soup?" I asked her, smirking
"sense lunchh.." she said looking down
"eeexactly." i said
"okay enough with the soup talk- you sure your okay? its midnight and your pale as hell, plus you really do not sound well. nox noticed it aswell in the meeting." she spoke
"Im alright eloise, i-" i got cut off
"be honest. are you okay?" she repeated
"I- *coughs* ahem- im fine el-" i said 
"go home man- i-" she got cut off
"Why the hell havnt you came home." Joel spoke sternly barging into my office
"..work." i replied blaitently
"No. scott we are going home. now." joel stated crossing his arms
"Joel i have a- *coughing* job to do. 3 infact.
"I do not care. Please come home" joel said, frowning
"Listen to joel scott, the teams can wait until later, or I can take care of them or we can even as-" i cut her off
"We are  not asking Tom, el. Plus hes probably in another meeting with nox." I stated, my face stern
"Well i will take care of them then, go home." she stated and joel nodded
"But thi-" joel cut me off
"I dont care if its your job scott, your 15 you should be living the childhood you never had or resting, you dont need to have 3/4 of your life in a goddamn office!" Joel snapped
eloise nodded with his statement
"Im not asking, im choosing for you. Your coming home with me." Joel added walking up to my desk 
"No, im fine joel." I said right before coughing
"no, we are going home, scott. " joel demanded grabbing my hand softly
"...fine." I caved in as he pulled me from my desk chair and i tactically collapsed into his chest
"This is what i mean, you arnt okay." Joel said standing me up straighter
"Im fine.. just tired." I stated
joel chuckled before continuing to put his arm around my shoulders 
"Bye Eloise" i heard joel say
"Bye Joel! Bye scott, and do not. just work from home- dont be stupid" El stated, laughing
"Eh no promises" I said chuckling with her
"Xornoths gonna murder you" Joel told me 
"Yeah welllll-" i said before the three of us chuckled 

~In the Car because author powers~

"Why do you do this to yourself?" Joel asked
"..i got this job when i was 9. i was offered it and our agency didnt have much money so.. i agreed. i didnt care if it was 'child labor' i just wanted to help. thats all. Now im 15 and a team developer for MCC, i need to keep this going and provide money for our new mother and me and xor.. and .. owen, and lauren.. for everyone. Yes, mum has a job. but she owns a cafe, its not much. So i use the money i make from working with NoxCrew and help her out anyway i can." I explained
"YOU STARTED WORK AT 9 YEARS OLD-!?" joel yelled
"Yeah back in Scotland, a year before moving to brighten when you and shelbs would visit nearly every week." I said 
"I miss those times. we would hang out on the beach with my parents and just- be there, together. And now look at us, our trio is back together! going to the same highschool." Joel smiled
"mmhmm.." i hummed in response staring out the window of joels car. 
"Be honest with me though scott. are you alright?" Joel asked  
I didnt reply for a good minute or so. I didnt want to admit i didnt feel well though they were gonna find out one day or another. but no. thats not me. i wouldnt admit to that, besides when i was with jimmy. Joel ive known all my life, but jimmy i felt a- a click with. 
"Like i said, im fine, just tired working after midnight again.." i said leaning my throbbing head against the cold window as i watched the small bits of snow fall in the cold winter month of December. 
"If you say so. " Joel said before the rest of the car ride was silent. entirely silent. but a comforting silence. no awkward tension or anything, it was just us. Sitting in  a car. soon later joel parked his car outside of our dorm hall 
we both got out of the car, joels arm went around my back as he was a 5'9 dude trying to help someone 6'3 still cute he wanted to help out though. 
Joel unlocked the dorm and we were met with the sound of Owen and Xornoth talking 
"FOR FVXKS SAKE SCOTT!!" xornoth yelled coming up and hugging me  
"sorry.." i muttered
"you continuously telling us your fine, then going to work, staying past midnight, and now almost passing out in joels car. doesnt sound very 'fine' to me." Owen stated 
"Please just go get ready and rest, for me?" lauren said coming around the corner
"i- lauren?" i questioned
"they told me how damn stubborn you were being even though your complexion is screaming the fact your sick. no matter how much you deny it." Lauren stated
"Plus, you dont know how to say no to me sooooo, for me, will you rest? please?" Lauren begged
"..fine.." i mumbled 
"thank Exorrr-" xornoth sighed out 
"welp im leaving the sibling drama to you all, call me if you need anything but i have a date to plan with lizzie! sooo~ bye!" joel said walking out backwards slamming the dorm door shut 
"lovesick nerd" i heard owen say which made xornoth laugh 
I just stumbled away to my room down the hallway lightly closing the door. 
I changed before collapsing into my bed, i fell asleep on top of all the covers.

~Next morning yipppie~

I woke up, shivering. God it felt so abnormally cold. I wasnt sure why though. 
In an attempt to sit up a wave of pain and nausea washed over me, i quickly laid my head back down on the pillow, my wings fall limp off my bed, my head-wings fall over my face, blocking out any light. 
I tried, but failed to make it back to sleep. Everything hurt.
god yesterday was really dumb.. i thought to myself
I wanted to wrap up in my blankets, or my wings atleast, but i didnt have the energy to move. 
about what i think was 2 minutes later, though it felt like hours of pain, the light flicked on,
"Get up you three losers" Joey teased waking all 3 of us up.
I tried to sit up again but barely made it a centimeter without falling limp back onto my pillow, shaking. 
My wings were off of my bed, it hurt as they were being bent in an odd way, but i couldnt muster up the energy to move them, anything for that matter.
Joel, Owen and joey went out of the room, Joel and owens closets werent even in here,  they were in the hallway wall, for lack of space.
I curled up tighter on my bed, my wings over my face were doing nothing, the light was shining through the feathers and thin skin attached to my own.
I forced myself into a sitting position, the same wave of pain and nausea hit me. but  stayed sitting, as to let my body fight it off. 
All i could do was weakly throw my legs over the side of my bed.
I was careful, i landed on my right foot. 
The injured one.
The severely injured one.
Despite the wave of pain that hit the line of stiches going up my ankle and calf, i fell. but not because of that.
Because of a wave of pure dizziness that washed over me.
It only made the nausea worse.
I just laid there, and curled up, wanting to cry but not having the energy to.
Joel came in soon after "You okaaa- whats wrong,?!" he said, quickly changing his tone and coming to my side 
"c...col.. *coughing* cold..." i mumbled, my throat spiked in pain.
"Your exhausted- probably from those stupid long hours last night. Get back in bed." He stated, kinda panicked 
I didnt respond, i just closed my eyes.
I felt arms wrap around me as i was lifted into the air. I assumed it was still joel, i was correct.
The sudden change in level got me feeling really weird, i still didnt attempt to talk.
I felt my body rest against the mattress.

I felt a warm jacket be wrapped around my shoulders, aswell as thick blankets
I fell asleep quickly. 

{Joels POV}

odd he just fell like that.. i wonder what he was doing? or why he was so tired and unresponsive.. its probably just the late hours last night. right? .. yeah.

I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. Xornoth and Owen were talking to joey, distracted so i just slipped out. but scott was still on my mind.
"hi joel!!" i heard shelby yell from our little meetup spot where our whole group was sat "hey guys!" i called, smiling
"ey mate, wanna hear my new guitar solo, pretty sick right pixlman?!" Oli said excitedly
"no. its not 'pretty sick' oli, you kept me, jimmy, sausage and fwhip up until four thirty in the morning." Pix stated annoyed 
"Again oli-?" i said 
"Yeahh but the songs good right mates?!" he stated, almost yelled
"..." jimmy was silent. fwhip aswell. 
"it was something!" sausage spoke
"Theres the spirit Mr. Tay number three!" oli said smirking at what he called sausage, sausage and fwhip frowned and looked at gem who looked p!ssed off.
"Look, oli, just because it went my father, then fwhip, then sausage doesnt mean hes the third alright? yes he was the third male tay in our immediate family when we adopted him, but he means the world to us and is our sibling, hes no less than any of us." Gem stated
"...yes maam." oli said, kinda scared of what wouldve happened if he popped a joke
"i feel as if i came at the wrong time..." i said backing up jokingly
shelby jolted up from her seat and grabbed my wrist
"IF IM SITTING THROUGH THIS SO ARE YOU JOEL." she said pulling me into a seat 
"oh.. good god of jeremyism..." i spoke
"NO, NO JOEL. JEREMYISM IS DEAD. NO MORE. GONE. DECEASED. FOREVER UNDERGROUND, DO NOT. AND I MEAN DO. NOT. BRING THAT BACK. NEVER!!!" lizzy yelled
"okaaaaay.." i said, smirking
"Mrs. Solidairity Shadow. Quiet. no yelling in the halls, only speaking." a teacher said sternly
"Sorry Miss. Brunner, wont happen again!" She said fixing her posture
"Good, i trust you elizabeth." she spoke, walking away
"god that was scary..." lizzie complained
"says mrs goody two shoes..." jimmy uttered
"says mr teachers pet." lizzy joked
"says the theater kid!" jimmy fought

"For a very specific blonde ow-" lizzie got cut off by jimmys hand slapping against her face

"not again- please not againnn-" pix said facepalming
"is it that bad-?" i asked

"oh god.. i have the sudden feeling i do not want to know." I stated
"you really donn-" jimmys mouth was covered by the base of olis guitar smacking jimmy dead in the face 
"OWWWW-" jimmy screeched at the sudden hit
people were holding back laughter some were seriously concerned
"Sorry mate! but anywayssss.!! aaaaaaaAooooAAAAAAOOOOOOaaaaaaaoooooAAAAAAA-" pixs hand quickly covered olis mouth as soon as he began to make noise, a terrible screeching noise, which, if you knew oli you were used to.
"i- dont wanna hear the rest..." i muttered 
"jim- are you okay-?" gem asked
"oh gemini, im SPLENDID for just getting wacked in the face with a guitar" jimmy said before we all laughed 
"no im actually fine i swear- ide be crying if i wasnt-" jimmy spoke laughing along with us 
i felt my phone vibrate in my bag so i pulled it out just to see

"oh, it was just joey asking where i was" i replied giving my girlfriend a warm smile and kissing her on the cheek
"okay!" she said cheerfully ruffling my hair
my phone then rang i looked at it 
"welp im probably dead" i said 
"why? who is it?" gem asked
"Xor-" i said 
"he lets you call him xor?" pix stated
"yeah, we've grown to be more 'acquaintances' living together" i said smiling

"JOEL WHY DIDNT YOU INTERRUPT MY DAMN CONVERSATION TO TELL ME?!" xornoth yelled
"You were deep into a conversation and more than likely wouldve punched me if i did interrupt" i stated, getting looks from everyone as to what i was talking about
"SO YOU WERENT GOING TO TELL ME YOU FOUND MY BROTHER TACTICALLY UNCONSIOUSLY SHIVERING ON HIS BEDROOM FLOOR!?" xornoth yelled, that time they heard.
"Look, im not thinking much of it, he worked until technically one in the morning, in the middle of winter, think about it for a second." I said frowning
"I DONT CARE JOEL! WHAT IF ITS SOMETHING MORE AND WE DIDNT FIND HIM WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE THEN?!" he yelled at me again, this time louder.
"Xornoth im sorry alright? i didnt know what to do myself! i fvck!ng panicked okay?! i was scared! not just because of scott, of what you wouldve done! and here i had the right to that as here you are fvck!ng screaming at me!!" i said, getting worried looks from our group, i just turned away
"I DO NOT FVCK!NG CARE!!!! OKAY?! im sorry.. alright.? just.. tell me. next time.. hopefully there isnt one though.." he said, getting quieter after his apology 
"its alright Xor okay? you were scared. Have you checked on him?" I asked
"yeah.. pretty much unconsious right now, luckily he stopped shivering after a bit, thanks for helping him the best you could.. and sorry for yelling again.." xornoth said, i moved the phone away and turned it on speaker so i could still hear
"of course, i assume youll stay with him just incase?" i said, now smiling subtly 
"yeah.. ill update you as time goes on okay?" xornoth said
"sounds good with me!" i said cheerfully

{Scotts POV}

i blinked my eyes open into just pure light, it stung. bad. I felt my fringe sticking to my forehead as i pushed them back wiping the layer of sweat as i forced myself to sit up throwing the blankets off my body, i immediately felt cold.
but im sweating.. how am i cold? i thought to myself grabbing a blanket and throwing it over my shoulders. i stood up for a mere second before falling harshly into my bedframe, i hissed and arched my back in pain after hitting it harshly on the thick metal.
I sat there, now out of breath as it knocked the wind out of me, despite already feeling dizzy. The door then creeked open 
"Oh! your awake, but why are you on the floor?" Xornoth spoke 
"..'e..ll.." i tried to talk but my words were broken and scratchy 
"your voice doesnt sound good. worse than last night.." he mutterd, approaching me
"your also pale as sh!t" he added
i couldnt reply, my voice just didnt work
"Do you feel alright.?" he mumbled, i shook my head, falling into his chest

i felt him grab my shoulders as he pushed me back, i felt his warm fingers graze my forehead
"holy sh!t.. your burning up, no wonder your so pale." he spoke worried. I then felt him pick me up, and place me gently back down onto my bed
"stay right here.. ill be back." he said, i weakly nodded
he came back around a minute later with an ice pack and a small, wet towel. he continued to place both on my forehead. I relaxed at the chill against my skin. i opened my eyes for a second, and saw my brother, smiling down at me, i weakly smiled back before shifting to get comfortable.
"Rest, for me?" he asked
i hummed in response, closing my eyes once more

Scott stayed ill with a decent fever that calmed down after about a week, xornoth stayed to take care of him occasionally swapping out with cleo, scotts best friend and partial mother figure. Joel wasnt annoying, oli was, kept trying to perform his song, pix reported oli to the principle at the end of the week for being a b!tch.
cleo and xornoth with the occasional joel or owen took care of scott all week (joey didnt give a sh!t) He thanked them yet apologized at the end of the week once he was better for being an 'inconvenience' typical. they told him it was alright and theyd always be there, more fluff and sh!t and YAY summary ended
