All for one and one for all

I walked along side Yew down the city streets. The streets decorated in sheets of white from the falling snow of the winter. Ice cycles above our heads as they glistened from the pale sunlight. The grey clouds blocking out most of the suns bright gaze. The ice and snow under our boots crunching as we walked.

I looked over at Yew who had his face buried in a book like always. His purple scarf wrapped around his neck. The bottom of his chin buried in the soft fabric and his eyes shining as he read. His crystal guard uniform hugging his body tightly and white freckled the bottom of his pants. I starred at him for a moment as white snowflakes landed in his hair.

He was always like this. He is nothing really special to look at, actually he was pretty plain. He had brown hair and only went to my chest. He was almost as pale as the snow around him, the most attractive thing about him was his eyes. His eyes were a shade of blue that I couldn't describe. They were bluer than most oceans, and more simple than the bluest gems. They were beautiful and alluring.

These facts aside however he always seems to get the attention of everyone. He always seems to take even the proudest mans breath away. I would never understand how he was able to do this without even realizing it. I sighed and shook my head closing my eyes. I would never understand how someone so smart could be so oblivious.

He's so irritating in that sense. He is so simple and yet so complicated at the same time. I have known him for many years and I still can't solve the puzzle called Yew Geneolgia. Nor do I have the desire to. I guess being around someone like him makes this game we call life more interesting. What will make this life more pleasurable however, will be the day he falls at my sword.

I hate Yew Geneolgia. I hate everything about the man that walks along side me. I want nothing more than to cut him down and feel the pleasurable thrill of revenge. A feeling I have been waiting to feel for many years. I have been patient for way to long and it is starting to run thin. I opened my eyes and looked at Yew once more who continued to read. So oblivious. So innocent. So gullible. Hard to believe that he still lives after fighting a battle.

"Janne," he said my name breaking my train of thought and I looked at him for a moment. My heart raced in my chest as he looked at me and I looked away.

" What do you want Yew?," I said and he smiled and closed his book and looked at his feet. They were buried in the thick white and he kicked up snow as he walked making it splatter my pants. I rolled my eyes used to this childish behavior.

" You were just quite that's all," he said and smiled once more. " You are usually a lot more talkative. You always have to get your word in before," he finished and I rolled my eyes trying to ignore him. I stopped for a moment and thought about what he just said.

" Wait a minute. What's that suppose to mean?," I looked at him and crossed my arms annoyed by his comment. He smiled at me once more and laughed as he tried to find a reasonable answer. I shook my head deciding not to continue on with the conversation. Yew ran ahead of me and I stood there for a moment before following his lead.

The snow crunching under my feet and the cold wind pounding my face. Feeling as if a million shards of metal were stabbing my face. Yew turned a corner and I followed my feet slipping causing me to almost fall over. I caught myself on the lamp post and slung myself off of it. The cold metal stinging my hand as I ran after yew who was laughing. My heart pounded in my ears and my own breath made my vision blurry.

" Yew! Wait up!," I yelled and he laughed louder and turned a corner and ran into Yew who had stopped. I wrapped my arms around his waist as we both fell down a hill screaming. The snow hitting our facing causing them to chill and our bodies smashing against one another. I squeezed yew tightly and my nose went numb as my face hit the ground. We slowly stopped and I laid on top of yew breathless.

My uniform laid on top of us like a blanket and yews heart beat was in my ear. My face on top of yews chest and his hot breath was against my forehead. Snow covered my face and powdered my hair looking like flour. I was panting as I laid on him enjoying this newly found warmth. Yew laid under me in the same exact condition. He laughed and looked down at me and I looked up at him.

" That was fun," he said and I rolled my eyes and stopped as Nikolai slowly walked over and looked at us in concern.

" I will say this once and only once," he said and we looked at him. " Birth control". We both opened our mouths to speak but no words came out. Yews face turned red and I shot a death glare. " I will say it once more for good measure birth control". I flung myself off of yew and glared at him and opened my mouth to speak but wasn't able to get the words out.

Yew stood up behind me and I bit my lip. This was the brave Crystal Cavaliers. More commonly known as the crystal guard. The team I have been with for as long as I could remember. Together we were almost like a family. Here it is all for one and all for one.
