Invasion of the Amalgam Empire

A man in yellow robes sat on a mountain, he gazed upon the many people who labored and the many people that relaxed in the area. Truly, the land was a place of peace. There were no quarrels, no fighting. There was only stagnation. While it was a simplistic and boring life compared to that of his past. It was peace. Xuangye sat on his mountaintop, gazing upon those below him as they continued living their lives. Suddenly, however, there was a great trembling in the ground. It shook violently like a poplar tree. " What is this..." He thought to himself, the event reminding him of the destruction the Yellow River had inflicted onto his people so long ago.

Not only did the ground shake and tremble, but the sky did as well. A large opening in the sky went forth to reveal...a large vessel. It was unlike anything that the Manchurian had ever seen. His eyes widened in horror as the flying, metal vessel entered the atmosphere, a large shockwave then shot forth from it, causing the man to black out.

...

Chang Amakasa was taking a stroll down the street on his commute from school to home. The boy was an average Asian American, usually wearing some sort of denim while he was outside. The young man possessed short, brown hair and was of a fairly thin build. There was nothing truly remarkable about his appearance. If one were to see him in a crowd, one would have a hard time identifying him. He scratched his head as yet another uneventful day had passed by. Schooldays began to blend in and time was blurry to him. It was a simple life, but a peaceful one. He was unpacking one of his lunches as he sat on a bench, eating his food as he smiled brightly. " The schooldays keep blending in faster and faster...by the time I'm in senior year, the decades are going to feel like seconds..." He thought to himself, letting out a sigh as he ate, watching other teenagers play in the park with eachother.

He heard the bus that he took home beginning to approach, albeit still somewhat far away from where he stood, when he went to take out the remains of his meal. However, from a glance as he began to discard his trash into a black, metal, bin, he noticed something in the very corner of his eye, it was a strange container of sorts. He went forwards and knelt down to get a better look at it, realizing it was a small, silver, box. He went down to grasp the box. He grasped it firmly, and watched as a yellow engraving formed on his hand. " W-What the hell..." He muttered, jumping back as the engraving took the shape of kanji, further contorting to form some sort of imperial seal on his hand.

Suddenly, Chang felt a bright light envelop him. He found himself transported to a wide, blue vortex, floating through the air. Below him, droves upon droves, a seemingly endless parade began to march. They were dressed akin to those who lived in imperial China. The instruments and clothing in their possession was extraordinarily extravagant. Before Chang could admire any further, a large, crimson gate opened up, thrusting him into a new world. He landed in a grassy field, upon a hill. Surrounding him were many trees. Two men walked into the area, adorned in military dress uniforms. They muttered something to eachother as they looked upwards towards Chang, approaching him soon after. " Sir, you are out past curfew...we're going to have to ask for your identification and escort you to the nearest settlement " Pido, the taller of the duo stated, the sentence sounding as if it had been rehearsed a thousand times before.

Chang gulped and panicked as he didn't know what to do. He began to back away slowly as he looked towards the tall man. " Listen, I don't know where I am or how I got here..." He tried to explain, shaking his hands as Pido simply continued to approach, only to suddenly stop and reach into his pocket...

He pulled out a similar metal box in his hands and grinned. " I'll escort you safely to the nearest city...if you can beat me that is..." Pido offered, laughing lightly as his associate, Zelif, knocking over his hat with a nudge.

The removal of the head dress allowed for Chang to get a better glimpse at his face. It was very effeminate without his hat to mask it, he could have very well been a woman all together, but being a person of few words he said nothing as he picked up his hat and placed it back upon his head. Turning his attention back to the box, Chang got out his own in response, hoping for something to happen. " It seems wherever you come from...they've got decks as well..." Pido stated, placing the silver box on his wrist as several insect-like appendages emerged from its bottom-side, wrapping around it tightly.

Chang grasped his metal box and allowed it to attach itself to his wrist, it was a cold and unfamiliar sensation, and not one he was too big of a fan of. " A deck? Does he want to play some sort of game or something? " He thought to himself, a large circle of energy formed around them in the shape of an imperial seal, which soon faded into the ground.

" Emperor's Edict! Yang Guang! " Pido exclaimed, his military dress uniform fading into a white energy as he was soon enveloped in dark blue and white robes, his clothing flowing slightly in the burst of energy he had created.

The teenager grunted as he stumbled back slightly. He raised his hand into the air, attempting to imitate him. " Emperor's Edict! " He shouted, as a white energy appeared on his body, golden robes and a red hat replacing his school clothes, however, no burst of energy was even somewhat visible.

Pido scratched his chin as he let out a sigh. " You really aren't from here...you don't even know the name of the Emperor Deck you draw power from? " He asked, it was clear that now his power would be significantly weaker than that of Pido's own due to this.

The soldier pulled out a card from his person. " Weapon Card! Emperor's Dagger! " He shouted as he looked towards the card, said weapon materializing in his hand.

Pido immediately began to charge towards Chang with little patience for him to continue, however, the teenager dashed out of the way of the oncoming attack. He reached into his deck and pulled out a card. " Weapon Card...Emperor's Blade! " He shouted, raising his weapon defensively as Pido repeatedly struck it soonafter.

Chang was quickly overwhelmed, being pushed back immensely as Pido dashed behind him suddenly, delivering a brutal blow to his back and proceeding to kick him into the ground. " Pathetic...you didn't even make me break a sweat..." The soldier muttered, a flash of white light encompassing him once more as his robes were replaced with his uniform again.

The teenager fell on the ground, covered in his robes as he clutched the dirt beneath him as tightly as he could. He felt his backside get wet as he began to bleed out. He tried crawling towards a nearby stream in order to get some water, but like an ant, Pido simply kicked him in the head and causing him to drop to the ground, helpless. As the two walked away, Chang's eyes grew weary, trying to stay awake, he moved as little as possible, simply looking to the blue sky above. His eyelids crashed over him as his view of the world blackened...

Chang opened his eyes many hours later, finding himself in a white room...
