Ch. 2 What happened?

Pacha rubbed his chocolate brown eyes, thinking he was still half asleep. He looked at his surroundings, seeing no one at the beach or even a ship on the Ocean. He looked at the beautiful little girl with mixed emotions since he didn't know how the child came to be in his boat.

Pacha slowly approached the beautiful little girl since he didn't want to frighten her since she was sleeping. He put his fishing supplies on the boat and gently placed his hands on the child's shoulders.

" Hello? Are you okay?" Pacha speaks in Quechua. He gently shakes the beautiful little girl, wanting to ensure she is okay.

Pacha's chocolate brown eyes widened, and he held his breath when he saw the beautiful little girl open her eyes, revealing an ocean-like blue color.

" Dada?" The beautiful little girl speaks, causing Pacha to look relieved.

" Where are your parents?" Pacha asked in Quechua.

The beautiful little girl stared at Pacha as though she understood what he was saying. She turned her gaze to the Ocean and saw the Sun begin to rise.

" Dada! Mama!" The beautiful little girl points to the Ocean and the Sun where she last saw her parents.

Pacha looked forward and saw the Sunrise greeting them.

Pacha looked at the beautiful little girl with a curious gaze. He noticed her hair was a mix between a Sunrise and a Sunset. However, her eyes were that of the Ocean, a color mixed between blue and green. Even her skin tone was different than his, paler, like the fluffy clouds in the sky.

" I could fish for another day," Pacha murmured. " Or get fish at the market." He speaks, seeing the beautiful little girl look at him and smile.

" I should have Chicha look at her to see she has no injuries under those clothes," Pacha rubbed his chin.

" Hey. What is your name?" Pacha asked the beautiful little girl.

The beautiful little girl adorably tilts her head. She remembered her mother calling her Sunlight.

" Sun! Sun-Light!" The beautiful little girl speaks the same language as Pacha.

" Lucia?" Pacha raised an eyebrow. In his native language, the name Lucia means Light or Sunlight.

The beautiful little girl's ocean-like blue eyes sparkled, thinking her mother was nearby since her name was Lucille. She nodded, causing Pacha to smile.

" Okay, Lucia. I am going to take you to my home. My wife, Chicha, will look over you so that we know you are not hurt." Pacha speaks.

Lucia held her small arms out to Pacha, letting him know she wanted him to carry her.

Pacha's gaze softened, finding Lucia adorable. He picks her up and holds her carefully in his arms.

" Are you hungry? Chicha and I can make you something yummy to eat." Pacha speaks, wanting Lucia to feel comfortable.

Lucia's stomach growled at the mention of food. She looked at her stomach and lightly patted it, causing Pacha to chuckle in amusement.

" I take that as a yes." Pacha softly smiled.

Pacha hid Lucia underneath his cloak to protect the child from the Ocean breeze and prying eyes of the Villagers.

Lucia snuggled against Pacha, feeling comforted in the older male's embrace.

Pacha left the beach and walked towards the beachside Village filled with people very devoted to the Inca Gods. He warily looked at his surroundings while holding Lucia in a protective embrace.

Lucia peaked and looked at her surroundings with curiosity.

" Hello, Pacha!" Several Villagers greet their Leader's eldest son while doing their usual routine.

" Hello. Hello." Pacha quickly greeted them while heading home to his wife, Chicha, who was waiting for him to come home.

" Hey, Honey." Pacha opens the door and greets Chicha.

" In the kitchen. Back already with the fish?" Chicha asked.

Pacha entered the house and closed the door. He walks towards the kitchen and sees his beautiful wife, Chicha, a twenty-two-year-old female with black hair and chocolate brown eyes, making tea.

" I. Um. Did not go fishing today." Pacha responded, causing Chicha to turn around and stare at her husband.

" Everything alright?" Chicha asked.

Lucia poked her head out of Pacha's cloak when she smelt the delicious tea scent. It reminded her of the tea her parents usually drink on the ship.

Chicha's chocolate brown eyes blinked when she saw Lucia for the first time.

" What happened?" Chicha softly asked. She didn't want to scare Lucia by shouting at Pacha.

" I found Lucia at the beach. Specifically my fishing boat." Pacha explained while looking at Lucia.

" Lucia?" Chicha raised an eyebrow.

Lucia smiled when she heard her name.

" Yeah. The kid's name is Lucia." Pacha responded.

Chicha walks toward Pacha, and she softly smiles at Lucia. " Hello, there, Lucia. My name is Chi-cha." She introduced herself.

Lucia's ocean-like blue eyes intently stared at Chicha's friendly chocolate brown eyes.

" Chi!" Lucia brightly smiled.

" Yeah." Chicha nodded.

" Chicha. Are you okay with watching over Lucia for me? I am going to the market and get us three something to eat." Pacha held Lucia to Chicha.

Chicha's chocolate brown eyes blinked when she saw that Lucia had fire-like red hair, Ocean-like blue eyes, and fair skin. She hummed when she saw that the little girl was wearing royal attire.

" Where are her parents?" Chicha asked while taking Lucia and holding her.

Pacha lightly bites his lips. He remembered Lucia pointing at the Sun and Ocean and calling them her parents.

" You will think I am crazy. But Lucia's parents are Lord Inti and Mama Cocha." Pacha responded.

Chicha raised an eyebrow. " Go to the market and get us food. I will bathe Lucia and check for any injuries." She speaks. She turns around and walks towards the bathroom with Lucia in her embrace.

Lucia's Ocean-like blue eyes blinked when she saw Pacha waving at her and leaving the house. " Be good, Lucia! I will be back." He reassured while closing the door.

Chicha enters the bathroom and puts Lucia down. She turns to the stone bathtub, grabs a wooden handle, and begins to pump water, watching it fill up the bathtub. She lets go and looks at the little girl with a friendly gaze.

" Okay, Lucia. I am going to help you take off your clothes." Chicha softly smiled.

Lucia nodded. She held her hands above her head, letting Chicha carefully pull the beautiful dress off her.

Chicha takes off Lucia's undergarments and carries her to the stone bathtub. She gently puts her down and grabs a wooden bucket, pouring water in it and then dumping it on the child's head.

Lucia shivered, feeling the cold water on her head and body. However, she enjoyed it. She closed her Ocean-like blue eyes, unaware that Chicha was eyeing her body for injuries.

Chicha's chocolate brown eyes blinked and widened when she saw a mark on the right side of Lucia's back. It reminded the older female of the Sun and Ocean.

" You will think I am crazy. But Lucia's parents are Lord Inti and Mama Cocha." Chicha remembered what Pacha said, causing her to look at Lucia with mixed emotions.

" The Gods graced us, their devoted followers, with their beloved Child." Chicha softly speaks while gently brushing the mark with her right finger.

Lucia giggled, finding the brushing on her back ticklish. She opened her Ocean-like blue eyes and turned to look at Chicha.

Chicha's chocolate brown eyes intently stared at Lucia's Ocean-like blue eyes.

" Mama Chi?" Lucia called out.

Chicha held her breath when she heard Lucia call her Mama. She turns her gaze to the window and looks to the Ocean.

" Thank you, Mama Cocha. For allowing me to be the one to raise your beloved daughter. I assure you I will love and care for her as though she were my own." Chicha closed her chocolate brown eyes and prayed to the Inca Ocean Goddess.

Once Chicha finished praying, she continued to bathe Lucia. A few minutes later, she unclogged the stone bathtub and watched the water get drained. She grabs a fluffy towel and wraps it around the child, carrying her out of the bathroom.

' I need to talk seriously with Pacha when he gets home.' Chicha internally speaks while holding Lucia securely and walking towards her and Pacha's bedroom. ' But first, where can I get clothing for a child? Pacha and I don't even have kids yet.' She frowned while looking at the little girl with a curious gaze.
