1963 - 3 years after Parkers Arrival

Diego's P.O.V.

"Okay, who else would like to share? anyone? come on whos next?" the doctor spoke "Diego, you've been awfully quiet this morning" he targetted Diego making him groan softly

"just taking it all in doc, letting all the healing shit wash over me"

"Last week you mentioned your father, how your childhood felt like some kind of experiment"

"It was an experiment" Diego grumbled

"let's dig deeper, you say your father is a villain, so you had to play hero to make daddy mad?" the doctor spoke making Lila laugh from beside Diego making him glare at her making her stop laughing

"im a grown-ass man, dr Moncton--" Diego started

"who still defines himself in opposition to his father, his dead father, that isn't really defining yourself is it Diego?"

"Yeah, why don't you tell that to Luke skywalker?" everyone looked to him in confusion " i know you don't get it but that is an excellent reference" he mumbled "parker would have loved that" he grunted looking down slightly

"humour is good, truth is better" the doctor responded, "who is the real Diego and who is parker?"

"i don't know, not without her... but im ready to find out" he trailed, as Lila dramatically clapped at him with a smug look on her face

"thank you Diego, quiet time until lunch" the doctor announced walking away from the group talking to a nurse

"you're so full of shit" Lila whispered to him making him clench his teeth at her

"tears too much?" Diego joked

"he saw right through it, and now he knows about parker too..."

"no he totally ate that shit up" Diego spoke ignoring the parker comment

"bet you three lunch jell-Os you're wrong"

"you're on" he commented walking over to the doctor again "dr Moncton, do you have a sec?"

"sure Diego what is it?"

"I've been doing a lot better lately haven't i?"

"True, you're calmer now and talking more about yourself, who is this parker that you mentioned today?"

"that doesn't matter, so when do you think im getting out of here?" he deflected the question about Parker

"your review board will reassess your case in 90 days"

"90 days, i can't wait that long, you don't understand they are going to kill the president!" Diego spoke louder

"Diego i thought we moved past this" the doctor sighed "you know what a hero complex is?"

"yeah it's for assholes who think they're actual heroes" Diego started to shout latching on to the doctor grabbing his pen from his pocket, a security came closer to him grabbing onto his shoulders threatening him with a baton "im sorry. look im okay" Diego raised his hands in defence and sat back down close to Lila who was smugly smiling at him.

"God this is stupid!" Diego huffed dropping the bracelet he was making in his hands.

"This will cheer you up" Lila spoke pulling a strip of bacon from her shoe

"bacon?"

"smuggled it out of lunch, you want some?" she asked making Diego look at her in disgust at the shoe bacon

"i was saving it for your great escape to run and find parker but..."

"what are you talking about?" Diego perked up

"im just saying whatever it is your planning i can be very resourceful, i might know where to find parker" she smiled

"do you know where to find parker?" Diego huffed in anger

"no, but i can find out" she grinned ignoring his hard stare

"even if i was planning something which i am not, you would be the last person i would take"

"is it because of the Jell-Os right? you can have them back"

"no it's not because of the jell-" he stopped "im a lone wolf, i don't run with the pack" he spoke

"so what about your undying love for parker then, you're a lone wolf with her as well? some great boyfriend, im sure she misses you" she smirked

"stop talking about her okay, she's not here" he spoke loud alerting some of the guards to look in his direction making him look down

"hargreeves, you have a visitor" a guard spoke

"who?"

"i ain't your secretary"

"maybe its parker trying to rescue you !" Lila teased making Diego darkly glare at her making her raise her hands in innocence.

"piss off" he spat mimicking her British accent

Diego walked into the small visitor room noticing five sat at the table smiling softly at him

"five"

"hey Diego, you look good in white" he commented as Diego sat on the chair looking at him in slight confusion

"about time you showed up"

"how you know id be back?"

"because that's the kind of shit you pull" Diego commented leaning closer to him

"where are the others?" five spoke making Diego look at him with a frown

"they're not with you... parker?" he breathed in sadness

five looked at his brother and shook his head at the mention of parker, "well find them" he muttered, "how long have you been here?"

"seventy-five days, landed in the alley behind commerce and knox" Diego spoke as five said the same place in which he landed

"I got here this morning" five announced

"How did you find me?" Diego asked as Five pulled out a page reading it out loud

"disturbed man with multiple knives arrested outside 1026 N. Beckley, that's Lee Harvey Oswald's house, care to explain?" five spat

"let's just say Dallas law enforcement has not been supportive of my attempt to stop the assassination of John F Kennedy" Diego let out a small chuckle looking to his brother

"because it hasn't happened yet"

"and it's not going to happen, Not on my watch"

"I thought your main priority was parker?" five smirked

"she is, and when i find her she will agree with me and help me prevent the assassination"

"no she won't, she would see right through hat bullcrap and stop you in an instant" five spoke making Diego glare

"look I've been shaving down the bars in my room, another day or two and ill be out of this place, and im going to find Parker and we are going to stop Oswald and save the president, you want in say the word"

"im not into joining your fantasy of you and parker saving the world and quite frankly i know parker would agree with me" five looked to him "you are not going to do a goddamn thing because we have to stop the apocalypse"

"no shit, but that doesn't happen for another 60 years"

"not that apocalypse, this is a new one, it followed us and I've seen it, nuclear war Diego in 10 days" five whispered which made Diego lean back and start to laugh

"and im the one locked up, fine ill play along, what causes it?"

"i don't know, maybe some looney-tuned asshole with a hero complex tried to save the president and screwed everything up"

"so you're saying it worked?" Diego spoke intrigued on his plan "i saved the president, i knew i could do it! okay okay ill help you" Diego spoke with his hands in fists "after i save Kennedy, and then you can take us back a few decades so i can slit Hitler's throat with a butter knife"

"This is why you don't have any friends, i really don't know how Parker puts up with you, you know what? Guard, my brother is plotting an escape, the bars of his room has been shaved down," five spoke standing up

"you piece of shit" Diego shouted as guards forced him down onto the table

"This is for your own good Diego" five spoke "listen my brother is a very sick man please help him" he began to walk out "ill find parker and the others myself" he announced to Diego as Diego thrashed and yelled as they injected him with a needle.

Parker's P.O.V.

you had been with Klaus for 3 years as you followed him across the country with his cult until he grew bored of them and ran away with you and ben, you couldn't see or hear ben but you could feel his presence especially when they started to fight in the middle of a road

"Klaus do you realise how ridiculous you look right now, no one can see ben so you are fighting with the air!" you huffed leaning against the car as another car drove by looking at Klaus beating the air in confusion "don't do drugs!" you shouted to the car making the man look to you in disgust. Klaus continued to thrash about in the air, "you know what no" you huffed picking klaus up from the ground pulling him away from beating up Bens ghost

"let me at him Parker" Klaus started to run back to the open air but you pulled his arm making him huff "okay. OKay!" he pushed you gently off him calming himself

"you really need to stop fighting with him Klaus" you smirked "you too ben! i can't see you but this is you too don't think your safe" you pointed to beside Klaus

"He's actually standing next to you," Klaus pointed, making you jump slightly looking at the air.

"i don't care" you mocked him and started to walk away

"where are you going!" Klaus shouted

"well the car isn't working so we're gonna have to walk" you shouted back as he came running after you

the three of you ended up in a bar filled with men making you cower slightly at the men in front of you. you quickly paced to the bar ordering a strong shot of alcohol as Klaus was called over by one of the men playing poker.

you shotted the alcohol and fiddled with you bracelet thinking of Diego, "where are you.." you trailed feeling the scar on your face from his knife and the scar from when you were kidnapped and your blood was taken making you flinch slightly in memory.

"you got sticky fingers" you heard an older voice grumble from Klaus' direction and you stood up rushing to his side making the men look to you

"and crazy IBS its a miracle im sitting down" Klaus smiled earning him a punch from the man knocking him down slightly. you groaned in annoyance as you caused the men pain making them groan and drop to the ground giving you time to run out

"Sorry! my friend is a bit crazy, time travelling changes you" you smiled stopping their pain as Klaus pulled your arm running out of the building pressing the keys to see which car was open

"shit which one" he grunted as one of the cars flashed

"Get your ass back here you little shit!" the men erupted from the bar chasing you as you jumped in the front seat of the car

"start driving" you yelled as the men came closer and started to bang on the metal of the car as Klaus sped off biting on the men as he put his arm through the window. You both began to laugh at what just happened and huffed as oxygen re-entered your lungs.

"see, you cant do this stuff with Diego" Klaus joked

"yeah, well usually he doesn't steal cars!" you laughed

Diego's P.O.V.

Diegos eyes were bloodshot as he tried to get the straight jacket off of him. his arms came undone and he thrashed himself against the door trying to get it open, he remembered the pen he stole from the doctor and shoved it into the keyhole unlocking the door quietly sneaking out of the room.

he ran through the corridors before being noticed by one of the male staff "hargreeves, what are you doing out here?" he spoke in disbelief

"im sleepwalking" Diego spoke coming closer to him before throwing a punch which the man dodged and pinned Diego to the floor

"like to run your mouth smart ass, it's gonna be hard after i break your jaw" the man threatened pulling out his baton. but his body collapsed after a clang was heard, revealing Lila as she smashed his head with metal laughing

"Lila?"

"you're not the only one who wants out wolfman!" she smirked lifting Diego up from the ground

"watch my shoulder" he groaned

"come on let's go get your girl" she smiled to him as he reminded himself of Parker before Lila pulled his arm putting it back into place making him groan as she pulled him along the corridors.

they turned a corner and saw 3 men lift their guns to them making them run back the other way as bullets flew through the air making Lila scream

"go go!" Diego spoke running

"Who are those guys!" Lila shouted

"no idea" Diego replied running into another room pressing a buzzer

"what the hell are you stopping for?"

"We need a distraction!" Diego started to run again as all the rooms were unlocked making patients walk out into the open hallways

"Follow me" He ran through the halls before bumping hard into 2 guards throwing them to the floor

"three men just tried to attack us" Lila gasped

"get you hands up now!" one of the guards shouted pointed his gun at the both of them

"wait you don't understand were not the bad guys," Diego grunted from the ground

"shut your mouth and stay on the ground" the guard looked to Diego giving Lila chance to kick him knocking him down and out cold

"where'd you learn to fight like that?"

"my mother" she spoke grabbing his arm pulling him out of the building climbing over the small metal gates.
