Amar Chitra Katha is the biggest comics publisher of India. It was founded by Anant Pai in 1967. Since then, it has filled the lives of different generations from my father to me with joys and moments of happiness.

Amar Chitra Katha means Immortal Picture Story.

The first time I read ACK comics, was a set of 5 comics combined under one banner or book. There were 2 of them. It was given to me by my maternal aunt & cousin. Since then, I started reading and loving it. I have read all the editions in English only, so it improved my vocabulary a lot, along with increasing my knowledge about my culture, history, heritage, and mythology.

I again got 2 more books of 5-in-1 from them. The 4 four books are showcased here in order!

ACK has published more than 500 comics while it started by buying the rights of 10 American classic tales and publishing them. The first Indian comic was Krishna ( the 11th comic ).
I have read around 130 of them! 

It is a very high-vocab-rich comic to read in your free time. I increased the reading of these books when there was Lockdown due to Covid-19 and my school librarian shared free PDFs of these books with us!

I miss reading these books really! While writing this, nostalgia is hitting me back again & again!
