Ill wave the white flag even though I didn't start the war

I was damaged and broken but you had to settle a score

We were strangers and I expected compassion and heart

I realized you can't force someone to find empathy from the start

I expected to much I just wanted fairness

I really just felt the situation was careless

For you it was easy to throw words like daggers

You felt nothing for me so it was easy when I staggered

This part isn't your fault it's mine by and by

I expect strangers to care at times I would try

You were a reflection a copy of my hurt

Your actions and quick anger put me on alert

You have lots of positives this much I know

You may have flaws but you try hard for caring to show
