Overall effect, completely gorgeous.

Having arranged to go on a date with Hunter was her idea, Stephanie was all ready to make her way downstairs, throw on her coat and race up the front door when the sound of a car horn honked outside. She peered out the window and saw Hunter's car parked on their curb outside her aunt and uncle's place.

"Well, that's Hunter... I should go get a move on. I'll be back at midnight. Bye, Emma."

"Bye, Stephanie, take care." she waved as her sister went out the door leaving her alone with her cousins. Aunt Caroline and Uncle Albert were at their neighbor's house down the streets. They said they will be back in a few hours.

Stephanie walked to Hunter's car and gave him a cheeky smile. "Hey, babe! Are you ready for our date? Wow, you look hot." he said nibbling on her earlobe.

"Eat your heart out..." she responded and gave him a kiss on the lips.

Hunter began to drive as he put on some music on his radio. When he was scanning the station, Bon Jovi was playing on the radio in full volume. "Babe, can you put this song a little louder please?"

Shot through the heart

And you're to blame

Darlin' you give love a bad name (bad name)

I play my part and you play your game

You give love a bad name (bad name)

You give love a bad name

Stephanie began to bop her head back and forth and flipped her hair side to side listening to the music. "Come on, Hunter dance with me." she smiled as she felt the music and pretending to shred an invisible guitar in her hands.

"Alright," he said as he stopped the car in the middle of the road and began jamming to the music with Stephanie.

"Say, are you ready to go to the movies with me?" Hunter asked softly.

"Yes, I'm ready... let's go. The show starts at eight." she said as she smiled at him.

Hunter nodded and began driving his car silently on the road.

"I drink because I am a sensitive and highly-strung person!" Goldie Hawn shouted at Bette Midler on the TV screen.

Emma was eating a bowl of popcorn while binge watching The First Wives Club as she took a sip of her apple juice in her hand. And as she was too invested in the movie, the doorbell rang at the door.

She went to the door and answered it. "Hey, James. Come in. What are you doing here?" she asked as she cocked her left eyebrow in confusion and moved aside to let James in. "Oh, is it wrong to come and pay you a visit? I could just go back if you want to." he said walking back towards the door and twist the doorknob in his hands when Emma stopped him in his tracks holding on his arms softly.

"No, stay. I'm sorry. I need you here," she said as she gripped onto James' shirt tightly and never let go.

"Okay, so... what have you been doing?" James asked as he slipped off his coat and walked towards the living room. "Just some Diane Keaton movies." she answered nonchalantly and took a seat beside James.

"Nice, is it The First Wives Club?" James asked, glancing at her.

"Yeah, how do you know?" she replied enthusiastically.

"Emma, of course I know the movie sweetie, we're both born in the nineties." he laughed and took a bite of some of the leftover popcorn in the bowl. She crossed her arms and continued watching the movie. "You know, I want to get to know you better. Is it okay, if I ask you some random questions?" Emma questioned eyeing at James.

"Sure, shoot." James said eyes glued to the television screen.

"Okay, what type of music do you listen to?" Emma questioned looking at him.

"Well, I listen more to Bryan Adams and anything that's related to oldies music." James answered.

"Wow, I didn't know you love Bryan Adams!" she chuckled.

"What else did you listen to?"

"Shania Twain, Janet Jackson, Prince, Madonna..."

"That makes sense. Now. That's enough about music. What about your full name? I always wanted to know your full name." she blushed shyly.

"Oh, you don't really want to know. It's kind of embarrassing though." James said looking down at the ground blushing. "But I will tell you anyways."

Emma looked at James and beamed. "Come on, don't be shy. I promise I won't tell anyone about your full name."

James looked at her and cocked an eyebrow. "Promise?" he asked in a soft voice. "Of course, you can trust me." Emma said as she placed a hand on his shoulders and nodded his head.

"Okay, it's James Patrick Arnold Douglas."

Emma was silent for a moment and looked at him with wide eyes. "That's your full name?"

"Yes, now enough about me, it's my turn to ask you questions." James beamed as he looked at Emma with glistening eyes.

"Who's your celebrity crush and why?" James questioned cheekily.

"Hmm, I have a lot... are we talking about boy bands or actual heartthrobs?" Emma questioned quizzically.

"Anything... who's your celebrity crush..."

"I always had a crush on Nick Carter and River Phoenix when I was a kid. But then I like Jared Leto and Leonardo DiCaprio. I don't know they're all so cute."

"And? What's your answer?" James questioned tossing another popcorn in his mouth.

"You." Emma grinned pointing at James nonchalantly.

"Me?" He said flabbergasted.

"Yes, you're my first crush." she laughed softly.

They cuddled up with a blanket and watched the movie together. "Popcorn?"

"Sure," she grinned and took popcorn from the bowl and tossed it in her mouth lightly.

"Bond... James... Bond..." Sean Connery said on the big screen vigorously while smoking on his cigarette.

Stephanie and Hunter were at Starlight Drive-In Movie Theater.

"Hey, you know what's weird about this James Bond movie?" Hunter said while taking a handful of popcorn in his hands and stuffed it in his mouth aggressively.

"I don't know, what's wrong with Sean Connery being James Bond?" Stephanie questioned in disbelief.

"I don't know, I don't think he's good at playing this character. I was hoping to be Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan to be honest. He looks so... what's the word I'm looking for?" Hunter asked as he snapped his fingers nonchalantly.

"Charming?" Stephanie cut off with a smile on her face.

"No..."

"Beautiful? Because he is actually." she beamed lightly.

"Aha, I got it... old." he replied glancing at Stephanie with an annoyed look on his face.

"Hey, he's hot. Is it wrong to love elderly men? I mean he's just a crush for God sake. My Aunt Aida adores him so much. Fine, if you don't like him then drive me home. I had enough arguing with you." Stephanie said as she looked away from Hunter.

Stephanie looked at him and huffed. "Well, drive me home moron. I had enough discussing about this stupid madness. I just want to go home!" Stephanie yelled at his boyfriend loudly as everyone in the parking lot could hear their heated argument.

Hunter started the engine and drove home quietly.

~~~~
"I guess I should go home now... I'll see you tomorrow, Emma. Bye!" James said as he walked towards the front door. He slipped on his coat and opened the door with Emma trailed behind him.
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow James!" she shouted at him as he got into his car and drove home.
Emma waved at the sight of his car and smiled walking back inside the house. She went to the kitchen and decided to make herself a cup of English tea. She filled the kettle with water and let it sit for a few minutes. Then she went back to the living room sitting on the couch and grabbed an Elle magazine and flipping through the pages quietly.
Suddenly, the door flung open and in walked Stephanie and Hunter with annoyed expressions on their faces, probably they were arguing on the way back home. "I can't believe you, Hunter. What's the matter with you?" Stephanie shouted at the top of her lungs and went upstairs to her room locking the door.
"I'm sorry Stephanie!" he shouted back from downstairs.
Emma glanced at Hunter and put down the magazine back on the coffee table. "What's the fuss about? Would you mind explaining it to me?" she asked, folding her arms against her chest in concern.
"We just seem to get on brilliantly, and the weird thing is, we have nothing in common! She hates all the films I love. I can't stand her taste in music. She's refusing to learn how to play the cello, and she thinks Sean Connery was the better James Bond than Pierce Brosnan. I mean, let's face it, how tragic is that?"
Emma hugged her knees with delight, as thrilled as if she'd engineered the entire situation herself. Upon meeting some potential boyfriend, Stephanie has always automatically turned herself into the kind of girl she thought he'd like her to be. Out went her own views and opinions, and in came an 'Oh, me too!' version of his. If she was involved with a man who was mad about motocross, Stephanie was instantly mad about it too. If she met one who played in a heavy metal band, she'd buy a heap of heavy metal CDs and actually convince herself that she loved them. Despite the fact that her favorite singer was Alanis Morrisette.
"And she said I got the worst fashion sense." Hunter was shaking his head, clearly appalled with her lack of taste. To be fair, the shirt was a plain white MTV logo with vibrant colored patterns on the fabric. He bought it at the Gap. Emma was with Stephanie on this one. "You might wear dodgy shirts," she said, soothingly, "but at least you don't have a secret stash of Ace Ventura videos hidden under your bed."
Oh yes, Stephanie was a closet Jim Carrey fan. She'd killed her for this.
But Hunter let out a whoop and exclaimed, "I'm mad about The Mask, it's the best."
"So that's one thing you have in common. You sad, sad couple."
Except they weren't, of course. Stephanie and Hunter were a happy, happy couple. Apart from one slight dilemma.
