As I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror, it began to fog up from the steam coming from the hot shower. I started to drown in shame, as I drifted out into another daze of seeing those flashing lights. Standing there in pain, it felt like I was living inside of a hurricane... like a storm ripping right through me, trying to flood out all possibilities to any type of normalcy.

As I started to undress, I took one last look at myself before stepping into the shower "What's wrong with you Emery...?" I whispered. The water pressure beating down on my body eased the pain and tension, as it massaged my muscles. My mind started to become calm and relaxed, while I stood under the water washing my hair and body, "Ugh... finally, it feels so good to be clean," I groaned.

Stepping out of the shower, I wrapped my towel around me as I began to walk down the hallway, heading towards my room. "You're going to mop this up right?" Jessica complained, as water dripped off of me wetting the floor.

"If you give me a minute I will," I replied, still aggravated from the conversation earlier.

As I walked into my bedroom, I closed the door behind me and sat down on the bed. How amazing it feels to be in silence I thought to myself, as I grabbed my pillow and laid down in the middle of the bed.
