"Wow!" he said, as he looked down at his watch. The time had flown by, and it was already 7:30 p.m.

"It's about that time for me to start getting ready for work," he sighed, "but I enjoyed hanging out with you today," he grinned, as he stood up and reached out his hand to help me up.

"I enjoyed myself as well," I assured him, with a smile.

"Good, I'm glad you did because I would like to see you again, I mean... if that's ok of course?" he asked, as we began to walk to the car.

"Sure, that's cool," I replied.

"Ok, great! well I'm free on Saturday, how about you?"

"Saturday...?" I repeated, as I took a minute to think, "actually, I am going to a bar that my roommate works at in town, they are supposed to be having a cover band that I wanted to check out, so if you want, you could meet me there," I suggested.

"I could definitely do that," he assured me, with a heavy grin.

"Ok cool, so I'll text you the details later..."

"That sounds good," he responded, as I sat down in my car.

"Well I hope you have a good night at work Carter," I said sincerely.

"Thanks," he replied.

"You're welcome," I smiled, while pulling off slowly.

As I looked back at him in my rearview mirror, I took a deep breath and thought to myself, God that wasn't easy.
