As I stripped my room looking for something to wear, I pictured Carter in my mind talking to me at the coffee shop. His dreamy eyes and breathtaking smile, I didn't know how I was going to be able to stand before him, and not freeze up again.

"Why did I let Jess talk me into this," I sighed out loud, as I placed my hand on my forehead, and fell back on to the bed.

Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, "You can do this Emery," I said, trying to convince myself. As I sat up staring into the closet, there was a black netted sweater that hung on a hanger, next to a pair of blue jeans. "Guess I'll be wearing that," I said, still talking out loud.

"Found something to wear yet?" Jessica wondered, as she entered my room and sat down on my bed.

"I think I'll wear this, It's ok right?" I asked, as I grabbed the clothing out of the closet.

"Yeah, that looks good," she smiled, "Isn't that your favorite sweater that hangs off of your shoulders?" she wondered.

"Yeah, it is..." I responded.

"Showing a little skin huh..." she said, as her smile turned into a cheesy grin.

"Whatever..." I replied back, with a shy smirk, "this is nuts you know," I continued on saying.

"Oh Em..." she chuckled.

"What? I'm just going to see him and get nervous again, and look totally stupid," I shook my head.

"Wow...!" she burst out laughing. "It's not that serious," she promised.

"Hmm..." I said under my breath, "and what do I even talk about with him?" I asked, completely clueless.

"Don't worry... he'll find something to talk about, you just let him lead, and you follow," she insisted. "Sheesh Em, you act like you've never done this before," she continued saying.

"It's been a minute Jess, you know that," I reassured her.

"True, well try not to worry about it too much, and you'll do just fine," she assumed.

"If you say so..." I replied sarcastically.
