Baekhyun finally wakes up feeling rather groggy and still quite tired. Sitting his head up a little he looks around the room noticing he is in one of the hospital rooms. "What the hell" he lays his head back down on the pillow trying to remember what has happened.

"You're awake , how are you feeling?" Minseok enters the room, closing the door behind him.

"Why am I here, was I working last night ? I'm so confused" 

" Baek you arrived here last night into the early hours of this morning in a taxi you were spiked"Minseok takes a seat on the edge of the bed touching his friend's hand as comfort.

"Wait so I made it here, nothing else happened to me. I wasn't raped was I Minseok. Please tell me I wasn't raped" Baekhyun begins to cry trying to sit up in bed as Minseok tries to relax him.

"Hey hey you are safe. You seemed to have known you were spiked and made yourself sick. The taxi brought you here and we looked after you. I ran all the tests there was no sign of rape so please try calm" Minseok watches as Baekhyun lays back looking up at the ceiling rather relieved.

"There is something else though baek" hearing the tone of Minseok's voice Baekhyun looks at him with a worried look.

"What is it Minseok, your starting to scare me now"

" Baekhyun, when did you have your last check up?"

"About a month or so ago and everything was fine. Why Minseok, what have you found?" Baekhyun uses all the strength he has right now and sits up in the bed.

"Here I'll let the chart tell you "

Taking the chart and opening to the page Minseok had opened, Baekhyun scans the page and closes the chart quickly and looks at Minseok with wide eyes.

"Tell me this is a joke Minseok and if it is it's a cruel one" Baekhyun holds the chart tight in his hands not believing what he just read.

"I am just as shocked as you baek but it's true" 

" This can't be happening. I am still asleep and dreaming all this from being spiked. I will wake up soon and this will all be one big nightmare" Baekhyun lays back into the pillow as a tear starts to fall down his plump cheek.

"Hey don't cry it will be ok " Minseok softly smiles down at his upset friend.

"I'm pregnant, how , when ?" Baekhyun looks puzzled up at his friend making Minseok smile and laugh 

"Hey you tell me, I take it Kai is the father?"

"What Kai ? Yeah yeah of course he is the only one I slept with " Baekhyun passes back his chart and with Minseok's help he sits up in the bed.

"I can't believe I'm pregnant, oh crap who else knows?" Baekhyun looks surprised at Minseok, hoping not many people know right now about his delicate condition.

"Just me and one other who did the test that's all but baek Kai was here after you arrived"

"Really he came here?"

"Baek we rang Sehun to tell him what had happened to you and Kai arrived with him. He didn't stay long as I told him to go home and get some rest as you would be asleep for awhile"

" Oh I can't believe he was here even after me being a dickhead to him" baek huffs a little feeling the pain in his head 

" Let me get you some fluids into a drip I'll be right back" Minseok leaves the room as Baekhyun can't believe what he is hearing 

Taking a few minutes he looks down at his stomach covered in a hospital gown and smiles. "A baby wow" as soon as the words leave his mouth Minseok returns with a IV drip.

"So I have to ask, are you going to tell Kai you're pregnant?" Minseok moves closer connecting the IV to the line in Baekhyun's arm.

" I'm not sure, I just found out " Baekhyun watches as Minseok connects him up.

" I'm gonna be horrible and ask this , are you going to keep it ?" Minseok sits on the edge of the bed holding Baekhyun's hand again knowing Baekhyun likes his work that much that he never really even had time to socialize outside of work till only recently.

" Wow I'm not sure I'm still a bit groggy and tired from last night. This is all just a bit to much for me right now" Baekhyun starts to cry a little till a soft knock comes to the door making them both turn to face the door.

" Hi, is the patient up to any visitors?" Kai pushes the door open standing there with his hair styled  up from his face, a beautiful black shirt rolled up at sleeves and black suit trousers hugging all the right parts of his legs while holding a small teddy.

"Sure come on in"  Minseok stands up from the bed as Baekhyun seems to have forgotten how to speak right now seeing the beauty in front of him.

"Hi, how are you feeling ? Kai stands close to the side of the bed not knowing how Baekhyun will react to him being there since everything that has happened between them.

"Feeling rather tired and confused. Minseok was filling me in on everything that happened" Baekhyun covers his body a little better with the blanket feeling rather exposed right now.

"I dropped by with Sehun last night I was so worried about you Baekhyun" Kai lowers his head a little playing with the teddy in his hands 

" Is that for me ?" Baekhyun smiles, making the taller now smile passing the teddy to him.

" Yeah it's the one that I had when I was here that  you told me to keep safe" Kai passes it to him and sits on the edge of the bed grateful that Baekhyun let's him.

" So, let me be your doctor. '' Kai reaches for Baekhyun's chart pretending to be the doctor and opens the chart.

" Well Mr Byun it looks here like you have had a very lucky escape last night " Kai changes his voice to try to sound like a doctor as Baekhyun tries to reach up and take the chart from him.

The room goes silent as Baekhyun sees Kai smile drop a little "pregnant" Kai says closing the chart putting it back onto the bed 

" I don't know what to say right now " Kai  stands up looking around the room as if looking for an answer to what he just saw

"Kai please sit " Baekhyun speaks softly making Kai turn to face him. 

"I'm so sorry " Baekhyun starts as Kai sits on the bed again

"Why are you sorry ?" 

" I'm pregnant "

" Being pregnant is ok , it's not the end of the world everything will be ok" Kai tries to hold his emotions in and is grateful that the door to the room is opened with Sehun rushing in to see his friend.

"I'll just step outside and let you both speak " Kai leaves the room and walks along the corridor and out of the hospital into the fresh air. Looking up at the sky he takes some deep breaths . 

Finally after filling his lungs with air he makes his way over to the tree he and Baek used to sit under for lunch when he had the food truck outside . Sitting on the bench he lets out a sigh not believing what he just read. Baekhyun is pregnant and if he is correct in thinking it's his baby.

Running through his head how he wants to jump up and down with excitement he also knows how much this work means to Baekhyun. He can't help but feel sad knowing at the end of the day it will be up to Baekhyun whether to keep the baby or not as it is his body after all.

He wants to hug Baekhyun and kiss him so much but he can't help but hear the soft angel voice telling him he smothers him too much.

As he sits under the tree his emotions get the better of him and a tear kisses his cheek.

"Kai" he hears his name being called as he turns looking over the back of the bench seeing Baekhyun sitting in a wheelchair and Sehun walking away with Minseok.

" Hi , are you ok , will I move you closer to the bench?" Kai gets nervous and it shows making Baekhyun smile "yes please " 

Moving closer to the bench Baekhyun fixes his blanket a little feeling nervous all of a sudden.

They both sit not knowing what to say to each other. "Fancy a tea or cold drink?" Kai stands up only to see Chenlee arrive carrying two cups .

"I already asked Chenlee to get us something " Baekhyun smiles, taking the cup from Chenlee as the younger rushes back inside.

" Nice coffee" Kai licks his lips making Baekhyun smile. "It's Minseok's favorite, don't tell him" he sips his tea before taking a deep breath himself .

"Kai the baby is yours" Baekhyun speaks so softly making Kai turn his head and smile a little. " I kinda had a feeling it was" he looks down at his cup wanting to cry happy tears but holds it back as best he can.

" I know I have been a total asshole with you lately Kai and I'm so sorry. I don't treat people that way and it hurts me that I said those things to you" Baekhyun let's a tear fall as he quickly wipes his seeing Kai just caught him.

"You had your reasons baek I get that . You finally got out and about and wanted to live a little and not be told what to do. I get that " Kai sips his drink as Baekhyun can tell he is holding back something .

"You want to say something but you're afraid, " Baekhyun says as Kai looks at him while sitting up straight on the bench .

"I'm not afraid really , I just know that I really love you baekhyun and yes I may smother you but that's just because I fell so hard for you so quickly and didn't want to lose you. I haven't been in many relationships so this is all new to me" Baekhyun smiles reaching his hand out as the taller takes it 

"I am sorry for what I said and how I hurt you" 

"What happened last night baek?" 

Pulling his hand back feeling tiny all of a sudden Baekhyun gets upset " I wanted to forget the world and everyone in it I wanted to numb the pain " 

"What sort of pain baek"

" The pain in my heart of being so horrible to everyone around me for them just being concerned for me and worried about me. Instead of thanking them I told them all to get lost even you" Baekhyun covers his eyes with one hand and starts to cry

"I could have been raped last night Kai" Baekhyun sobs out making Kai move closer to him getting onto his hunkers beside the smaller.

"Hey look at me , you didn't get raped and you're here now safe and sound with people who love you. Let them fuss around you that's what friends do" 

"I'm not used to it. I'm the doctor. I need to fuss over them and just do my job and go home" Baekhyun keeps crying looking into Kai's eyes.

"Well guess what for the next day or so let them look after you . You need to live outside of work too baek. I was the same as you with work work work and sleep nothing else and me having a heart attack has woken me up to that life is short and it's for living. It took you Chen and Chanyeol to wake me up to that"

" I'm not used to being weak "

" It's not a weakness your human not a robot" Kai cups the smallers cheek wiping a tear with his thumb

"Let me take you back inside, you need to sleep " Kai stands up but Baekhyun pulls his arm stopping him so he lowers himself to his hunkers again.

"How do you feel about me being pregnant ?" Baekhyun whispers as Kai smiles a little.

" Honestly I think your amazing and I'm shocked" he begins to laugh a little making Baekhyun smile and hold his hand tighter 

"I am over the moon that you're pregnant and I want to jump up and down but I know the choice is up to you because it's your body Baekhyun. You love work so much so I do have a little doubt inside me " 

" I understand that and yes you are right I love work so much and it's my body"

" I will be supportive no matter what you decide Baekhyun"

" Can I ask why you think I would get rid of the baby?" 

Moving closer and looking Baekhyun in the eyes, Kai says how he really feels.

" I say it because it's all work work work with you and it's only recently you have been going out and socializing and letting others into your life and it's Sehun who told me all this last night when we were in the car on our way here".

" He's right and he worries about me too. Everyone does" 

" Come on let's go inside" Kai stands up letting Baekhyun's hand go as he wheels him back into his hospital room.

"Thank you" Baekhyun moves to stand up but can't quite get it . Kai moves closer and lifts him bridal style out of the wheelchair and lays him onto the bed. Still leaning over the smaller Kai looks at Baekhyun's lips wanting to kiss him so badly but he holds back his needs. " Kai " Baekhyun looks up seeing Kai still not letting him go .

"Sorry " Kai tries to move away but Baekhyun stops him. " I want to kiss you Kai but I know I have ......" With those words Kai kisses the smaller on the lips very softly making him stop talking. Baekhyun reaches his hand up and cups Kai's cheek as he deepens the kiss a little more.

" I missed you" Baekhyun says into the kiss, making Kai smile and look down at him. " I missed you too so much beautiful" 

" I want to keep the baby Kai, " Baekhyun whispers making Kai smile from ear to ear.

" Are you sure you don't want to think about it more?" Kai has to ask even though it's killing him 

" I don't need to think anymore. I want to have this baby" he smiles a big smile as Kai smiles back feeling so over the moon.

" I will support you with whatever you need and if you meet someone else I will still be there to babysit " 

Baekhyun looks puzzled at Kai and pushes him away a little so he can sit up in the bed 

"What's wrong ?" Kai moves back sitting on the side of the bed 

" What do you mean someone else?" Baekhyun looks at him, feeling like his world just crashed .

"Baekhyun you kept me at arm's length the past few days not really wanting to be around me so I assumed you didn't want us" 

"Kai I have been an asshole and yes you smother me but I have missed you so much more than I can explain. My chest hurt knowing you were gone . But last night I was willing to sleep with someone else, a complete stranger all just to feel something similar to how you make me feel" Baekhyun reaches his hand out to Kai taking it. 

" Why sleep with someone else why not come to me I was always here for you" 

" I felt like I couldn't breath lately with the death of that person and me opening up to people and being told what to do I just lost it"

"Baekhyun, do you just want me now because you're pregnant ?" Baekhyun looks in shock as Kai is serious. Baekhyun wants to scream his head off at him asking him how dare he ask him that question but he knows Kai has the right to ask.

" I don't want you just because I'm pregnant . I want to be with you because I do feel alive when I'm with you. Yes I say you smother me but I haven't been in a relationship in such a long time I forgot how it works. I need to let people in and I need to except that I don't have to do things alone and that I need to live my life and I was wondering if maybe you will give me a second chance and we start again"

Kai smiles and takes the smallers hand in his "just promise me one thing " Kai smiles kissing the back of Baekhyun's hand " what is it ?" 

"If I smother you too much let me know " Kai smiles making Baekhyun giggle "deal" Kai moves in closer hugging the smaller as Baekhyun begins to cry making Kai move back a little.

"What's wrong beautiful?"

"Why are you so damn nice to me?'

"Because I love you and your huge heart "

" Even when I'm a jerk?" 

" Yes even then " Kai smiles as Baekhyun sits up snuggling into him.

" Kai I'm so happy your here and you didn't give up on me" 

" I won't give up on you Baekhyun just talk to me ok from now on and if you want to be with a stranger we can role play" 

" Roleplay how" baek smirks up at him wiggling his eyebrows making Kai burst out laughing 

"Well we can pretend we don't know each other and I'll go to the pub first and sit at the bar and you can join in later and try chat me up like a stranger and then if the night goes well I can take you home and have some fun" Kai kisses Baekhyun's neck making him moan out a little 

"I kinda like that idea but I rather you be you and not a stranger " Baekhyun cups Kai's face kissing him softly again in the lips.

"But out of curiosity what would we do back at your place after that night at the pub ?" Baekhyun teases now knowing Kai probably hasn't even thought that far ahead.

"Well I would strip you naked along the way to my bedroom kissing your neck touching your body then when you go to the bed I would pin you down and kiss you all over before I please you all night long "

" Oh wow I'd love that now" Baekhyun moans out as Kai just giggles 

" One night we can do it but not now you need to rest plus don't you need to wait like 8 months before you can have sex" Kai stands up from the bed smiling 

" What why because im pregnant, oh hell no I can still have sex don't keep that away from me when you look like a damn god in ur shirt and trousers"

" A god really?" Kai walks closer unbuttoning his shirt a little as Baekhyun licks his lips seeing his naked chest come into view.

" Kai I may not have the energy right now to Fuck you but please don't stop let me see you take ur shirt off"

" Really baby right here in the hospital?" Kai keeps opening his buttons slowly one at a time as he gets closer to the smaller drooling on the bed.

"Hey let's forget the past few days ok we can try again " 

"Do you promise?" Baekhyun looks up wiping his years as Kai kisses his nose

"I promise I am going to smother you and this beautiful baby" Kai says trying not to laugh as Baekhyun looks shocked up at him

"Actually I don't care if you do. I know you do it out of love for me and I will happily take it from you" Baekhyun smiles a big cheeky smile as he leans into Kai's chest breathing a sign of relief.

"Let's get you dressed and we can continue this another time" Kai moves away, finding a new gown to help Baek put on.

"Please don't button up the shirt your just so sexy" baekhyun bites his lip seeing Kai pull his shirt back on before unlocking the door.

"I have to but don't worry when you feel better we can have fun" Kai winks as Baekhyun holds out his hand for Kai to join him on the bed.

"Kai I have only ever been in one relationship so I may do things wrong like I have been" 

" Hey it's ok I only had one relationship also. They lied to me though and were never faithful so I think that's were the smothering comes from"

"That would explain a lot " Baekhyun smiles a fake smile as Kai looks worried 

"Baek I'm sorry but I need to say this if you didn't get spiked you would be probably climbing out of someone else's bed this morning and it breaks me a little"

"You're probably right Kai and I'd be a lot worse, probably left somewhere like a dirty laneway all because I had a tantrum"

"I know we just spoke about trying again but I had to say that part as it was in my head and I'd rather talk to you then keep it baek"

" I get that and I totally understand. If you want to think about giving us another chance I will understand" Baekhyun wipes his stray tears knowing full well Kai is right .

" I will head off and let you rest and I'll drop by tomorrow to see you if that's ok?"

" I'd like that yes " Baekhyun smiles as Kai passes him the teddy from the floor ." Keep him safe and I'll see you in the morning " Kai leans closer kissing Baekhyun on his head before he leaves the room .

Baekhyun snuggles down in the bed hugging the teddy and bursts out crying.

"Baek" Minseok whispers as he sits on the side of the bed looking at Baekhyun sobbing.

" I fucked up Minseok"

" I told him I was sorry and I explained it all to him we nearly even slept together after we cleared the air just now but he said one thing was bothering him about all this and it was that if I wasn't spiked I'd be climbing out of another man's bed this morning"

" He isn't wrong is he?" Minseok helps Baekhyun sit up in the bed, passing him some tissues to wipe his face.

" He is right but I think the spiking made me realize life is short and that Kai really is a great guy one that I need in my life who won't ever do me wrong"

"Ok so what do you want to do?" Minseok looks all smiles as Baekhyun smiles too

" I want to get that CEO back and I will do everything I can before someone else takes him on me"

" What about the baby?"

" I'm keeping the baby but I won't use the baby against him. I want Kai to want me again, not just because I'm pregnant . And I will show him I want him for him and not because I'm carrying his baby that he should feel like he needs to be there"

" I think that's a brilliant idea and I will help if I can but now you will sleep. Your blood pressure is starting to climb and it isn't good for the baby" Minseok stands up checking Baekhyun over before tucking his friend into bed . "Rest and I will drop in some food " 

Minseok leaves the room as Baekhyun reaches out for his phone, sending a message.

Hi, I know you just left but I was wondering if .....

Huffing to himself he deletes the message and puts his phone away as he lays done in bed . He was going to text Kai but decided to leave him to think and he will deal with his answer in the morning.

Just about to drift off to sleep, a knock comes to the door making him look up.

" Hi delivery of these for you" a man walks into his room holding out a massive bunch of roses with one blue and pink flower in them. Taking the card from the envelope Baekhyun smiles as the man leaves.

These are for the most amazing angel reading this card carrying the most precious little angel inside them. I gift you red roses . And not to leave the angel within you out, I have placed a blue and pink flower inside also.

Wiping his tears Baekhyun smiles, kissing the card as his work friends enter the room with caution. " Is it ok to enter?" They ask as Baekhyun smiles and waves them in .

"Yes please do " he smiles ear to ear as they all rush in excitedly. He knows he needs to let people into his life and this is the day to start it .
