LILLIANS POV

     All the items in the air softly landed back to the surfaces they were on before all the levitation. I look over at Father, who had a giant smile on his face. I opened my mouth about to ask Ollivander a question, but he started clapping with glee.

     "Well my dear, I think we can definitely say, that wand has chosen you."

     "So all the levitating wasn't bad?"

     "On the contrary! That was exactly the something we needed to see. That wand is very content to have you as it's owner."

     "I do have one question though. What did you mean by 'it calls other wands to it' and 'they will want to submit to this wand'? Is that a good or bad thing?"

     "Well that depends Miss Grindelwald. Do you plan on using your wand for evil? Or something more evil than what you're usually forced to do?"

     "I wasn't planning on it. I didn't want to get this mark. But I mostly meant, what would happen to the other Witches and Wizards when they're trying to perform magic at Hogwarts? Would it cause their wands to freak the fuck out?"

     "It shouldn't. I believe the only time that the wands would disobey the owners is if you are intentionally trying to get the wands to bend to your will. Does that make sense?"

     "I think it does. Thank you for all of my wands information, and tha k you for your time. I appreciate it."

     "No need to thank me dear. Let's ring you up. Come here to the register."

     I walk over to the counter with Father. I place my powerful as fuck wand in front of Ollivander and wait for him to say the price.

     "That will be-"

     He doesn't get the chance to finish speaking. Father pushed a bag of coins in front of him.

     "Don't worry about the change. You can keep it. Thank you for your time, and keeping that wand safe. It's greatly appreciated."

     Ollivander bows his head, and looks at us with a wide smile on his face.

     "It's been my pleasure."

     We exit the shop, and start walking in a random direction.

     "Where are we going now?"

     Father stops walking, and did around in his coat pocket. He pulls out a letter from Hogwarts. I gasp and start trying to look at it.

     "Can you give me my first Hogwarts letter? I've never seen one before. Wait, how did you get my letter?"

     "Dumblwh- sorry. McGonagall told Dumbledore that your Father, not Gellert Grindelwald, but a different man at my current address, was going to take custody of you. So when they sent out the letters, they sent me yours. Did that all make sense?"

     "That did actually. So what supplies do I need. Don't I get to choose an animal?"

     He laughs a little bit.

     "You do get to choose a pet Lily."

     I smile at him. I've never had that nickname before. They're usually Lil, bitch, whore, and more hurtful words. If this is how Father is behind closed doors, I'm definitely going to call him Father, and be proud that I got out of an abusive family.

     "Well, I know which one I want. I want a owl. They're so pretty!"

    We walk over to the animal companion shop, and start looking at all of the gorgeous owls. Near the back of the shop, one of the owls immediately catch my eye.

     The owl is black with emerald green highlights across its wings. I call Father over and tell him that I made my decision. We call the clerk over and tell him that we have made our decision.

     The man behind the counter was more than happy to sell the owl to me. He kept rambling on and on that nobody wanted her, and that she kept pecking at anyone who would try to buy her. I'm glad she is okay with me purchasing her.

     I take her out of the shop and let her spread her wings and fly for a little bit. Father stands next to me, staring at the beautiful owl.

     "What are you going to name her?"

     "I was thinking, maybe Juniper Bloom Grindelwald. But I would only call her by Juniper."

     "I think that that's a wonderful name. Come! We're going to finish up shopping, and then, we're going to train"
