Naomi was more than aware that by withholding the truth from Ginny that it would only sour their slowly strengthening relationship. It had taken them through so many twists and turns so far and adding this strain by hiding something would only continue to weigh down upon said relationship. It wasn't like Naomi wanted to do this to her relationship. She never willingly wanted to make her girlfriend feel as though there was such a big secret going on. But she felt as though there was nothing else she could do.

She so wished she could tell her girlfriend the truth. But she couldn't. It wasn't just the fear of both teenagers failing their task and all of their loved ones being murdered that completely held her back. There was something else. It was most likely the unbreakable vow she had taken, not mind you very willingly, in order to join the task force for their mission. It had included part about keeping it secretive from everyone not in the room at the time. Therefore, Naomi knew it was down to that vow that she could not tell Ginny. Not only was the vow holding her back by holding an inevitable death over her but also her brain was protecting her from such a death.

But alas now reaching the conclusion that there was absolutely no way she could tell her girlfriend the truth, all Naomi could do was watch. Watch as the red haired witch walked away from her that night. Watch as over the next week Ginny continued to get closer and closer to Harry Potter. The boy wonder. The saviour of the wizarding world. How she clung onto his boney little arms which tried to show he was a keen athlete but with years of malnutrition behind them were nowhere near to being a nice looking sight. How Ginny listened to everything Harry spoke as if it was gospel. How Ginny went even further to ensure she looked good every day, which was something Naomi couldn't believe she could do become even more beautiful, yet Ginny continued to pull away.

Naomi had always held bittersweet feelings towards Harry Potter since the moment she met him. It had been years now and those feelings only continued to grow. The more she watched the so called saviour of the wizarding world grow closer with her girlfriend the more these feelings developed and they developed quickly. If you took away those acts he did as a baby, which Naomi hasted to add on were only really the result of his mothers selfless sacrifice, he was just your average 16 year old. There wasn't much particularly spectacular about him, he didn't have above average grades, sure he could play quidditch but he wasn't the best player the school had ever seen. Yet people seemed to walk around him and treat him as if he was some sort of god. The younger students collected his post, people wrote the essays he couldn't be bothered to do. And the worst thing was that he let him, at first he 'tried' to tell them otherwise before admitting defeat. But Naomi was sure it was all a show anyways.

Not to mention the way that every single year, without fail, that he would perform some sort of heroic act which continued to push him further into the spotlight of the student body. He had somehow managed to continue that streak since his first year in the school and it only proved to Naomi one thing. No matter how much money she had, no matter how popular she was she would never ever be as loved as Harry was. She wasn't sure she had a single friend other than Astoria who seemed to care for her as much as half of the student body seemed to regarding Harry.

And now to add salt to the wound created by the boy who lived wrecking down upon Naomi's self esteem. He had taken the one thing she held and cherished so much. He had without even being aware of it, stolen her girlfriend away. The thing Naomi wished for more than anything right now was the ability to go over there and just punch his lights out. Knock him unconscious, take her girlfriends hand and run into the sunset. But alas it would be impossible. For she was the enemy and he was everything good in the world.

Naomi supposed this could have been how Ginny felt watching her get closer to Draco. Yet Naomi wasn't exactly starting anything that was the slightest bit more than platonic. She never would, she couldn't ever see herself dating someone of the opposite gender yet alone Draco Malfoy of all choices. They would always be strictly platonic.

To be matter of a fact, another reason the relationship between Draco and Naomi grew so fast was due to the boys crush on Naomi's best friend. Draco was absoultely smitten with Astoria, and considering Naomi was aware of the blonde haired witch having mutual feelings she couldn't help but get a little involved. Naomi wanted her best friend to be as happy in a relationship as she was. And considering that person was one of the people she considered close enough to call a brother, who obviously wasn't her biological brother, she wanted to try and help the pair get closer to one another.

However, this was not the same case with Harry and Ginny. They weren't platonic anyone could see it. The pair were being very public about their less than friendly way of seeing each other. Ginny and Harry could quite easily give any public straight couple a run for their money at this point. Whatever was going on between the two Gryffindors was everything Ginny wanted. The public relationship which everyone awed over. Harry was everything Ginny wanted, rich, successful and the one thing Naomi would probably never be; liked by the Weasley family.

Yet despite all this begrudging, all this hate. Naomi still could not say anything to her girlfriend. Not without the risk of dying before she could even tell Ginny that she loved her. Considering her inability to physically tell her girlfriend, demanding that she stopped spending time with the boy wonder, or anything along those lines would be hypocritical.

What it did not stop was Naomi's incisive whining to her best friend. Sure she hadn't exactly told Astoria what was going on between the two girls, she supposed she didn't need to. Yet she didn't stop complaining about seeing Ginny and Harry together and how it had gone from just making her jealous to making her heart hurt. It had been one of their normal Saturday pamper nights in their dorm room when Naomi once again brought the topic of conversation up. She had avoided it for the grand total of 48 hours and was sure Astoria had enough of hearing about it, but one last time she would ask her friend for advice.

"I'm so unsure of what to do Astoria, I feel like I'm at my ends wit regarding this entire relationship. I love her, I really do but she seems so much happier with the Potter boy. They're not even together to my knowledge but she's had very little trouble with him compared to me." Naomi had started as soon as the pair had stalled on their conversation regarding the relationship of the head boy and head girl of the school.

"Don't be so daft Naomi, she's not going to be happier with him. Not when she's got you. Yes it's more quiet but it would be ridiculous to even think that she would end your relationship just so she could have one more public." Astoria always saw the more positive things in life, Naomi supposed that was why they worked so well. Naomi saw the glass as half empty and Astoria saw it as half full.

"I don't know it's just one thing after another is being thrown at this relationship. I'm almost thinking it's a sign that we're not meant to be together." Naomi continued on with her point of view.

"What could be the problem this time other than Potter? What aren't you telling me Ni?" Astoria pressed on finally getting to the bottom of the true peril in her friends relationship.

"Ginny doesn't like the fact that me and Draco spend so much time together. I have promised her it was nothing more than platonic. But of course it's hard to believe just words." Naomi sighed as she spoke the final sentence. She was exhausted regarding the entire situation. She never wanted to say Ginny was against her having any friends of the opposite gender because it would be stupid. Just this one friend Ginny was so against.

"You two have to spend time together right? You don't have to tell me why I won't ask you to but surely she can put together the cards. She knows about everything else. It's his task right? You have to help with his task." Astoria was always right she was much brighter than people ever gave her credit for. Everyone assumed she was just some airhead with daddy's bank account. But Astoria was always so much more.

It would have been idiotic to think that anyone in the approved circle of Slytherin students didn't know what was going on. After all they had all been present when the Dark lord announced Draco's mission. Well the fact he had one only those deeply involved knew the exact logistics of the mission. And considering how close it was getting to the end of the term, it would make sense that others would be added onto the task force. And two students in different years made it harder for people to expect exactly what was going on.

Naomi at first responded with a small noise of acknowledgment to Astoria's words agreeing to what she had said. But alas she could still not say it aloud. Before she continued to carry on their conversation with actual words and not just noises.

"Irregardless it's not like I can say anything to her. So I'm supposing she either believes I'm cheating or she's trying to find a way out." Naomi could feel her own chest hurt now she finally admitted what she had been thinking for a few days now out loud. Hearing those words and not just thinking them was enough to break her.

"I'm assured that is nowhere near the case Ni. Ginevra is probably just frustrated that she can't get the answers she wants and is so used to getting whenever she wants. She's acting out hoping that you'll give in and tell her exactly what she wants to hear." Astoria paused to pick up the silver nail polish she intended to use on Naomi's fingernails this time instead of the usual emerald the brunette normally sported.

"If you both truly love each other, then you will continue to face these hurdles and overcome them. Have a little faith." With those words Astoria had successfully put a little bit of happiness back into Naomi regarding her entire relationship. She finally felt as though it might quite possibly just still work out positively.

Before they both knew it the pair had moved onto much more pressing conversations. They were willing to spill anything they had heard about the rest of the student body once again. That was the entire reason for their pamper sessions once a week. In order to share everything they had heard during the week. Get it off their chests.

"So Daphne has been telling me there's loads of stuff going on in the sixth year dorms at the moment. Like the girls are fighting over guys at the moment it's truly bizarre." Astoria started the conversation this time.

"Really? I never thought they would be arguing over potential lovers. There's so many for them to pick from both their age and a year older or younger. Who's arguing over who." Naomi queried.

"You're not going to like this really, but Pansy is adamant she's going to marry your brother. She wants to be the next Heiress Nott."

"Ew my brother really? She could literally get anyone better than him. What does she even see in Theo he snorts every time he laughs. It's gross."
