Finally, it has been the weekend and Gunyeo already called me early in the morning. After that walk we had yesterday, we decided to leave each other's phone numbers so we can message each other if it's time for the second photoshoot for the project.
This time, Naehyun wouldn't leave his house.
Both of us would be the ones going to his place.
Knowing how late Naehyun wakes up, Gunyeo and I decided to buy some food in the convenience store. When I saw him waiting for me, he was wearing a brown jacket, ripped jeans, and black converse. He was wearing thin-rimmed glasses and on his neck was an orange headphone linked to a player.
I quickly approached him, tapping him on the shoulder as he raised his head to look at me, finally dismissing the phone that he was scrolling and staring at the whole minute.
"I'm going to grab some iced coffee and a ramen inside," I told him as he nodded, following me as soon as I went inside the store and greet the girl on the counter.
Looking around, I feel Gunyeo going to another aisle to look for some chips as I take the cup of ramen noodles and went to grab my drink.
As soon as I went to the counter, I felt a presence right beside me. Gunyeo then went ahead, putting the chips and a can of soda before paying his.
I decided to pay for my coffee and ramen as well before telling him that it was probably time to call Naehyun to tell him that we were coming.
"Do you think that we should've brought tents for this one?" I couldn't help but ask since we still wanted to make sure that the photo would have a camping vibe on it and not bringing tents would mean that it's not a camping trip at all. Well, we wanted to be realistic as much as possible.
Having no tents would mean that it would probably be a backyard moment instead of a natural camp. Gunyeo shook his head at this, telling me that Naehyun had probably got some stored.
I quickly smiled back before putting my food in my bag while I noticed how Gunyeo averted his attention to me and then eyed the cup of ramen noodles on my left hand.
"Do you want some chips?" He then tried to hand me some by pushing it towards me but I respectfully declined his offer. I wasn't really hungry yet and I would probably eat my ramen at Naehyun's house.
Besides, there's probably hot water there and I don't want to delay our shoot by eating inside the convenience store anyway.
"I think I can eat my ramen later. Right now, iced coffee would be nice." That was the only answer that I managed to give him before opening the bottle and drinking. Suddenly, I heard Gunyeo's phone ringing as he then accepted the call and said hello.
I then saw Gunyeo nodding, his eyes going back over to me before answering. "We'll be there in ten minutes. Just set the tents up and we'll help you set the food for later."
He then put Naehyun on speaker so I could actually hear him. "Yeo, do you think that we'll have to wait until night to take shots?"
"No, we can take the daylight photos first before the night ones," Gunyeo answered as I said hello to Naehyun. He returned back the greet before turning his attention back to Gunyeo.
"Do you think we'll need a campfire for later? I can set up the backyard. But the food can wait, right?" he asked and Gunyeo couldn't help but roll his eyes at this.
Well, I can't blame him. I'm sure that it was already lunchtime and Gunyeo probably decided to just eat there at Naehyun's before the photoshoot.
I could hear Naehyun complaining lowly on the phone as he heard what Gunyeo said. "I thought you always have lunch at home, Yeo."
"Eysee's going to eat her ramen there too." I widened my eyes when Naehyun laughed and immediately changed his tone of voice when Gunyeo mentioned my name.
"Oh, Eysee's going to eat here too? Well, there are still some ingredients here. I might be able—" Naehyun wasn't able to finish his sentence when Gunyeo puffed his cheeks and let out a huff.
"So, when it comes to Eysee, you're ready to cook. But when it comes to me—" Naehyun laughed at this and ended the call, making Gunyeo widen his eyes and look at me.
We tried calling him once again but this time, nobody picked up. I guess Naehyun probably did it on purpose or he ran out of battery. As soon as I saw how Gunyeo was irritated a bit, I do hope that Naehyun had the latter.
"I guess we need to go there so he won't keep waiting for long," I suggested, trying to keep Gunyeo's mind out of the sudden end call he got from Naehyun. He then nodded, both of us getting a taxi to go to Incheon.
As soon as we went inside, I diverted my attention to the window --- trying to distract myself. I was thinking about what Incheon would look like.
Considering that I was an exchanged student here, I wasn't the type to travel much to a place I'm not familiar with. Unless I have someone I trust, that is.
Suddenly, I heard Gunyeo's voice next to me. "Do you want to play some music?"
I was shocked though. I then heard him continue, "I saw you looking out the window. I was thinking that maybe you'd want some music while you do that."
He trailed off as soon as he saw me nod. I then notice him taking out his headphones and pulling out his player. "Here you go."
I thanked him, putting his headphones on my ears and finally enjoying the taxi ride.
Incheon, here we come.
