Stroll By My Memories
On my each stride of life,
There lies my sweat of hardwork,
passion, pain, tears and will.
I was exhausted,
And my heart jolted
at the sight of butterflies
They fluttered their wings,
and made my mind blurry.
I was taken aback,
Back to my memories,
Where I stood on the shade
of my sweet childhood,
Sweet as the mangoes I used to eat,
Warm as my mother's hug,
Lovely as the buds to bloom,
And colourful than the rainbow,
And I smiled.
Then I was dipped,
Dipped in the ocean of pain and fear,
I wasn't able to breathe, helpless
and I shed a tear of blood
Grief made the ocean deep,
Betrayal made my descend deadly,
The deeper I went,
the tighter fear held on me
Then, I escaped with a burning scar.
Then I lit up the lamps,
With the fire of knowledge,
And I felt enlightened
The fire spread through my veins,
To find inner peace I craved
The books I read,
Refreshed my lungs with air,
the fresh air of new thought
My friends brightened my days
But still I remained gloomy at night
Sunk in despair,
out of fears of nightmares,
which had gripped over me.
And my struggles passed
through my eyes as a flash
Then I regained my senses,
and continued my strides
As my life is a long journey
And I had a long way to go...
