Chapter 3
Hannah woke up to the sun radiating itself on her, and Ann. She was sweating wildly as the desert temperature changed from the night before. She flung the blankets on the floor and shook Ann until she woke, if she stayed under the blankets any longer she would probably get a heat stroke.
Ann groaned in protest, "why do we have to get up so early?"
"Early bird gets the worm"
"Worms are gross..."
"Your face is gross."
"Excuse you. My face is amazing"
"Says the one younger then me."
Ann rolled over to face Hannah and sighed, "fine. But your making me breakfast."
Hannah chuckled, "Nope! Because I'm taking a shower!" and sprinted to the bathroom, locking the door as she heard Ann's rumbling footsteps hit the ground.
"Fine! But if there is a snake in there don't come crying to me!"
Hannah gave a solemn laugh as she turned on the water, not much came out. The water pressure was terrible, and the water wasn't that clean. Hannah stood in the shower as the water hit her wet hair and body gently. Although it wasn't a lot, the water was frigid. But, it felt nicer then the steaming hot weather outside.
After a few minutes, she stopped the water, dried herself off, and changed into a tank top, with a jacket over it, but not zipped. White pants, and expired chapstick she saved when she was young. The tainted pink painted her chapped lips, it wasn't that noticeable, but it was worth looking nice.
She stepped out from the bathroom to see her sister, not there. She called out, "Ann! Ann! Get in here!" No response. She tried again, a little more concern, "Ann! Ann! C'mon now!" Now she was frightened. She ran across the fragile house and finally stepped outside to see her sister sitting on the porch listening to the noises from the sky.
The worry and concern left Hannah's features and eyes and she saw how peaceful and contained Ann looked. The noises from the sky, that sounded like boat and train horns wasn't that audible. Maybe god was ready to let them go, maybe this hell was over. But, the noise stopped and everything went back to normal. "What a buzzkill..." Ann said to herself. "And I thought I would see the world.." She turned around to see Hannah behind her and looked down at the ground. "Is this prison? Are we going to be stuck here forever? Will I never see New York? Norway? King Kong? Great Britain?" She started yelling in sadness and anger. "How come everyone else in the world is free? How come we have to be punished? Is this God's judgement on us, or us personally? Were we God's mistakes? Is that why we are h-"
She felt a sting go across her face, she looked up to see Hannah's hair covering her red, teary eyes. Hannah was filled with nothing but guilt, Ann should be happy. Why is Ann here? She deserves a normal life, like everyone else in the world. Hannah though to herself. She looked up at Ann and said with determination, "you will go to Eden, even if I can't. I swear on my life you will live a normal life, even without me." And left Ann on the porch, giving her an opportunity to think over Hannah's words in detail.
Hannah's chapstick was now fading away. The effort on her face, fading from age, stress, worry, and sadness. Ann could only make her smile, Ann's liveliness kept her optimistic at times. But, what just happened would occasionally acurr, because no one can stay optimistic all the time in this desolate terrain. Nothing. And, for many, it can slowly eat you away.

Hey guys. Sorry, this is shorter then the last chapter. It's late at night and I didn't have any ideas. It sucks, I know.
