"How was your day?" Severus asked sitting down beside Harry on the couch.

"It was good," Harry yawned, adjusting himself so he could cuddle up to Severus's side. "We talked about Christmas plans."

"Mmmm," Severus hummed. "Do you have many plans?"

"Not really," Harry tilted his head to smile up at him. "Just a quick catch up with the group here and there. But I really just want to spend as much time with you as I can."

"How sweet," Severus smiled back. "I'm glad you are putting me first. I hate sharing you."

"I know," Harry laughed. "I can sense it when we are with other people."

Severus chuckled deeply. A comfortable silence settled upon the pair as they both stared into the flickering flames. 

"We've come along way," Harry suddenly said. 

"We have," Severus responded after a pause. 

"It started out as you helping me," Harry said slowly. "Then I helped you. And then... Well everything with the Gryffindors happened and the only people there for me were you and the Slytherins. I've never felt more safe and protected then when I'm with you."

They settled into a content silence.

"But I think being bonded to you has been one of the best things to happen to me in my life," Harry softly said, turning his head up towards Severus.

Severus smiled and turned his head to Harry. He lent down a bit and kissed him. Harry smiled into the kiss.  

"I love you," Severus whispered as he briefly pulled away from the kiss.

"I love you too," Harry whispered back.

Harry pushed Severus back on the couch and climbed on top of him to straddle his hips. Harry lent down and kissed Severus as he slowly slid his hands up his chest. Severus moaned into the kiss. Harry smiled as he suddenly vanished both of their tops. Severus shivered slightly from the sudden cold and the touch of Harry's hands on his bare chest. Severus pulled the covers over the top of them, snuggling closer to Harry. Severus smiled as he remembered all their happy memories. He slowly drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the only person that made him happy.
