Chapter 24
With a click the door opened and Harry flung himself into the room, stopping as he saw the dark looming shadow hovering over Theodore's still unconscious body.
"Stop, Melon!" The dark looming shadow reeled back and scrambled to the other side of the room, hissing and swearing loudly at Harry. "You shall not harm him."
"Human meat! Human meat!" Melon screamed, laughing insanely as he tried to make a move at Theodore again.
"The power of Christ compels you!" Harry shouted, pointing a finger at Melon and in a flash of white light, a barrier appeared to contain Melon to the far right corner of the room. "Help me get him out of here."
Harry grabbed Theodore's arms as Gerald grabbed his legs. They both lifted him off the ground and transported him out of the room, laying him down softly in the middle. With a growl Harry marched back into the room and released the barrier from Melon.
"This human is not for you. He is a friend. Leave him alone or suffer the consequences," Harry growled before leaving the room with a yelling and thrashing Melon.
"What was that!" Gerald shouted in shock after Harry had closed the door and made his way over to kneel next to Theodore's head.
"That was a Coot," answered Harry distractedly as he accio-ed a glass of water. "You wouldn't have heard of them. Rarely any wizards have. They are a type of vampire that are deformed, almost like a genetic disability."
"How did he come to stay in your house?" asked Gerald quietly.
"Well my clan was about to kill him because he was trying to murder anything that moved - excluding me," told Harry as he placed Theodore's head on his lap and begun slowly pouring some water into his mouth. "As I was the only thing he wasn't trying to murder, I took on the responsibility of him. And I've learnt that if I slowly introduce someone to him, he won't attack."
"Oh," was all Gerald said.
Theodore woke with a gasp and chocked on a bit of water. He breathed deeply as he shook from the shock of being attacked by Melon.
"W-What was that?" Theodore asked quietly, his throat now parched.
Harry explained what Melon was and how he came into his home again. Theodore eventually stopped shaking and instead sipped on the water as Harry talked.
"So... So what you are saying is that I'm currently living in a house that holds a insane, killing vampire?" confirmed Theodore.
"Yes," answered Harry simply.
The three stood up and made their way down to the kitchen to eat and drink. Theodore in the end refused to finish cleaning the upstairs floor and left the task for Harry to do.
And that's it for this Chapter. It's going to be a while until the next chapter is up. Vote, comment and everything else I normally tell you to do. But for now... Peace Out My Chicken Nuggets!
