I am altering the course of this episode a tad because I can. I also never realized before that Artemis and Kaldur don't appear in it??? Like what??? Why???

"Robin, Kid Flash, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Miss Martian, and Superboy, report to the mission room." Batman's voice came over the intercom, drawing Wanda out of her daydream. She made her way to the mission room after getting dressed in her suit, surprised to not see Aqualad or Artemis there. She stood with the rest of her team as Batman briefed them. "Rumaan Harjavti is the democratically elected president of Quarac. Harjavti has been praised as a fair, wise leader. A humanitarian. But five days ago Harjavti aligned himself with the dictator of the neighboring nation of Bialya, Queen Bee."

"Hmph, not a fan." Superboy grumbled.

"Few are. But Harjavti suddenly backs Queen Bee's baseless claim that Bialya and Quarac used to be one nation in ancient times, and has announced that the countries will reunify in two days in a ceremony in Quarac." Batman showed footage of the two leaders discussing the unification.

"And the Quarcis are okay with this?"

"Hardly." He pulled up footage of protests, explaining how Harjavti has censored the press, silenced the media, and invited in the Bialyan military to instate martial law.

"Queen Bee has to be controlling Harjavti." Robin stated. "Doesn't she have the power to enthrall most men?"

"And some women." Batman's eyes flicked to Scarlet Witch for half a second before resting back over the team as a whole. "But not long distance. And we have confirmation that she hasn't left Bialya. Something else is at work here. Find out what. Robin, your team leader."

"Me? What about Aqualad?"

"Helping Aquaman. You're the next logical choice."

"Great."

"Dude? You totally left me hanging."

Everyone made their way to the bioship, getting into their seats as Miss Martian piloted them to the Quarac-Bialya border.

Quarac

The team watched as Bialyan soldiers and tanks ripped through a fence at the border, chasing a pack of wildebeest. Superboy pointed out that there was no opposition, so Harjavti must be in bed with Bialya. Robin said not to expect opposition, they were over an animal sanctuary.

"The Logan animal sanctuary?" Miss Martian cried out.

"You've heard of it?"

Kid Flash pointed out that the tanks caused a stampede with civilians in harms way. Miss Martian jumped in, saying the team had to save them. Robin deployed the team in stealth mode, letting them know that if the Bialyans knew they hit them it would become an international incident.

Scarlet Witch fired a psionic bolt at the tanks wheel, causing it to crash into the other tank. The soldiers paused, looking at the tanks in confusion. Robin threw a birdarang down that exploded into a gas, providing cover for Quicksilver and Kid Flash as they ran around collecting firearms from the soldiers.

Superboy landed in front of the woman and small boy, grabbing a wildebeest and throwing it on the ground to divert the other stampeding animals away from the civilians. Once the stampede was over, the team went up to the civilians, Robin asking if they were alright.

"Woah. Mom, mom, mom! We were just saved by Robin and Kid Flash!" The little boy yelled.

"Superboy, Miss Martian, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver helped too." Kid Flash gestured to the others.

Oh, look at you, actually giving others credit.

Pietro, hush.

"We diverted the Bialyans around the sanctuary. You should be safe now." Robin told the mother and son.

"Uh, Miss Martian? You can come out now." Scarlet Witch whispered.

"You may have made things worse. Bialyan border crossings are a way of life here. Usually they wreck a few fences and move on. Engaging them might've made us a target." The woman crossed her arms over her chest.

"Mom. Uncool."

"I suppose I should thank you. This is my son, Garfield. I'm-"

"Marie Logan." Miss Martian went on a little tangent about how she loved her work.

Marie pointed out how the animals were hurt and needed caring for. Miss Martian said that the boys and Scarlet Witch could bring them to the clinic while she and Marie fixed the fences. Robin relented.

By the next morning the group, minus Miss Martian and Marie, were nearing the house. They enter the house and Garfield turns to the team, talking about how much Miss Martian looks like his mom. He says his mom was on a show when she was younger and starts looking for the tape of it when Superboy says he hears an aircraft heading their way. Robin tells Garfield to stay inside.

The team runs outside to see Miss Martian and Marie returning from putting the fence up. They look to the sky when three drones begin firing upon them. Marie asked where Garfield was when he yelled from the barn, right before it was shot at, exploding with him in the doorway.

Miss Martian caught Garfield and brought him to his mother as Superboy and Scarlet Witch took care of the drones. They went inside once the drones were taken care, hooking Garfield up to machines to monitor his condition. Marie said he was in shock and would need a blood transfusion. None of the humans were his type.

Miss Martian said she could transform her blood on the cellular level to complete the transfusion, so that was the option they went with. Everyone filed out of the room, heading to the living room as Miss Martian and Marie worked on the transfusion.

"-and on top of all this, Harjavti steps down tomorrow. KF, can you find a news station?" Robin ran his hands through his hair.

Kid Flash accidentally put on Hello Megan and the team watched, enthralled by the show until Miss Martian stepped back into the room, quickly flipping on a news station. They noticed Psimon behind Harjavti, deducing that he was the agent that Queen Bee was using to control Harjavti.

Marie came out and told them Garfield was stable and the team told her that they had their mission.

The team made it into Harjavti's office after confirming that he was alone. The doors burst open and in came soldiers with Apokoliptian technology, claiming that the team was there to assassinate the president. Miss Martian slipped out on her way to find Psimon, leaving the team behind to fight the soldiers and protect the president.

The team took the soldiers down, running after Miss Martian. They were telepathically knocked out the second they walked into the room, coming back too what seemed like moments later but was a long battle later.

"Ugh, I do not miss that headache." Quicksilver groaned. "That Psimon sure does a number on you."

Scarlet Witch said nothing, staring at Miss Martian in veiled shock. She recognized Miss Martian's telepathic signature and knew it was her that knocked them out. The question was, why? Was Wanda not the only one working with the enemy?

She narrowed her eyes in suspicion.

"Scarlet Witch, we gotta go."

She nodded, running after the team.

After Miss Martian impersonated Queen Bee on live news and President Harjavti was safe, the team went back to the Logan's to check on Garfield. When they got there, Scarlet Witch felt a familiar presence.

"Where is your bathroom?" She asked Marie, following her instructions down the hall. She waited until she knew the coast was clear before slipping into Garfield's room, coming face to face with Queen Bee. "What are you doing here?"

"Is that anyway to talk to me?" Queen Bee sneered.

"Forgive me." Scarlet Witch whispered, bowing her head. She felt a hand under her chin as Queen Bee raised her head to look into her eyes.

"I have a present for you. A gift from the Light. Call it assurance that we can do what we promise." Queen Bee pulled out a headpiece identical to the one Scarlet Witch was wearing. "This here will slow down the process of your cellular deconstruction every time you use your powers. It will stop all those nasty side effects, and it may even give you more control over your abilities." Scarlet Witch reached for it, only for Queen Bee to pull back. "We need something in exchange too, Wanda. For all we know, you are going to take this gift and betray us in our time of need. We need...assurance of our own."

"What do you want that I can give you?"

Queen Bee leaned in to Scarlet Witch's ear. "A demonstration."

Scarlet Witch nodded, stepping back behind the door as she heard footsteps coming closer. She watched Queen Bee lay down on the bed next to Garfield.

Miss Martian entered the room, gasping when she saw Queen Bee. "Ah, ah. We wouldn't want to wake my little thrall here, now would we? I might have to order him to injure himself." Miss Martian's eyes glowed. "Ah, he has orders to do just that if anything is to come to me. Now, your performance. A bit over the top, don't you think? But then again, you haven't perfected me the way you have perfected the role of Megan." Queen Bee stood up, approaching Miss Martian. Her eyes flickered to Scarlet Witch for half a second. "That's right, Psimon isn't the only one to know your true form. And if you don't cooperate-" She closed the door, revealing Scarlet Witch standing there. "-I'll make sure everyone knows what you really are. Wanda, you know what you have to do."

"Yes, my queen." Her eyes glowed scarlet as she fulfilled her mission.

"W-Wanda, she has you under her c-control! Listen to me! Fight her!" Miss Martian cried out, her vision going black. "Fight...her."

"Such theatrics. Did you do what you needed to do?" Queen Bee asked, placing a hand on Scarlet Witch's shoulder.

"Yes. The Martian is now a sleeper agent of the Light. I erased her memories of this encounter to ensure my secret is kept. She will carry out her orders under the trigger words 'almiriykh al'abyad'."

"'White Martian', nice touch." Queen Bee smiled, replacing Scarlet Witch's headpiece with the one that the Light had made. "I will be taking my leave now, wake her and ensure her memories of this encounter are wiped. You're doing the Light proud, Wanda."

Scarlet Witch waited until Queen Bee was long gone before she woke Miss Martian up, telling her confused friend that she fainted. The team left after that, heading back to the mountain.

On the flight back, Scarlet Witch stepped to the very back of the ship to radio Batman. "I'm in. They trust me."

"Good. You're doing the Justice League proud, Wanda."

Scarlet Witch hung up, an uneasy feeling eating away at her. She knew this wasn't going to end well, one way or another.
