V. - Moving
Exactly a year after the small talk between the brunette and his sister has passed, and the four siblings have moved to a different nation. Evelyn grew up into a strong, young adult, capable of completely living by her own. This time, she was much smarter and capable of providing herself food. She became the female version of Technoblade – her eighteen years old brother – but much more empathetic towards younger children, and with more love and sympathy towards actual human beings. Unlike her pink haired brother, her behavior seemed to be more friendly, despite her being rather quiet, still uttering just a couple sentences a day in fear of her words being misunderstood. She expressed herself through her actions.
Moving to L’manberg, Wilbur’s new nation, brought over a couple of troubles. First of all, there’s always been so much to do, for the nation to actually stand. They needed new people, needed to build the walls of their territory and an actual base for them to reside in. Despite it all seeming like an amazing plan, the young elytrian smelled something fishy behind it all. As if the young blond, mainly dressed in green and with a mask over his face, planned something, that might potentially ruin them, or ruin the nation. Unlike her brothers, the girl was much more cautious and careful around the trio. She tried to befriend the ravenette by helping him on his journeys to the hell’s place, accompanying him while gathering resources, while she also helped the brunette. She helped him with brewing his potions, often getting praised for her skills. It was tough, with both her brothers right at her tail at all times, but she managed it anyways. Techno refused to live in L’manberg for some reason, and built his own base far from the small nation, but Evelyn didn’t mind. The two siblings still had a good relationship going, and so she visited him quite often. Mainly, because Techno, out of all three boys, understood her the most.
What started a small conflict between the girl and Will, was the fact that she refused to wear her uniform. Unlike Niki, or Fundy – Will’s and Sally’s son – she hated the dark blue fabric of the coat, and puffy sleeved shirts. She hated the way the red, wide belt stuck the shirt to her waist, and the way the brown pants looked in the combination with the other clothes, and so instead, she stuck to her black fitting sleeveless top with a high neck, fitting shorts and her leather belts that sat nicely around her waist, thighs and upper arm. She also wore a leathered sword pouch, that nestled in between the pair of her large wings, holding the enchanted sword in place and ready for attack. Wilbur hated it – he wanted Evelyn to listen. He was older after all, and he felt powerful over the girl due to that. Little did he know the monster he’s been raising.
“Hey Evelyn, have you seen dad?” the young fox hybrid asked, when he spotted the young elytrian. The winged girl came over and smiled, offering her hand to the boy to take him to her brother. The fox kindly accepted and walked along with her towards an office, where her two brothers were, along with Niki and Eret. They held some sort of a meeting, and of course the Herobrine’s child, and the meeting would be present. Will always said the three of them were the backbone of the nation, when it reality, it was Tommy and Tubbo, who actually worked the hardest and built some sort of a character.
“Fundy I told you to go outside!” an annoyed voice called blindly towards the slowly opening doors, making the girl confused. Instinctively, her wing on Fundy’s side outstretched behind him and covered him up, pulling him closer to her in order to protect him. Ever since she was young, she instinctively learned that when someone yelled or screamed, it meant danger. The brunette looked at his sister with visible concern and annoyance, rolling his eyes at her. Evelyn hated this. Ever since they moved into the SMP, Wilbur has became more busy, and less invested in his actual family, as if all he craved was power over everyone around him. ‘He will lose it all, eventually.’ Evelyn thought to herself, feeling a small hand play with the feathers on her wings. “I don’t want him here now.” He said sternly, making the girl frown, but take the boy outside. He looked at her in confusion as they walked out of the office, and out of the nation’s space. She saw the hurt behind the boy’s eyes, and almost felt the painful sting that was left behind those words.
“Lyn, I’ve never been outside the walls, I’m scared.” Fundy pleaded, tugging at the feathers gently. The girl smiled at the hybrid reassuringly, her wing pushing him a little bit to signal that everything will be okay. “We’ll go and see uncle Punz, what about that?” she asked in return, taking his hand once more. The young blond was one of the only men she trusted. He proved her, that he would not hurt her and if anything would happen, he’d be there to protect her. She didn’t quite understand why – Punz had many other things to take care of, but he always denied that and insisted on protecting the elytrian, even if it meant it would cost him his own life. With Punz though, resided another boy around Tommy’s and Fundy’s age, so she figured they might become friends. Fundy agreed and followed silently, excited to meet new people.
“Evelyn are you fucking nuts?! The walls were built for Fundy, to protect him, not for you to go and take him out! You’re insane!” The brunette yelled, silent pleads from the young hybrid resonating from behind him, begging the adult to stop yelling. The Elytrian rolled her eyes, crossing her arms on her chest. “Take off your armor, that is an order.” Wilbur asked of her, taking off his hat to encourage his words. The girl scoffed and shook her head, not doing what she was told for obvious reasons. For sure, the man had something in his head, that involved possibly hurting her, and she refused to let him. Her stubbornness got the best of her though, when she felt a sharp pain run up from her arm, where a wound has appeared after getting threatened by her own brother. The sharpened iron sword the man held drew blood from the girl’s arm, blue dripping down her forearm and dropping to the ground. The young kid in the back cried and ran over to the elytrian, apologizing for his father’s actions, which she couldn’t quite understand, blood boiling in her veins.
“You made your own son apologize for your actions, Wilbur. I don’t know which one of us is the insane one here.” She spat back, letting the blood run down. She didn’t care at this point, letting the confused man stare. He couldn’t quite process two things – how the hell was her blood blue and two, how could she be right. Why did her words hurt him? Why did they make his chest squeeze so painfully? “Maybe, just maybe, you should think for once, you ‘president’.” Muttering with obvious venom in her voice, the teen pat the boy’s head and turned her back to the man, taking her leave, the netherite sword on her back swaying in between the tied up wings. Tears never fell down her cheeks, as she passed the group of L’manbergians and out of the gates, ignoring the silent pleads of her younger brother, begging her to stay, and forgive the brunette. The pleads stopped, once the stone cold expression with an even colder stare met his, shivers running down his spine. He swore he never felt colder in summer, like he did that moment. “I don’t care about him hurting me. Life has taught me more painful lessons, Tommy. Keep an eye out for Fundy.” Were the last words the L’manbergians heard, before an Ender pearl teleported the elytrian far away from the nation.
This was the new beginning for her. L’manberg has lost its first citizen.
